Owner was thoughtful and arranged for staff to be around to assist us in our check in. On the last day he also helped us book a taxi to the airport. The 3 of us were allocated the ground floor room which we were grateful for as we dread to carry our luggage up the stairs. The room offers a small yard which was useful for sunning/drying items. Location was really fantastic. On the same street you can find delicious dumpling stall, fried chicken outlet and there is a simple breakfast place right behind the B&B that opens at 6am. The Dongdameon Night Market was an easy walk away and definitely worth a visit since it offers so many interesting food choices. They also have a section that offers aboriginal food items like the bamboo rice and wines. The Golden Triangle which was the prime eating and shopping zone was also about 10min walk away.

We wish there was more space for us to hang our items in the bathroom. The ground floor room was partitioned off so we were lucky that the other occupants were not loud when they refilled their water in the 'lobby' which was directly outside our room.

We had a wonderful time in Hualien. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and in a great location—within walking distance to the sea, the city center, and several cafés and restaurants. Communication was smooth and easy via WhatsApp, and support was offered whenever needed, such as helping us order a taxi. We highly recommend this place and would definitely come back!

Room: really spacious, impeccably clean, the bathroom in particular was gleaming, one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed! Bed was big and comfortable. Location: pretty good location but was a 40 minute walk to the train station which wasn't ideal. There was a really nice coffee and sandwich place close by called Seedson Coffee which I would recommend. Staff: we only saw the owner when we checked in and then didn't see anyone again during our whole 3 night say. This wouldn't have been good if we needed to ask questions.

I paid with my debit card and the full amount was taken from my bank account a few weeks before we arrived. On arrival, the owner asked us to pay in cash and said we would get a refund. I didn't get the refund until 28 days after our stay which was really annoying as £186 was missing from my bank account for 6 whole weeks.

We had a great one night stay at Avenue B&B. The host kindly waited for us to check in and gave us his parking spot upon leaving. Our room was super spacious, comfortable, had great A/C and had a lovely bathroom/shower. It was perfect for what we needed and affordable beyond our imagination.

There is construction nearby but was only audible during the day. So you're aware, there is no elevator so take it into mind when considering what suitcases you carry.

Big, bright, beautiful room with balcony and natural lighting. Windows in the bathroom. Balcony has a nice view of the mountains. Comfortable bed. I asked for a knife to cut a papaya and the staff provided it to me. Thank you. Great location close to the beach and restaurants.

No elevador. No parking. You need to search for parking on the streets and pay during the day. Construction site in front.

We were allocated at a room on the 3rd floor. luckily we only had a big luggage as carrying the luggage up the stairs was a challenge. The room is as shown in the photos. It is comfortable and spacious. The owner was also very caring who follow up check on us if we had arrived (our checkin was late), and gave clear instruction how and where to collect our room key, etc. Appreciate it. Location is reasonably good. On the same street you can find simple breakfast place near the B&B. The Dongdameon Night Market is just about 9mins walk away. There are many stalls but likely due to the low peak season, the night market was relatively quiet.

Very clean room and close to the nightmarket. It's also quiet modern. There are some nice coffees and breakfast stalls close by which makes it good walkable. The train station is quiet far away though.

You can only pay by cash and despite it being called "Bed & Breakfast" there is no breakfast option.

We enjoyed our stay at Avenue B&B. The rooms were super spacious and clean. The host also seemed very nice. We didn’t speak the same language but used a translate app for most questions. They messaged us the day before hand to ensure they would be there for our checkin and let us checkin a couple hours early without any issues. Location was also good for us and we discovered a couple cute cafes near by.

The room is big and clean. Strong water pressure for showering. The location is near the night market. Ample free parking lots around if you drive. Really value for money.

If the room is stored with an electric kettle, it will be better because we stayed at level 3, It was quite inconvenient to collect hot water from the ground floor living room every now and then.

Lovely furnished home, very clean and room was spacious. Amazing location with just a short walking distance to the biggest night market (Dongdamen Night Market) in Hualien and also very near to AMAZING breakfast places in the area (the owner will recommend some places to you!). Price per night is also very reasonable. The communal living room area is closed due to Covid so there’s not much facilities but there’s water dispenser and hot water in case you want to eat instant noodles lol.
