We find this hotel excellent in every way and have stayed here at least 4 or 5 times. Our son lives nearby so it is super convenient. Staff and management are really good in particular Noy in the Food and beverage management. Highly recommended 👌 We shall be back there again ❤️

The resort itself and areas to chill are fantastic. You pay more here than other resorts because of the pool. Which is worth it because it gets hot! The location is kinda isolated, which you will either love or hate. We love the peace and quiet. The nature sounds are beautiful, and the ac was good. The rooms were clean, and the staff was helpful. (Ming or Ning) and Jack were outstanding and deserve something special. The fact that we could use our credit card was very convenient. The resort also offers direct transport to the hotel, which was awesome for our first time.

The food was a bit pricey and could use some less fried options. There are a few other restaurants at klong koi Beach, but you have to have cash. So bring enough with you for your stay. There is taxi service at the end of the beach that runs all day and can take you to an atm or the other beaches. It would be nice for the hotel to offer shuttle service once a day at least, even if for a fee. The bathrooms need a little work, but they were clean and functional.

The location is at the end of the road of western Koh Chang. You are the last tourist and there are not many others. Walking to the nearby village which is a clutter of houses/shops on a pier is nice even though it's a steep climb and decent. Loved the beach and the jungle

The manager of the place tried to explain why they didn't clean our room until the end of the day. No need to explain, just get it done early if the client so request. And level of English could be a lot better with the staff, but hey, my Thai wasn't that good either 😀 Restaurant need to pick up the quality of the food, but we managed

Very nice and relaxed location in the very south of Koh Chang with a nice pool. Kayaks can easily be rented at the resort and are free of charge for 1 hour. The breakfast buffet was rich and good. Nice coffee machine with excellent (!) coffee and a variety of coffee options – the machine has sometimes its ‘own will’ though. Staff was superb: little shy in the beginning, however extremely helpful and friendly – even on challenging topics. Thanks to Natty and the complete Shivapuri team.

Beach is great, swimming however is not so easy due to the very shallow coast and some rocks.

We really enjoyed exploring the tide pools during low tide (bring water shoes!). Our seaside cottage was perfect. The pool was very nice and right on the beach which is great because ocean swimming is difficult in this area due to the reef. We loved being in nature and seeing animals, sea, and jungle all around us. Breakfast was ok but may be better during high season.

During low season everything was pretty shut down around the resort with minimal staff. They are attentive but limited menu, breakfast options, poolside bar was closed, etc. During high season I would expect a different experience. Also the sand flies were very bite-y this time of year so bring repellant with DEET. It would be lovely to have a shuttle into the village available as the song thaew doesn't come by often, perhaps this is an option during high season?

This was our favourite resort due to location on Ko Chang. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Natty the Manager was extremely welcoming, efficient and resourceful. Breakfast buffet was delicious with both Western and Thai choices. The atmosphere looking onto the beach from breakfast area, on the sand beach restaurant and bar magnificent. In this location you can watch both sunrise and sunset. We hired a scooter to get around. Our preference is to enjoy the surroundings and not huge "party people" therefore the quiet enjoyment in the evening for pure relaxation hit the spot perfectly, this is not the spot for late party goers though. Most venues shut around 9-10pm Feb 2025 which is consider higher season. Their hotel prices for food and beverage (beer and cocktails) were very reasonable. The grounds are lush with plants and trees and stunning lighting in the evenings beautifully maintained. The pool was divine: clean, cool and was able to get shelter from the sun in parts (being a red head) most important. Plenty of sun loungers including on the breach front and a nice beach sand and water. This is a smaller number of rooms resort and therefore has a very intimate personalised feeling without that usual "overrun by tourist" situation. You can walk along the beach to other food options and Bang Bao Pier is a short Songthaew away if you're not a competent scooter driver (Ko Chang road have very challenging bends and curves steep inclines and declines etc but hubby is a motor bike rider!). I recommend a private transfer from Ko Chang Pier as it is a good 38 min drive to the bottom area of Ko Chang and the entry is a little rough but totally worth it. Their massage ladies are the best: Eie and Ploy can deliver either that strong Thai or more relaxing type which ever you desire - again reasonably priced.

Absolutely nothing

We loved this sleepy vibe; the beach is perfect for swimming with lots of natural shade and has alternative restaurants within 5-10m walk for drinks or dinner. The hotel has a lovely pool, with a child section and fountains and the decking is well maintained. There are foot and body showers. We ate a dinner of fish on the bbq which was delicious and cooked perfectly. The fire show added interest. Staff are welcoming and helpful; translation can be difficult at times but they are dealing with many languages. There is a well stocked book swop,jenga game and noughts and crosses available. The wooden swings are popular with adults and children. The wooden sun beds are comfortable but some backs need repair or replacement. Swim towels are thick and plentiful. The gardens are well maintained with some lovely grafted orchids and swinging lanterns. The hotel organised our transfer from Kai Bae for 700 TBH. The last section is unmetalled but has very few potholes and we have travelled across far worse across the world. The hotel is well placed for visits to Bang Bao fishing village and The Ghost Ship. The speedboats pick you up off the beach for trips to the local islands or the national park via the pier. The hotel also organises private boats. There are a few sellers of sarongs and bracelets but it is predominantly quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the superior double; perfect! The shower had good pressure and hot water, the hanging rack was useful for drying clothes and the bed and pillows were the most comfortable we have had on this 3 month trip. Cleaning was great and the towel animals showed pride and care. The foot tap was useful on the patio. The air conditioning was quiet and effective. The massages were great; a good strength and at 300 THB for a standard massage were competitively priced. The breakfast eggs were well cooked; there were yoghurt jars, muesli and fruits and salad, and a range of bread. Expectations matched price. There were some Thai options too.

Even better if: 1. WiFi was stronger and more consistent as you move about the property 2. Face towel and welcome drink would be appreciated given the distance some guests will have travelled 3. Conditioner was provided for hair 4. The safe key is attached to the door key which controls the lighting etc so undoing the safe makes it more difficult in the evening when you lose lights. 5. The coffee pots are hotter; guests boiled the kettle to resolve this; it was inconsistent across days

If you are looking for a getaway: this is it! Amazing resort built in style with nature with all luxury one wishes. Beautiful infinity pool looking out over the ocean, pretty cabins with super high roof and comfortable beds. Breakfast was good and staff was friendly (but didn’t speak much English). The bar and restaurant are located right next to the ocean and there are super fun cable-slides and swings! Right next to the resort there are several local restaurants on the beach and you can use a kayak (free) to go to the lively pier.

Nothing, but bring plenty of repellent as there might be sand flies.

It’s in such a great location, possible the best spot on the island. Peaceful area, but still with plenty of restaurants and bars a walking distance away, either down the beach or up the road. The beach isn’t crowded and it’s great for swimming (sandy underfoot in the water). Rooms are big, plenty of hot water. Breakfast is great, with everything you could need. The staff were so nice too. All in all, a great experience

The music played at breakfast / on the beach. But that’s a personal taste and it’s the same for a lot of places.

I wanted to find a private, more secluded place and beach to give me a chance to get grounded again. Chivapuri was just the perfect place for that. The fisherman's village of Bang Bao is just a 15-20 minute walk away. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a guided tour to mount Salakpeth and the road to Salakpeth is still damaged, so hiking there was not possible this time. The walk to Bhuvarin resort and back was totally worth it and had some really nice different views of Bang Bao and Konk Kloi beach. The staff is simply amazing and found a solution to every wish I had. They also managed to take care of the vegan meals I requested - and I could order special items only a vegan kitchen has and they would prepare my requested meals with them for me. I came as a stranger and left as a friend. I hope the staff felt the same way.

All was as great as could be.
