This is a rebuilt secondary school. The renovation internally is thorough and it does look and feel like a proper business hotel inside. Rooms are spacious, the facilities are in place, the beds comfortable, the breakfast well up to common standard in Sweden, which is excellent. We were on 4th floor which is the "attic" so some ceilings slope. Not an issue; the room felt large and cosy nevertheless. Very silent. The hotel is in a small park very close to the city centre, so access to town for dining out and shopping is convenient.

The parking, while just out front and super accessible, could have been cheaper. But it is the council who runs it, and they, not the hotel, set the price. As is common in Sweden, you can pay for it using one of the common parking apps, but if you let the hotel do it for you, you get a 30% discount.

The room was much nicer than what i expected, the bed and the pillows were incredibly comfortable, the staff was nice and very helpful, the breakfast was delicious and i loved that they have those big mugs for tea/coffee. Another big plus is that the bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower.

I stayed there for one night as it was the closest hotel to Folkuniversitet, where i was going to write an exam the next day. I was very stressed, but this hotel actually made the entire experience less stressful. The only things that I wasn't a big fan of is the absence of parking spots for guests, and the transparent elevator. For someone who has a severe phobia of heights, that elevator can be a real challenge, but for the rest of the people i guess it could be a plus. My child loved that elevator, so it's a matter of preferences.

Nice hotel, spacious room, friendly staff, good breakfast. Excellent location, close to the city center, everything within walking distance!

Our room was on the 4th floor and there weren't any curtains for the window, only a paper roll which didn't do much in terms of darkness. We stayed in july so the sun was up at already around 4 am, and the light got into the room after that. So i would suggest bringing a sleeping mask if the light bothers you!

The service was good. Big thanks to the girls at the receptions being patient to the request of the guests. The room was spacoius and the bed was huge and comfy. Very nice bath room with a bathtube and shower. Good breakfast.

No Air condition in the room. We had few table fans, but had a feeling of lack of the fresh Air in the room. We had only one tiny window coz of the room on the 4th floor (mansard) which we could not open wide coz of the rolller curtains. The sofa in the room was complaining every time you had a sit on it with odd sounds, that may only give hints how hard life it had. The room looked kinda different to the picture on booking.com. Most probably because of the lack of light cause we had no windows (tiny one by the ceiling) being on tge top floor.

Overall the hotel was really nice and the breakfast was great!

The hotel said it had parking, which is not quite true since it does not belong to the hotel. We did not know about a car parade in the city and were stuck in a queue for one hour (100m from the hotel). When we then called they said they don‘t don‘t think there are any free parking spots on the parking place in front of the hotel and not very helpful with finding an alternative.

First I have to mention how incredibly friendly everyone was. I had to send some packages beforehand and the hotel had to store them for me quite a while and the staff was so accomodating and helpful and always answered so fast. I really appreciated it. There were treats, a bowl and a blanket for the dog on my room. The hotel itself is lovely and super conveniently located. The breakfast room is nice and big. Would stay here again if I come back to Umeå.

We based ourselves in Umeå for two weeks and booked the hotel for three periods each of 2 to 3 nights. The location was perfect for us close to the river, the Umeå Institute of Design and the Vasaplan central bus station. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we appreciated being able to leave luggage when we went on side trips to Kiruna and over to Vaasa. We also enjoyed breakfast and the sauna.

Although the rooms were of a high standard as expected on arrival, despite our not opting out of room cleaning, this was not systematically done on the second day of our stay. In this respect the communication was deficient - the card to hang on the door was to "opt out" of cleaning, not to "opt in".

Very nice old building, clean and nice rooms. I felt welcome when coming in and got good overview about the available services. The location is nice just in the city. When I go to Umeå again, I'll just book here again, no reason to try anything else.

The breakfast was rather regular, not a highlight but not a disappointment. Parking was bit limited but during the evening a slot emptied and we got car parked there. On the other hand there was free parking few hundred meters from the hotel and the city felt very safe.

The historic building used to house a school and it has a nice charm to it. Although historic, it also has some modern aspects to it. Our room in the top floor appeared to be freshly renovated, clean and good-looking. Both the room and bathroom had a good size. We also had a fridge and mini-bar. The location of the hotel is quite good. It is next to the city center, a large bus station is close by, and the train station is also not too far which was nice because we traveled by train. However, parking slots for cars are directly in front of the hotel. Next to the hotel are some nice parks which was good because we came with our dog. The hotel provided a blanket, bowl, and a bag of treats for our dog which was nice. The breakfast was also super good and offered everything we needed. We would come again. Recommended!

Almost nothing. Minor thing: I didn't see an option for getting espresso-based drinks like a cappuccino during breakfast but also didn't ask for it.

Fancy hotel feeling for a reasonable price and in a great location. The staff were very helpful. The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was a very nice spread. Would stay there again for sure!

I stayed there twice. The first time, I was given a room by the elevator. Not good. The second time, I was happily placed in the middle of the hallway. Everything else was great except for one little thing during breakfast. The fresh squeezed juice is setup for failure. It is not mounted, doesn't have drip tray and the whole thing tips when you try to use it. A small complaint but easy to fix.
