The two sisters who managed Grandfather hotel were very kind and welcoming. The AC was a little different than what I was use to (1 remote handled all the AC units in our large apartment) and I had a little trouble with one of them. The sisters came over and helped us get them going and the rest of our stay was very nice! They made us breakfast and everything they prepared was delicious. They always had fresh watermelon and pineapple and made omelets to order that were quite good. Also, the banana bread muffins and mini pancakes were tasty and didnt need any butter or syrup to be enjoyed. Since we were traveling with my wife’s elderly mother who has some medical issues and also can’t hear very well, there was one day where we were doing the Surin island tour and snorkeling (which was amazing btw) and it was too much for our mother in law and the sisters offered to check up our mother and we REALLY appreciated that!

The street getting to hotel was tucked away and basically required a vehicle (most guests rented mopeds). On the flip side, it was quiet and private which was nice. Also, it would have been nice if the pool had lights for night swimming. There wasn’t any evening activities at the resort, (but there was at a restaurant/bar and live music at the Happy Snapper next door that was super close and we walked to twice.

It was such a peaceful place to stay. The pool was lovely and relaxing. The breakfast was great. Staff were friendly.

It would be difficult to manage the location without a car. There were some small details in the room that could have been easily improved; no soap in the dispenser, we had 2 showers in our room and neither drained, not all areas were cleaned well. Staff told my partner they would decorate our bed as a surprise for my birthday but they didn't do this.

The staff are extremely kind and very hospitable. They welcomed me after a long journey from the airport with a cold drink and then helped take my luggage to the room. The room is exactly like the pictures, very spacious, modern and clean. AC is very strong and works well. Also very quiet area so if you want a peaceful sleep around nature this is the perfect place. When I checked out they helped me call a local cab to my next destination.

10/10 nothing I disliked! I would recommend staying here

Location is a little off the beaten track, which made for restful nights and glorious jungle scenery to wake to. The room was surprisingly big, the breakfast area a delightful space to dine in and the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

Towels could have been changed more frequently, but perhaps that was on request. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Location was great, it was very clean, had everything you needed, the bed was very comfortable, it was lovely having a veranda overlooking the pool & gardens, it great being able to rent a moped from the resort which was very reasonable.

Peaceful location with lovely pool. Very comfy rooms. Staff were friendly and kind. Great breakfast spread with eggs made to your order.

We had a car to get to beaches, restaurants, shops, etc. You can walk to the beach in approx. 20 minutes though.

Very quiet and small! Staff was incredibly nice and they also have motorbikes on site for rent! 150 baht/day for the motor bikes (~$4.50USD/day). Great location, within 5-10 minute motorbike ride to “main drag” of town or the beach!

Honestly nothing! It was great!

Great bungalows in a lovely setting. Kindest staff An, Ai and We who were so friendly and helpful provided a fantastic cooked breakfast each day. Can’t wait to return next year.

Nothing. Everything was perfect

Really great place! Beautiful and quiet location. Rooms are big and clean. Swimming pool is really nice. Free bicycles and scooters for rent. Staff is great and super helpfull. Would love to stay here again someday 🙂

Nice and cosy Resort, clean and well maintained, near the forrest, friendly staff, good breakfast and coffee. Refreshing pool and every evening the frogs doing their best to entertain you 😀
