Privacy, spacious room, great view from the pool. Good prices at the restaurant.

chlorinated water! Even from the water tap! My skin was so dry. Imagine if you want to take a bath and it is also chlorinated after spending whole day next to the pool. Leak of English speaking staff. Sometimes it was difficult to talk. Average quality of breakfast. Too much pastry, too little healthy options. Milk was sour. There were tiny ants in the room. Pool has no jacuzzi, armchairs we’re not supposed to use after pool but they were there :( it supposed to be some beach chairs to sit after getting dripped

Having a private pool with sea view in the room was excellent. Clean and large rooms, polide and helpful staff, good breakfast with many options. Quite place on the top of green hill.

Cleaning must include the unseen places like under the couch. There was a lot of dust and bottle caps which is not belong to us. There was 2 big wardrobe in bedroom but without shelves. Also hangers was not enough. There was no shower cabin,only bathtub in the bathroom. You should stand in the bathtub to take shower and hold the showerhead on your hand because there is no holder. Bathtub faucet should be renewed because leaking.

Privacy and Spacious Room

Outside the room it was bit old, Entrance to the hotel is very stiff road difficult and scary at night. Nearby no restuarants or shops.

The entire facility is crazy good. The food at the hotel was so good, we stopped eating outside. Especially as a traveler, when you seek to experience local cuisine; they were pretty good. We stayed at the 2 Bedroom pool villa and it was beyond beautiful. The rooms are amazing and the beds are super comfortable. We stayed here for the last 4 days of our trip and frankly, if I ever visit Phuket again; this is where I'm staying for the entirety of the trip.

Breakfast wasn't the best - limited options, also the Kitchen timings are a bit weird as it only opens at 11AM. The WiFi could be better and the only downside is there's a weird smell in the toilets across the hotel - from the reception to the rooms. Not sure if this is because of the drainage since it's at the top of a hill but the smell was quite unpleasant and we had to keep the toilet doors closed. Bring insect repellent if you're staying here as the hotel is surrounded by greenery so there's a lot of insects. This isn't the hotel's fault as there's open area in the 2 Bedroom pool villa.

We enjoyed a delightful 4 night stay at Amala Grand Bleu resort having a private pool /ocean view room. The outlook looking out over the ocean is SPECTACULAR with us sitting outside everyday enjoying the vista. Being up higher meant that it is cooler and often didn’t have the aircon on until nighttime. The room is a large size (separate bedroom and lounge) , bed extremely comfortable (we brought our own pillows with us) and good air con. Our room was cleaned everyday and was done exceptionally well. Top marks to the team for their attention to detail. The breakfast has everything you would want to eat with the fresh fruit and freshly cooked omelette my ‘go-to’ every morning. Coffee isn’t to our taste. The staff are pleasant but communicating to them proved a challenge. The easiest way to communicate is via ‘WhatsApp’ as they are very prompt in their response. The resort also have very strong internet. The shuttle down to jungcyclon, Patong beach is a great service and we caught a ‘Grab’ taxi back to the hotel costing about AUD $10. Would we stay here again, definitely but would bring our own toilet paper. Some of the thinnest I have ever seen in all of our travels. Things we feel could be improved:- the shower- is hand held in the bath. This was a challenge to wash my hair . Also not the safest getting in and out of the bath considering we had water spraying everywhere. The toilet paper is some of the thinnest I have ever seen. I’m sure they could get better quality. They are also such small rolls you are always running short. We had only one lunch at the resort restaurant but choose not to eat here for any meals except breakfast as there are much more authentic Thai food at Patong Beach. Definitely a great find and good value for money. We would have stayed longer than 4 days (had originally booked for 8) but the shower put us off from having an extended stay.

It was a nice spacious room with a beautiful view. You cannot beat having your own private pool especially when returning to your room after being out in the humid weather. There was no loud music or rowdy streets nearby as the Amala is up on a hill. There was free parking for our scooters. All the staff were super friendly and very happy to help with anything you need. Having room service til 22:00 was handy for lazy nights.

The noise from other rooms travels through the walls quite a bit, especially if kids are running around in the room above and jumping in the pool. It takes a long time for the water in the shower to heat up and once it does it constantly goes between freezing to scolding hot water. The room service food was okay but a bit pricey for what it was. There are no lifts, so access to rooms is via stairs. There is a little maintenance that is needed in the pool area, with a lot of the pool tile missing grout and 2 of 4 pool lights not functioning.

The four bedroom villa was very spacious and has lap pool with amazing views. Very relaxing feel and perfect for our family. Our son had plenty of space to run around. Sunset view on the property was the best. Location was reasonably situated 10mins to Patong and Kamala. They have a shuttle service runs only twice daily.

Despite requesting for a van pick up from airport, the resort only subcontract small taxi to pick us up. The location was up the hill so very steep drive and walk from reception to the villa. Being close to jungle/vegetation, there were understandably bugs nesting near the terrace pool area. The sewerage system might also be questionable because on the last few days, the toilet got clogged and bathroom smelled odd. Despite the staff tried to fixing it, the smell lingered for a couple of days. The ensuite shower in master bedroom was also in a weird position so the water tends to flow out into the vanity area when taking shower.

We had a great stay at this hotel in Phuket! The hospitality was truly commendable, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. A special mention to Sun from the F&B team, who was incredibly kind and attentive to our son such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more memorable. The food was delicious, with a great variety to choose from, and our room was spacious and comfortable, providing a relaxing environment throughout our stay.

However, the swimming pool could use more maintenance. We noticed that the water circulation wasn’t proper, making the water feel a bit slippery (licin). This made us hesitant to let our small child swim, as we were concerned he might accidentally ingest the water. We truly hope the management can look into this to improve the overall experience. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would love to return. With some improvements to the pool, this hotel would be absolutely perfect! 😊

The room is amazing. The most comfortable bed and pillows ever. A beautiful and relaxing space. The pool was great and cold!

Masaman curry was very disappointing even though its recommended on the menu. There was a dirty razor left from the previous people who stayed in the room. The air con is so loud and rumbles you can't sleep with it on. We were told if it rained no car or scooter would come up the hill... lucky it didn't rain!

Amala deserves better reviews. Staff is very warm, friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic (highly recommend the butter chicken pizza 😋). The price you pay for your own private pool compared to other hotels on the island is a bargain. View & vibe are beautiful. Floors and pool were clean when we arrived. Makes me sad that we’re leaving but 10/10 recommend. There is also a shuttle that leaves twice per day for Kamala and Patong beaches. After visiting 45 countries this might be the best place we’ve stayed. If you’re taking a bike be careful because the hill to the entrance is very steep and curvy so watch out for other cars. I wish I would have remembered the names of the staff but the women at reception and man at breakfast were incredible. Jesus bless 🙏
