Absolutely perfect, as always! This was my fifth stay at Villa Varich, and it certainly won't be my last. Everything about this place is wonderful, from the peaceful jungle setting to the free bikes and kayaks, the warm and welcoming owners and staff, and the clean, private, and comfortable rooms. Even though it's tucked away in nature, the Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, making it easy to work remotely and take video calls. You can also order food or transport through Grab without any issues. One of my favorite touches is the outstanding, locally roasted coffee that's stocked fresh in the room every day.

We had a great stay at the beautiful Villa Varich. While it was just a short one and we didn't see much of Chumphon we did use the kayaks provided and massage was great too (you get picked up, the drive to the massage place was fun and you got to see some of the surrounding beautiful area too. The staff was super helpful and recommended restaurants in walking distance other and activities. You get to see and most of all hear the jungle vibes which was a great change to touristic Koh Phangan/Tao and busy Bangkok. The Villaroom that we had was super clean, comfy and had a great garden/river view too

The room said soundproof but definitely wasn't. You get to hear and enjoy the jungle sounds full blast (it was surprising how loud zikadas can be and that the liked to bonk the door). We didn't mind the noise, but you should bring earplugs if you do. Better than paper thin walls and loud neighbours in other places though.

the location is far away from the main road and very quiet. the room size is ok. the villa is good for a small family or 3 persons. the place is next to a canal and is very peaceful. no breakfast provided but sufficient fruit, toast with coffee butter jam etc is provided. Amenities in the room are allright, some milk and cornflakes are provide in the room. Chumphon is a nice quiet province and good for local cuisine and seafood!

the light in the room is very low and not good for reading or working. must have own vehicle if planning to stay here.

A beautiful spacious room with a lovely shower and private outside seating area. The staff were incredibly accommodating and it was such a lovely and peaceful space to be in. The common area was also perfect with breakfast every morning and lots of places to sit. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. They also had free bike and kayak rentals. There’s also an amazing private restaurant not far from the place called hug you cafe. The best food we’ve had during our trip so far. Amazing. They have activities and will help out with arrangements too.

The owners are very friendly and very dilligent to managing this property. The grounds are stunning and the unique decor reflects the surrounding town and country landscape. The row of bungalows that straddle the canal only add to the beauty of this accommodation property. If it's peace and relaxation you seek, then this place delivers. The architecture and gardens and cool shade is fantastic here. And guests get free parking. My room had a car port, which is another outstanding feature. Very close to Chumphon, you can walk there if you're feeling adventurous.

My room had little in the way of counter/table space. Organizing items was a challenge. The water pressure in my shower was pretty weak.

It is always a pleasure to have only good things to say about a place. Villa Varich exceeded our expectations. The reception was easy, we were allowed to check in early, the receptionist was gracious and helpful, spoke excellent English and provided us with a nice map and lots of information about the area such as good restaurants and things to do. A HUGE bonus is that they have Kayaks available to use, for FREE! So we stayed an extra day to Kayak the river and it was great fun. Also, bicycles are supplied free! A nearby restaurant with Hug in the name (can't remember the entire name) served the best fruit som tam I've ever had.

Lovely place to stay. Our room was super although our balcony had no view. There are deck chairs by the river with a fabulous view - this place really is a very tranquil and beautiful place. There are kayaks and bicycles which you can borrow free of charge. Eating out in the area is a little tricky as it is quite remote however it is entirely possible to cycle to good places to eat. Breakfast was a nice selection of fruits with toast, jam and coffee. There was coffee and hot chocolate drinks available to make all day in the breakfast area. Our room was very comfortable and even provided free snacks - biscuits, cereals and milk which was a real treat. Staff were lovely.

This is a little lush oasis outside of Chumphon. We loved our stay here, lovely coffee, great beds with nice linens and towels, staff could not have been more helpful They give you milk and cereal and biscuits with the coffee for a breakfast in your room plus they leave out toast, butter and jam and fruit in the communal area until 1030. Free kayaks for using on the river and bicycles for the quiet lanes so you can get to the cafes/restaurants nearby. You can also get food delivered. This place was superb value for money, 10 out of 10!

Mosquitos but they give you anti bug cream, and it is Thailand after all! This won't stop us coming back here later in our travels. Thanks again for a great stay 🙏

The property is located in lovely rural surroundings only around 5 km from the town center. It is a most relaxing environment. I liked sitting on the deck chair just outside the room watching the river flow past and all kinds of birds. Get the same kind of room as we did. You wont regret it! You will need your own transport (bike/car) to get around from the property. There is no formal breakfast service, but lots of plentiful free food available each dayj local drip coffer, toast, butter, jam, bananas, cerials, milk etc. Higly recommended.

We loved our 2 night stay here in January 2025 as part of a motorbike tour to the south. Lovely villas, well appointed with plenty of privacy. Tastefully and eco furnished. Expected more bugs yet hardly any during dry season. Wildlife on site and at the riverside was amazing. Felt like we were staying in the jungle. Hire scooters on site, free bicycle, and kayak use. No breakfast yet they set out hot drinks, toast,butter,jams and fruit as well as leaving boxed breakfast cereals and milk in your villa.....so plenty to start you off each day oh and free daily packs of drip coffee.....it's ace!
