It was beautiful and in a wonderful location and the people were so nice. It was obvious there was a lot of pride in the property.

The bunkbeds sucked. They are short. Walking on the ladders up to the second bunk was painful. The shower doors were confusing.

Big comfortable room, nice view of the mountains, close to the center and the train station (leading to the ski site). Ski rental shop just around the corner, ski pass can be purchased at the reception. Liked the breakfast and the possibility of swimming at the pool.

When I arrived at 16:00 the room was not ready. Had to wait until 16:40. When finally got the room, we discovered mold in the bathroom and strong smell of smoking (in a room that was supposed to be no-smoking room). We got another room the next day, which was clean and good. But then, at the next day, the room was not cleaned until 16:30 which meant that when we returned afternoon from ski, the room was not welcoming to have an afternoon rest. The swimming pool is something we waited for, the water temperature was pleasant, but the water quality was not (cloudy water). Wifi in room not stable enough to allow video call.

The location to go skiing is just great: bus station in front of the ski room! The view is amazing and the hotel is well equipped. Nice pool and good sauna. The rooms are very large and the balcony was amazing to use after a day of skiing in the sun.

The parking is a challenge if you don’t reserve in the garage. As well I had a very good experience but my parents had small issue with housekeeping that made their room very late. On my floor it was perfect, they did the room on time and even did more than what is expected. So it would be key to have things at the same level everywhere. As per my other comments on my parents stay: having a present general manager overseeing those details will make a big difference. In such a location and the type of client you need a strong personality who comes to check with the guests how they are, if their experience is good and manage those challenges. They are lucky to have staff who are doing a good job, as well without supervision!

It is very well located and the rooms are very spacious. The view to the valley is incredibly beautiful. We booked a junior suite with balcony and unfortunately there was snow and they said they cannot clean it. They offer us an apero as compensation. The thing is that in this room category you do have a balcony but if you are on the 3 rd floor and there is snow nothing is protecting the floor… my daughter had the same room one the 2nd floor and could enjoy the balcony with table and chair. We stayed 2 more nights in a double deluxe room (without balcony on the description) but there we got the balcony and could enjoy it. So make sure to ask a room where you can have the balcony available as well when there is snow. The parking is not easy if you didn’t book a garage. So be prepared for looking at parking slots. The location is great as you can go skiing with the bus just in front of the hotel. The lockers to leave the ski and shoes (with heaters) are great and you are sure to have your spot when you come back. Pool and sauna are very clean and new. There are enough towels. Regarding the housekeeping, each day was a surprised. 2 times they did the room only at 5pm… even if we were out until 4pm. As well they often forgot things. An eye for details would be great. Last but not least, the restaurant are ok and you need to book a table enough in advance in high season to have a table.

The staff are kind and friendly but there is a leader missing. They do the best they can, but the management is absent and this is a big miss for such a hotel. Having someone checking on how things are doing and managed bigger issue with guests.

The lobby and bar area are excellent places to relax and have a refreshment. The bar food was very good. Breakfast buffet was copious, and food was well displayed. Superb views over the valley to the Dents du Midi. Very convenient to shuttle bus stop, or walk into the centre of Villars

No coffee or tea making facilities in the room. No fridge in the room. (Room 027) Room was not ready at 1600hrs even though check is from 1500hrs !! Room was not made up on the second day, apparently the chambermaids were overwhelmed with the number of guests.

The rooms were clean and big. Housekeepers were so nice and thoughtful ( since we didn’t want them to clean our room, they ask us anything that we needed? Like water or …. ). Front desk employees and trainees were friendly and helpful. The price of the rooms were reasonable. Hotel was near to the center, less than 10mins walk to the Bretaye train station.

Uncomfortable bed and pillows were killing our necks. Me and my husband couldn’t sleep well. It’s a shame that we couldn’t try the hotel restaurant cause it was fully booked.

No hot baths

We liked very much the pool. The rooms are huge with very nice view and comfortable beds. The Italian restaurant of the hotel was really amazing from food to service.

Some of the reception staff not friendly but it didnt bother us much as all the other people were very nice, especially the reception manager. The restaurant of the hotel (breakfast and dinner) needs some improvements in terms of food as we are talking about a 4 stars hotel in Switzerland: not enough variety for dinner buffet with a bit above average dishes and poor wine selection comparing with the italian restaurant of the hotel/ breakfast was pretty correct but the scrambled eggs were tasting like made out of overcooked powder eggs.

Breakfast had a really good selection, but the cooked offering could have been hotter. Pool was lovely, but would have preferred it to open earlier to allow a swim prior to breakfast & skiing View from room was excellent

Shower head too loose to use as a standing shower unit, we had to tie it up so it remained stable whist showering No fridge in room, or tea/coffee making facilities

Some staff members didn’t seem like they were having a good time. The breakfast could be refilled a little quicker, but that’s a minor issue. All in all we had a lovely stay!
