Be super careful staying here! OMG 😱 the stairs going down to the rooms & villas are beyond ridiculously steep!!! I can't believe this so-called resort didn't put in even a simple handrail

The extremely steep stairs do not have a handrail and my wife fell & was severely injured, her head and both of her knees Beware !!!!! The location is incredibly difficult to reach by car 🚙 or motorcycle the road is barely wide enough for one car! Scary 🫣

Amazing views Nice swimming pool Good food but pretty expensive (and they did not mentioned that it was super spicy, as they usually do)

The beach was not clean The service was not what we expected for this price The place is super isolated, they did not warn about this (especially if you want to rent a scooter, the nearest rental shop is +40min away and you are not sure if they have one)

The property has an older building and some new rooms and a new reception/restaurant/ pool area. The new parts are nicely designed and are comfy. The staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful. We received a free transfer on our check out. The view is very nice and the vibe is relaxed and quiet, as you’re far away from other properties, towns and restaurants.

The common areas of the older buildings could use some refurbishing, there were even some dangerous areas with steps falling apart and steel supports of platforms completely rusted and eaten away. Beware of the monkeys, don’t leave any food and beverage items outside, as they will come in the morning to steal it and make a mess. They are aggressive too, so don’t get too close.

A Peaceful Retreat on Koh Chang From the moment we arrived, we felt immediately at ease. The location offers a calm and beautiful view of the bay, making it the perfect spot to unwind. The rooms are comfortable, well-kept, and thoughtfully designed, providing a relaxing atmosphere to return to after a day of exploring. The staff is warm and attentive, always available when needed but never overbearing. You can tell they truly care about ensuring your stay is pleasant. The food is a real highlight, with the chef preparing meals that are simple yet full of flavor. If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful place to stay on Koh Chang, this is definitely worth considering. We would be happy to return.

What didn’t we like? That we had to leave. Honestly, everything was perfect. The only downside was that, after such a great time, we had to head home. It felt like we had just started to fully enjoy everything, and then it was already time to go. We would have loved to stay longer and hope to return soon.

If you enjoy privacy and want a peaceful retreat, this is the perfect place for you. Due to the steep and narrow paths on the island, combined with the resort being at the end of the island, getting there can take some time. However, the location and atmosphere of the accommodation, along with the pool and restaurant of the resort, will not disappoint you. The staff is polite and friendly. Breakfast is available in sets, and the food is delicious. There are kayaks available for free; you can paddle across to the other side, which is the Bang Bao pier (there is a 7-11 store there).

The room is quite old and has a musty smell; the pillow has mold on it. There are no shops or restaurants nearby within walking distance. There are quite a few monkeys. The accommodation is not suitable for disabled people or the elderly because the paths are quite steep.

If you’re looking for peace & quiet with exceptional views, The Bhuvarin is definitely the place for you on Koh Chang. I would recommended paying the little extra for a prime villa as the view from the room is worth every penny. Very friendly staff but also extremely helpful. Tip : It’s worth renting a scooter directly from reception as they will assist you with renting one upon your arrival !

The view from the resort (and pool) on the bay and the pier is stunning. As is the room. The pool and restaurant area are beautiful too and the staff is extremely nice and helpfull.

Nothing really, but maybe some more sun beds would be nice. For breakfast you have 4 choices of which the healthy one comes with 4 pancakes and hardly any yoghurt, room for improvement. Good to know is that the location is a bit more remote than other hotels.

The location and view are just simply amazing. Can't get better than this but it's a bit tucked away so you will need transport. Their staff was so friendly and helpful, I would like to thank everyone at the Bhuvarin resort for all your help! Overall an amazing hotel!

There was a sewage smell coming out of the toilet but regardless,I would book with them again and would recommend to the next person for sure!

Location - the location is lovely but if you sent to visit the rest of Bang Bao the in-house transport is limited. Not starting until 11 is too late & final pick up at 5 is too early. Recommend hiring a scooter.

The best pool with the best view in the whole of Koh Chang. The staff are amazingly friendly and go above and beyond to ensure your holiday is enjoyable. The resort is very relaxing and perfect for couples who want a piece of paradise. The evenings are very quiet but it's only a short taxi journey should you want some night life. After which you can return and truly relax with just the noise of the waves gently lapping on the beach. Food is very good with a selection of western dishes as well as many exciting Thai choices. But ultimately The Bhuvarin resort is made special by the team that works there. They really have got it right. I can't describe exactly what I mean but there's no mistaking their true wish to give you a holiday from everyday life. I know they are 'doing their job' but the smiles and wishes are real. In summary if you want a beautiful piece of paradise with close options for more active pursuit then The Bhuvarin resort is the perfect place to stay. Already dreaming about our return in 2025.

We honestly can't find any dislikes ourselves. It's very isolated but for us that's perfect. Plus there's a free shuttle to the local busy areas eliminating that should it be an issue for you.
