On plus side: Mongolian tents are situated right at top of this site and have the advantage of giving you a real sense of Wild Living, with the bonus of brilliant sunrise and sunset views. The social area pictured on their site has excellent wifi, has beautifully designed seating/lighting, with view over bay. The sound of the sea is a constant here, lovely. You're welcome to hang out in this area without ordering tho I suspect no outside food/drink accepted. Staff mostly from other countries so several languages offered. Be warned though - there are a LOT of steep and roughly hewn steps up to the tents area, and the loos are either a long walk distant, or down same steps. A measure of fitness needed! And I'd hate to do it with a suitcase. Also it's a good 30 mins' walk to the Pier area, tho push bikes are provided, so you're mostly bound to eat and drink on site, and prices are higher than elsewhere. Plus the swimming is challenging to access from the rocks, though I did snorkel and it is a good site weather permitting. My tent had holes in the thatch - wet season, tent area could be an access issue with all those steps. But as long as you know these things it's a gorgeous place!

I loved the quiet location, the views, the laid-back atmosphere of the common areas, the friendly staff, the restaurant onsite, the bikes available to go around for free, and how easy it was to organize tours, dives, the trip back to Bangkok, and everything I needed.

I was in one of the top bungalows. Wonderful view but room was quite small, and not enough furniture/space to properly unpack. It would be ok for a few days but since I stayed for 2 weeks, I was hoping to be able to get my stuff a bit more organized, instead of living off my suitcase. Bed was not very comfortable. A hammock in the balcony would have been nice. Bathroom was quite small, without a shelf to put stuff on (shampoo, toothbrush, etc.). A lot of ants in the room too. But all in all, since I didn't stay in my room much, and the vibes were so amazing, I still loved my 2 weeks over there. It was good value, and I might go back!

The property fronts both a sandy beach that faces onto the Bao Bang bay and a rocky headland that perfectly frames the technicolour sunsets. Our bungalow faced out onto the beach and the sunrises and the bar/restaurant/reception, with its swings and beanbags, looks out on the sunsets. Perfect. The property is affiliated with BB Divers Koh Chang which are based at Bao Bang Pier. We were hoping to dive Koh Rang with them the next day but they'd maxed out numbers for equipment by the time we enquired at check-in. They did have room on the boat for us to snorkel and that was definately worth it! The bungalow itself was a good size, with a fridge and plenty of space for bags and space to hang clothes. An enclosed porch at the front included bean bags gave us space to leave our shoes/beach things without bringing sand inside (can't leave things outside or the monkeys will nab them). Food at the restaurant was delicious and well-priced, as were the cocktails. Kayaks were free to take out off the beach without reservation (just wear booties/sneakers or be careful where you tread when getting in and out at beaches and bays as some areas had wood with rusty nails in). Last but not least the cute cats they look after on the property!

The toilet never really flushed properly and was already a bit blocked when we arrived. Monkeys having a midnight snack in the trees above our bungalow and dropping bits on the metal roof with a boom, waking us up. Wore earplugs the following night. Sorted.

Great property with beautiful sea view from the lobby / restaurant. You will literally be chilling above the waves of a rocky beach. We rented out the free kayaks and bikes and had a wonderful time kayaking to a beautiful sand beach, 30m away. It was thrilling as we kayaked underneath the pier. There is a very cute dog and a couple of friendly cats. And a turtle! Loved my stay, would recommend for people with no back issues.

Our mattress was a bit stiff and somehow really warm to sleep on, though that is my first world kind of complaint. I still could sleep pretty okay! Bathroom had no window.

I’ve loved to spend the night in their tent, on top of the cliff it’s the first place on Ko Chang where I really felt the magic of being immersed in the Nature. Well lightened when in movement , but fully dark when in the tent. The sound of nature to fall asleep, my best night so far on the island. Only little concern is about the price, conscious it is very very high season, still is a tent , so need a short walk for collective toilets and showers. I’ve loved it , and didn’t mind. But I believe it could cost those 200/300baht less. SAID THAT, I am travelling with my dog, and so far it was the 1st place which didn’t charge me for the dog and where it’s been ideal to stay with Ugo.

Me and my friend shared the Mongolian tent, single bed each, it was on the cliff top, beautiful surrounding, you could hear the waves. We enjoyed the outdoor shower, the toilets were a little walk, so in the middle of the night we went wild. We stayed during Xmas the value for money was great, although food and drinks did add up, but happy hour was appreciated. Beautiful seating area with hammocks, quiet and easy to relax, cute pool, beautiful beach on the other side, where you can use kayaks.

Tents not suitable if you have any disadvantages physically/ ability wise, as up very steep steps. Toilet a little far. There was only 1 little shop close to us, but for us that was fine as we wanted a very quiet relaxing time.

Everything. Great quiet chilled out place right by the sea with lots to offer. Staff were amazing so friendly and couldnt do enough for you. Let us print out some documents and even made us a takeaway breakfast for when we left early. Loved the friendly dogs on site. Swimming pool was brilliant and actually cooled you down. Food was good. All round brilliant place to stay.

The only thing for us was there was a lack of space to put clothes. That's all.

I spent some very relaxing days in a very comfortable, clean, and well appointed bungalow in a brilliant location at a very reasonable price. The views are amazing. The staff are super friendly and helpful. I only have positive things to say. Others have criticized the lack of nightlife, but for me, that was a plus. There are many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, but I don't know what they are like because the house restaurant had everything I have wanted just a few steps from my door.

It's a bit awkward to get to by public transport, but that was my own fault for not researching in advance.

Awesome restaurant with many delicious meals. The area is rural but so nice with nature and the sea nearby. This is a place to relax. If you want to party or do the restaurants you need to go somewhere else, buut for me this was excellent.

The free bikes have no working brakes. Be careful when you use them. They are dangerous in this hilly landscape.

We stayed there for 3 weeks and we can safely say, there is no better place to stay :) Good food, lovely personal, awesome sunsets, nice for snorkeling, quite but not to far away from the next supermarket, beach, cliffs, all you need is there.
