Everything except below…. All around a fine hotel with great ambiance, good food, excellent location and very friendly and courteous staff. This comes from somebody who grew up in Winterthur.

The exercise room at the hotel is a joke! Too small and crowded, hot, outdated equipment (Sprossenwand ?? 😟) with one machine broken outright with dangling cables. Used towels don’t get picked up on a daily basis. It seems nobody paid attention. In this form it is useless, sorry. If improvement (expansion on-site) is not possible, then please give a discounted admission to guests who want to exercise, for example to one of the many Winterthur fitness clubs. If you want to be a top destination these days, access to a “real” fitness facility, on-site or off-site ) is indispensable. Please take this as a positive feedback, thank you.

Super friendly staff, all the way from first contact to goodbye. Breakfast lady was just superb in welcoming and remembering our morning drink preferences. Excellent location and also the windows were super-sound proof so even if there was a busy road nearby, you could not hear the sound into the room. Also very friendly cleaning staff. Family friendly!

Internet performance and stability was below expectation as well as the sound from the corridors and stair case was coming easily through the room door. Also, the breakfast buffet got easily crowded even with just a handful of people trying to get something. Otherwise there wasn't too much to complain about.

the breakfast was amazing, the staff was so kind and printed our parking pass that we needed printed for our hike. The room was clean and comfortable and had ajoining rooms for our family. The only complaint we had was with the pillows , needed a little more supportive pillows , other than that the stay was amazing !!! Thank you

Pillows need to be larger and more firm

We arrived only late at night and had to check in though the bar, but everything was arranged and it was smooth. I know this hotel well and have stayed here many times. It is always nice, good location, nice staff.

we were hoping to be able to have at least a cold meal, snack but I guess things close early in Winterthur.

Maybe a bit too much at the crossroads and the outside of the hotel look a bit outdated but nothing to be worried of as inside is well maintained and refurbished

There was an ugly plastic wrapper underneath the bed linen. Most likely to make it "hygienic" but it made me think of a hospital bed. I could not switch off the controlled air ventilation.
