Perfect vacation in aluna paje, everything was perfect from the first to the last day. Reception on arrival, help with activities and taxi , the organization for a safari, the food and always the room cleaning were very good. Very secure hotel day and night. Special mention for the best Khamis and Maxmillian always ready to help you to make your stay as magnificent as possible. A team with very good people. Best hotel at Zanzibar.

I recently stayed at Aluna Paje and had an overall positive experience. The room was comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the staff was generally attentive, especially Ms. Aisha at reception, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the breakfast options a bit more flexible. It would be great if guests could select more than one of the same item, particularly if they don’t want some of the other available options. With a bit of flexibility and variety at breakfast, Aluna Paje could be even more accommodating. Nonetheless, it was a wonderful stay, and I’d recommend it for anyone visiting Zanzibar!

Needs improvements in the bathroom.

All regarding the property was perfect. It was located a few minutes walk to the beach approximately 3-5min walking. The staff were all amazingly great who would go extra mile to make a stay comfortable. The room was spacious, well lit, clean with a beautiful balcony as well with a private bathroom. The breakfast offered was great with all the options as well the ginger shots were our favorites.

Honestly there’s nothing we didn’t like regarding the property just the electricity which is a major issue in Zanzibar in general as blackouts were frequent.

The staff here are amazing, so friendly/kind!!! Shoutout to Max at reception who was just so cool!! There was another gentleman who sometimes at reception with him but I never got his name. They both were so lovely! The pool was a lifesaver because the beach has no natural shade and didn't see anyone renting umbrellas/chairs so you could only stay there for short periods of time. The activities the hotel offered was a nice touch. My friend and I did the salsa lesson and it was actually well attended and the instructor did a great job. Enjoyed the breakfast options and my room ("family room"- was all that was available but found the extra space and bigger balcony nice). Also nice that there was a sink on the balcony to rinse my swimsuit or hand wash anything I wanted to. Just an overall great experience. Lighting in the bathroom was also great for doing makeup. A full length mirror and some hooks to hang purse, sweaters ,etc would be really great additions. Thank you!

Didn't seem to have control over the ac temp but I made do.

the staff was extremely friendly and helpful all the time. always doing their best to help us. the room was cleaned on every day basis, had nice furniture, with good overall quality. it is very close to a modern (western style) supermarket which is an advantage. the breakfast was delicious.

during night time it becomes noisy (because of the locals who work/play music or just chat with one another till late). it is indeed relatively close to the beach and the restaurants with good cuisine but keep in mind that there is almost no street lighting, the “streets” are narrow and many locals try to interact with you and sell you some stuff. the net above the bed could be improved as especially in our room it didn’t close precisely, luckily there were no mosquitoes.

We loved our stay at Aluna, the staff were very welcoming, always polite and super friendly. It was so chilled here, you’d wake up have breakfast and tea or coffee. We loved the health shots and freshly made juice in the morning. At around 5pm staff came around with tea and homemade biscuits to show their appreciation for staying with them. Me and my husband loved everything about it.

The hotel staff were really helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Khalil, Max, Habiba, Avit and Charles. Also Alex who booked all my transfers and tours/activities during my stay in Zanzibar. The hotel is also close to the beach which is nice and there are a lot of shops and places to walk to near by. I enjoyed my stay and even booked their branch in Nungwi as a result.

The hot tub wasn't hot (possibly due to rainfall).

Great pool, lovely ambience, about 7 min walk from the beach. They have a generator so you’re not too affected by the power cuts. Comfortable bed and working AC.

The breakfast wasn’t fresh or tasty. There’s lots of options, but of everything we tried only the scrambled eggs were okay. We are thankful that we were allowed to change rooms after the one allocated to us was across the road from the hotel, had no mosquito net, and was full of flies. The room we were moved to was much better.

Very friendly and helpful hotel staff, well equipped rooms; wi-fi and AC were running reliably; excellent breakfast; beautiful inner court with pool, palms and bar; daily room cleaning; very high service-level and customer orientation (small issues could be solved immediately thanks to well trained hotel staff willing to walk the extra mile)

24h laundry service took almost 48 hours to deliver clean clothes (however completely neglectible on vacation - except you are travelling for business purposes and need your suit cleaned for the next day).
