Location in the traditional part of the town and the hotel itself is also charmingly traditional (don't expect a western style business hotel) . Very easy to reach the main attractions without transport. Eateries are around but they are for locals, not so touristic. Staff very helpful and easy to communicate.

This accomodation is full of charm and character, the building is 150 years old and you can feel the history. Staff take great care of the building and ensure guests are equally respectful of the space which we appreciated. We felt very looked after, staff were kind, helpful and offered plenty of local knowledge and suggestions for how to spend our time in Bangkok. Located very near major tourist attractions, including the palace, temples, museum, flower market and china town. Breakfast was top notch, each morning we were served a new dish that would include a side and something small and sweet. Very tasty and made with care.

A true hidden gem in Bangkok Old Town! This place is absolutely wonderful and a must-stay if you're looking for an authentic and peaceful experience. Located at the historical heart of Bangkok. What truly sets it apart is the quiet, local neighborhood, brimming with incredible street food options. It's wonderfully laid-back and relaxed, a welcome escape from the more touristy and noisy Khao San Road, which is still only a 15-minute walk away if you want to venture out. The hostel itself is a beautifully renovated old historical building – you can feel the character! The rooms are spotlessly clean and super cozy. And let's talk about the breakfast: simply amazing! They served a traditional coconut and rice flour cake wrapped in banana leaf that instantly transported me back to my childhood, reminding me so much of our traditional cakes in Vietnam. It was a delightful touch. The staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly, making you feel right at home. We honestly loved everything about our stay and can highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Bangkok!

The traditional Thai breakfast were prepared fresh each morning and were absolutely delicious. The hotel was within walking distance to some of the main attractions and very close to authentic Thai street style restaurants. The owner Em was exceptionally helpful and welcoming. He assisted us with a slight fare problem with the taxi driver on arrival to the hotel and walked us around the local area pointing out some of the better restaurants and dining options and gave advice on the best way to reach sites we were interested in visiting.

Being and older building, noise does travel, but this is not a criticism of the hotel, more a reflection on inconsiderate noisey fellow travellers.

I wanted an authentic place to stay in the old town but near enough to attractions( palace, temples, boats which it is ) and this was a cute, happy place. The room was spotless and beds changed daily. The bed was so comfy I had difficulty getting out of it. Em the host was magnificent and knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble. But the best of all, his breakfast OMG stunning, using his Mother's recipes. I'm in Cambodia and the breakfast is nice but how I was spoilt there..If you want authenticity stay here amongst the Thai folk and eat the Street food...amazing.

The star of Neighbor Phuthon is its hospitality and location. Located in a heritage area of old town and within walking distance of The Grand Palace, this is an ideal place to stay for those looking for a cultural experience. We must not forget to mention the staff, Em so helpful and friendly, always giving good tips and pointers and available to guide you through your day when possible and the other staff make this small place a very nice experience.

Due to the area and significance of keeping the buildings original, there will be some noise. So if you are a light sleeper, remember to bring ear plugs and eye mask and you should be fine.

Gorgeous building, a heritage building on a quiet street 10 mins from the Grand Palace and other attractions, a really nice place to go back to. The owner was lovely, helped us out with laundry and very useful for attractions to visit and any information needed, even had an instagram page of the accomodation and ready information. Convenience stores and heaps of cafes/restaurants nearby, we recommend cafe No14.

- Breakfast is a bit limited, more traditional heavy foods than what we are used to, we stuck to local cafes. The water pressure was a bit less than what we are used to, especially the sink tap. Our room had a leak but affected more below us than actually us, the owner was very quick to respond to this issue. There is no fridge in the room, which was a bit frustrating but not a huge deal, perhaps a little drinks fridge could’ve been added? I don’t recommend paying extra for a room with a garden view, because the view is just a public grass patch :/

Stayed 2 nights. Great location. Old building renovated. Apparently belongs to Royal Estate. Very cosy. Quite square location of main streets. But still many restaurants and cafes nearby. Close to Grand Palace Great Asian breakfast. Nice Courtyard. Other than breakfast we did not eat in Cafe but using breakfast asa reference have no reason to believe it would not be great too. Staff very friendly and helpful

Room was a tight squeeze but to some extent to be expected of old semi industrial building. But bathroom and bed were great

Breakfast was fantastic, the location was great, and our room had daily linen changes and was kept clean. The hosts were so nice and we had a fantastic time using this as a home base for exploring Bangkok! They provided plenty of recommendations and again, the included breakfast was SO good!

Noise pollution is a bit of an issue for the road-facing units, especially if you haven't been to SEA before-- more just during the day. Quite firm mattress with one pillow per person and a small throw pillow-- very minor annoyance if you're more used to hotels with four pillows on the bed to recline on while watching TV.

We really enjoyed staying at this cozy hotel, in a quiet neighbourhood close to a lot of sights, such as the Grand Palace. Em is an amazing host and recommended an excellent restaurant to us when we we just arrived. We immediately felt like we've arrived in that lively neighbourhood. On top of that, he recommended us to visit a local floating market, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our stay. Breakfast is very good as well and authentic Thai food. Also, Neighbor Phuton provides fast laundry service at a very reasonable rate.

The wooden floors can be a bit noisy at night, but not really an issue. After all, you're staying in a 150 year-old heritage building in the heart of old Bangkok
