I liked this small hotel in Arolla. If you are into hiking and prefer basic comfort für affordable money, this hotel is for you. It is located in a great valley with many routes. Blue lake is just 30 minutes by walking. I recommend to stay for a dinner at the hotel. There is no extended menu but their chef is good! All shared facilities are clean, staff members are friendly and breakfast is good enough. Parking is available on site.

I tried to contact Pension du Lac Blue via booking and their e-mail but never received a reply concerning my luggage that I wanted to leave in the morning. At the end it was possible but it would have been nice to receive a feedback in advance.

Staying here enhanced my overall experience of the alps and visit to Lac Bleu. It was a charming little spot, right at the start of the trail, tucked away in the wilderness. Also had some of the best carpaccio I've ever had from the downstairs bar/restaurant for dinner. The room was basic and typical for a wooden Swiss cottage, but it gave me everything I needed for a one night stay!

Breakfast looked average for the price, so just had a coffee which was okay.

Fantastic location. The only place in La Gouille and it’s just perfect. The price was very cheap but that didn’t reflect the accommodation. Clean, well organised and comfortable. The evening meal was a buffet and it was the best food I’ve had in a while. Fish, beef, pork, lentils, sausages, salads. Amazing. Even the desserts were top class. Breakfast was similar, best coffee I’ve had in 2 weeks. Staff were brilliant too. I will definitely be back

Convenient location at La Gouille. The place is well suited for those planning adventures in the Arolla valley. Evening food is presented and prepared by the cook and of very good quality.

Could provide hot water/ tea/coffee for early risers.

Wonderful pension right in the mountains with friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, right next to the mountain trails and bus. I just loved it and will certainly go back again!

Wonderful alpine guesthouse with period features and lovely, welcoming owners. Delicious food and a stunning location. This place is a real gem - don't expect anything fancy, it's a 'pension' - but it's one of the best pensions I've stayed at. They have a great selection of drinks, a large terrace, fantastic views. It's ideally located for some great hikes in the local area, which is full of wildlife, flowers and incredible views of the mountains. The dinner menu is short (3 or 4 options) but absolutely exceptional. Best fries ever. Thank you Jonathan & Margot!

It's an old hotel. The floors creak, the doors squeak, the locks are ancient, but man does it have character. It's comfy and the food is great. Wonderful patio. While the bathroom is shared, it's modern with new fixtures and nicely updated. Classic old style Swiss.

Place was amazing, although the beds were a little cramped, I was there with only 2 other guys. No AC but it's amazingly cool even during the afternoon so that was fine with me. Bus stop was literally infront of the building so it was great. Amazing location and it was peaceful
