The hotel is really interesting and well-designed -- located in an old warehouse building. It's got real charm and doesn't feel like a boring, regular hotel. Each room is uniquely decorated, with cool furnishings and great individual touches. Super clean with big beds and LOTS of space in each room. Excellent bathroom with a heated toilet seat and a fabulous shower/bath set-up. Each room has a mini fridge, kettle, and separate seating area, which is great. The breakfast is good value and changes daily. The dining area is hipster charming. Staff is all great and super willing to help. The location is a bit outside the city (which we thought was a good thing since Hualien's downtown is a little more "gritty" and noisy. Definitely don't miss taking a walk on the nearby greenway bike/pedestrian path, which starts about 5 mins from the hotel and leads all the way into the downtown area of the city. It's beautifully done and wonderfully peaceful. Also, the Flower Space vegan restaurant, which is a 8-min cab ride away, is one of a kind. Even if you're not a vegetarian, it's worth trying!!

The hotel is a bit outside of the downtown, so you'll need to take a 5-10 min cab ride to get in/out of the central part of the city + to/from the train station. But, as noted above, I don't know that you'd necessarily want to stay downtown as it's a bit noisy, industrial, and the buildings are older. We really liked the location!

- wifi connexion cannot support a web meeting - it is far from the city center but the hotel provide bike in a good state with light for night biking - important to mention the check in time or you may find no one at the hotel - there is no room with garden view, all the rooms face the road.

The leaf inn exceeded my expectations, the room was big, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel lobby is like a break room at a startup company, you can tell the owner put in a lot of effort in decorating and maintaining the place. We rode the free bikes from the hotel on the bike trail along the harbor, the view was great, especially in the early morning during the sunrise.

breakfast time started at 8 am and we had booked a tour with puck-up already at 7:30 am, so the staff was really nice and prepared a piggy bag for us with breakfast. bikes are provided free of charge, which are needed, there the location is a bit outside of the city center

The facility was clean and spacious - everything was great! Complimentary coffee in the morning was a nice way to start the day. They have a large area for gathering in the morning or at night where you can sit and relax, or play games (which they had a variety of). Great history to the building - be sure to ask.

A little bit off the beaten path but a nice walk in the morning down to the harbor/inlet. I'm sure it is easy to get a taxi but we had dinner on our way in so didn't need to worry about that.

The room was super nice! The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very large! They did provide free parking which was very nice. Additionally they gave us a good sized breakfast with a lot of food! All in all a very nice place.

The location is far away from the center of the city. But very close to the beach! You definitely need a car or scooter to get around.

Really very nice place, unusual, quiet, attractive, and clean. Friendliest staff I've ever met in a hotel.

Clean and modern. Room was spacious. Staff was excellent, very responsive, and even made breakfast to go for us when we had an early morning start for a tour. They also had bikes we could use to ride around Hualien.
