Quiet location with free parking on site only a 10min walk to the old town along the banks of the Rhine River. We stayed on the 2nd floor, stairs only, but no problem to us. A very good fan cools the room in hot weather & there are opening doors & windows to the balcony. Comfortable beds & a very modern bathroom. Franz provided home made bread, jams etc for breakfast, which included fresh fruit .Both Franz & Marlene were very friendly & helpful offering tips for eating out & sightseeing. We felt the B & B was excellent value for money in a very expensive country, enjoyed our stay & would recommend it to others.

The room was very spacious and had a nice, private bathroom along with a balcony with good views. The location was very good, just a short walk from the center of town. The hosts were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.

It is a family B&B, they host you in their own house, on a separate floor - so it is private. Very welcoming! Comfortable, clean room and facilities. Excellent breakfast, including home made yogurt and jam. Excellent location, walking distance to the old town.

This apartment is located near the village center ( 10 mn by walk) ,very clean ,the staff is kindly and pleasant .The breakfast was excellent .I was very satisfied of our stay

Franz took great care of us, and made us feel very welcome into his house. The breakfast was very nice and set in a sun room with a small view of the Rhein River. The beds were very comfortable and the room had a nice balcony. We enjoyed the garden and it was only a 10 minute walk along the river into the center of Stein am Rhein. Would definitely stay here again.

The hosts, particularly Franz, were very friendly and accommodating. Franz gave lots of recommendations of places to see and things to do. He couldn’t have been more accommodating when it came to breakfast and any requests we had of him.

We showed up soaking wet after biking in the rain for two hours and the hosts put our clothes in the dryer for us. They didn't speak much English and we don't speak any German, but we were able to communicate well enough and they were extremely kind. The breakfast was top-notch. When we first arrived, we thought it was a little too far from the center but in the end, the view and the walk to the town (about 12 minutes) was really nice!
