We loved everything about this hotel. There’s so much to share but in brief, it’s just a 2 minute walk from the train station yet so quiet overnight. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area but more importantly the hotel is probably the best we’ve ever stayed in. There is a history to this hotel, clearly linked to London and the great granddaughter’s of the original owner are still there running things. The food / breakfast was amazing. Very fresh and nothing was packaged. They trust those staying to serve themselves to the snacks, beer and wine in the evening and note down what you’ve taken and they honestly could not do enough for you. The decor was lovely with a hint of London times, old and new. We would highly recommend this hotel!

Nothing at all. Everything was just perfect.

Location, how quaint and charming it is! We stayed for a night before boarding the GEX and the location is everything. Just a short 3 minutes walk to the station straight forward. Right in the centre of Brig main attractions too. The hotel itself and the suite we stayed are perfect for kids - very homey, comfortable, with nice toilet and strong showers. Toiletries from Molton Brown works too. They provide token for your hot and cold drinks at the breakfast area, and provide continental breakfast with eggs which is a plus before our ride.

The lifts are quite small and no laundry room on site. But given that its Switzerland, we understand and not complaining

Location of the hotel is very easy to reach from the train station. Reception is not always manned, but check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The interior of the hotel is very well-designed; the bedroom was simple but beautifully done. There is air-conditioning, but it's controlled from reception, so make sure you get it sorted out while someone is there. Looking over the town square is very pleasant. I believe there is an ongoing night-time noise issue with another establishment, but it didn't cause a problem with the windows closed. Breakfast was great - again, simple but well done. The breakfast room was lovely and there's a big balcony terrace attached to it. For anyone with mobility issues, there is a lift, but there are a couple of steps at the front door. I advised addition of a handrail, which I hope they follow up because that would be a great help.

Steps at the front door could be a challenge for some people. Centrally controlled air-conditioning was a bit inconvenient, but probably better than not having any at all.

Lovely space overlooking the plain. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and we had nothing to complain about. Close to everything. Lovely breakfast included in the price.

There are no real complaints. The pillow was a bit soft and there was only one per person, but I am sure if I asked for another they would have been able to help. We stayed on a Friday night and with the Christmas market on the plain it got a bit noisy and it carried on till late. I am sure it is fine at other times.

The breakfast was delicious. A variety of items to choose from as a buffet style or a freshly made omelette/eggs were also available. A great start to the day and all served with a fresh coffee. Staff were very friendly and we were lucky enough to be able to check in to our room early. Comfortable beds, great shower and a great view from our loft room windows. Highly recommend.

There was nothing negative about our stay at all.

We travelled to Brig to do a day trip to Zermatt then connect with the Glacier Express the next day. Brig was much quieter than Zermatt and the hotel was a lovely place to return to for the night. Close to restaurants, and the train station and in beautiful surroundings. Such friendly staff, spacious rooms for us and our children, and a delicious breakfast. Great value for money and the ideal place to meet the Glacier Express for the Brig to Chur leg (we did the Zurich to Zermatt section on the regular train). Would definitely return.

The only thing I can think of is the shower was a little awkward with the hand held shower head (I managed to spray water around the bathroom - probably user error 😕). But this didn’t detract from our stay. We loved the hotel.

My stay was absolutely fantastic! The accommodations were top-notch, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I could ask for. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. The location was perfect, with plenty of attractions and restaurants within walking distance. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great stay. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! They even allowed me to relax in the hotel's lounge area after checkout while I waited for my next travel, which was a 5-hour wait.

Close to the train station and near the centre. Lots of restaurants in the area. The staff were very approachable. Good view from room.

The shower area was very small and enclosed only by a curtain. The decor in the corridor is a bit scary. Just a personal opinion as other people might find it interesting.

The breakfast was stunning. Made to order omelettes, fresh juices, fresh meats and local products. I am generally a solo woman traveler, aged 45. This time to Europe, I brought my husband and three children. On a whim from a previous pit stop on the Glacier Express I booked a one night stay in Brig, at the Hotel De Londres. From booking to check-in, to the arranging of tickets to Brigerbad, Monika was amazing. Switzerland makes America look like a joke- which is why on my fourth visit to Switzerland in the last four years I wanted my family to see it's amazing people (like Monika and staff), scenery, hotel opportunities (like De Londres), and overall goal of life to be self-fulfilled by simply........breathing the air around. Although we visited Zurich, Lucerne, Bern, Milan and Venice besides Brig, guess where the rest of my family wanted to stay just a few more nights than ANYWHERE else- Hotel De Londres in Brig. Bravo! Everything was perfect!

The relaxed atmosphere and the lovely lounge area. The honesty bar and welcome drinks and cakes were a nice start to our stay. The rooms were spotless.

The shower would have benefitted from being a level access as the bathroom is quite small and the raised tray and heavy shower curtain is not a good option.
