Our host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She supported our visit in Sumiswald with great tourist information and restaurant recommendations. She took the time to answer all our questions about the history of the castle. Despite being in a castle our stay was exceedingly comfortable. We were happy for the modernization that included an elevator :). Amazing view from our room over the countryside.

Everything was perfect!

Its a castle. The hostess was very nice and helpfull. My room was very big and I had access to 2 bathrooms and a living area / kitchenette. Coffee and tea were available for free. The castle is surrounded by farms and is in a lovely location. I travelled by bike and there is a dedicated bike locker with all necessary utilities.

This BnB is a speciap treat - located in the Bernese highlands, very friendly staff, very clean. Breakfast had a good selection for a Swiss breakfast. There is a farm house nearby and some animals (allows for a beautiful stroll).

The room didnt have a private bathroom. The shared bathroom was very clean though.

Deborah was a great host, kept track of our arrival and upgraded us to a better room. Rooms are clean, very well furnished, beautifully decorated, makes the feeling of staying in a castle special.

Unique castle setting in gorgeous area, calm and healthy nature surroundings, very nice for families with young children. Nearby farm animals and sounds of cow bells in the morning and distant historic train 2 times per day. Hiking and biking region. Recommend traveling there by car. Approx. 25 mins to Bern.

Staff was friendly and welcoming, views were incredible and the castle is gorgeous.

The pillows provided were way to soft for my liking but requested a 2nd pillow and it made it all better.

Very clean, great breakfast, amazing setting (800 yr old castle in the gorgeous Emmental hills & farms). We walked to the Trachelwald Castle (and up the steep steps inside the prison tower) fascinating history!

Big, comfort, shiny clean rooms with beautiful view. Cozy room with book shelf for quiet rest or to meet friends. The heart of this hotel is its manager, who brightened everything with her presence and sunny smile.

The bathrooms were not in the room but the host upgraded us to having a floor to ourselves so we had the bathrooms to ourselves as well.
