The hotel was located in the centre, 5 minutes to train and bus station. The standard room was large enough with a good size bathroom. If you want a quiet room stay on the shopping area side and not the road side. We had breakfast most mornings at 20 francs each. The breakfast room is small, but had cooked breakfast, pastries, fruit, cerials, cold meats and cheeses, so was a good variety. The staff are very friendly.

It was very hot and there is no air conditioning in the hotel. They do supply a fan in the room, which did make it bearable. The breakfast room is also hot, as it is in the attic.

I really loved how the staff was so friendly and helpful. They let me check-in earlier than the usual time and let me pay in EUR when I was short of CHF. During the breakfasts, they quickly re-filled the food I intended to have, without me asking for more. The room was large enough for a comfortable stay, with quite an amount of facilities like TV, hair dryer, coffee machine/water heater, ironing table etc. The housekeeping was quite efficient and helpful too. They even told me how to use the coffee machine in detail. The location of the hotel is also wonderful, right in the center of town, which is close to most places. It was so easy to walk around and come back to afterwards. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay there and I recommend it to people who are visiting Winterthur.

The location could not be better - overlooking the old town and immediately adjacent to the pedestrian area. Just steps away from cafes, grocery stores, and book stores, etc. Just wonderful - the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful (including with our mountains of luggage). We could not have had a better stay. We had one night to break up a long journey between South Africa and Canada and chose this in lieu of staying at an airport hotel. What a gem! We were so happy with our choice and enjoyed seeing a little slice of Switzerland on our layover.

Location is perfect, in the city center and easily accesible. Room is wide and very clean, and even counts on a sofa and a quite good coffee and tea service.

Nobody in reception, so no opinion on the hotel staff. Self check in is not bad but a bit complicated at the beginning. It appears as a hotel with parking but you have to use the public parking in front and of course pay for it.

The staff were very kind and helpful. The room was very clean and was always being cleaned in time. The breakfast was good but there is room for improvement. There were at times noises from the street due to cars passing and people, but all in all really good. I will book again the same hotel for my next trip.

The breakfast had many options but could be better. For instance, there could be options for English breakfast or at least warm fried eggs.

Good bathroom with an excellent shower. Good location on the edge of the old town. Very helpful management. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room were good and the management topped up our supply of tea etc. on request during the day with generous handfuls of tea, sugar and cream. We felt content in our room.

Another chair would have been nice (two people need two chairs). The bedstead does not make for very comfortable sitting up in bed. More pillows would sort this, but is not an environmental friendly solution

EVERYTHING. Location, spotlessly clean & spacious/ modern. Owners/ staff were sooooo so lovely. Couldn’t fault a thing if I tried. The owner was even so kind as to bring complimentary champagne and chocolates (nice brands), for our anniversary. So sweet, we were blown away. The room was beautiful too.

Everything was perfect

The rooms were really comfortable with plenty of space, I particularly liked how they incorporated a desk, and how my suitcase fit neatly in the wardrobe. The nespresso machine was a nice touch. Excellent location, right nearby to restaurants / cafes / bars.

Aircon would have made this a 10/10 - it was quite warm in the room. But there were big windows that I could open and also a fan, so it was manageable.

The hotel looks very unassuming from the outside but our room pleasantly surprised me. It was modern, new, clean and spacious.

This hotel does not offer any parking. They have not made a deal yet with the underground parking across the road as a lot of other hotels have...

Location

Air conditioning is a bit old and not possible to regulate, which gives a permanent flow during the night directly on the bed due to the shape of the ceiling under the roof, so we got a bit sick in the morning
