Great location and extremely friendly and accommodating staff - helpful above what could be expected pre and during the brief stay with family members a across three generations. The children’s play area was much appreciated by young kid and parents.

We stayed during a seasonally warm time. The fans in the room were helpful but it was still hot and the windows (beautiful view) didn’t have screens so we had the choice between mosquitoes or airflow at night.

This place is, above all, full of history. The last emperor of Austria-Hungary, Blessed Charles Habsburg, stayed there with his wife, Servant of God Zita, and their family; the history of the castle is also related to, among others, the French Revolution. There is an old, very interesting chapel next to it. The castle is beautifully situated, overlooking the lake, surrounded by a vast, magnificent park; it has terraces, herb gardens and beautiful plants under the windows. Interesting interiors, especially historic staircase and the Silent Room. Family apartment consists of 2 rooms with a bathroom and a kitchenette; the apartment was very clean, well-equipped, with a nice view of the park and a side view of the lake. Breakfasts are plentiful and tasty. The price is high, but it is a castle after all!

A very charming little castle just above Lake Constance nestle in a beautiful garden, walking distance to the lake. The rooms a spacious and very clean, the bed very comfortable. Don't miss out on the excellent restaurant! The 4 course menu is an absolut must! Modern German kitchen from local produce. Delicious! The service is very friendly and accommodating! Same goes for the breakfast: very friendly service and local breads, marmalades and cheeses.

The location and the view were absolutely perfect. The room was quite cozy and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was a bit below my expectations. I would especially like to thank Salome from the reception and all the restaurant staff for their smiling faces and helpful behavior.

I didn't like some of the surly staff and their busybody behavior.

Solo travellers be aware that the walk to the hotel is through a forest path which is lit but you may not want to do alone at night

One of the most beautiful places we've ever stayed and a great way to end our 5-day circumnavigation of the Bodensee. We especially enjoyed the fireplace in the bedroom and it was just cool enough to be used. We were given a secure place to store our bicycles overnight. The restaurant was really impressive. We sat outside, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing--everything was high quality and delicious--and it was very eco-conscious (no plastic or packaging) which was really appreciated.

Arrival requires a bit of a steep climb for a bicycle. The water in the shower was not well regulated with bursts of hot and cold water. Totally minor things given how amazing the place is.

Beautiful location with a view across Lake Constance. The roman spa was blissful. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was very good. Beautifully restored chateau.
