Very cosy, the hotel has a homely atmosphere that revolves around the main manager Naam. She is very nice, helpful, always smiling. She can arrange every conceivable activity on Lanta at reasonable prices, including transport, laundry, whatever you need. Just ask her. If you don't like her offer and have another one, it doesn't matter. The hotel is beautifully clean, the air conditioning is working. I also appreciated the breakfast combining continental and excellent Thai food, which we enjoyed very much. One of the best on Lanta is also the local beach Klong Nin within walking distance of about 150m. There is an ATM right in the reception and another one around the corner. This is because everywhere, except the shop, you have to pay in cash. You can also pay by card in the hotel, but with an extra 3% surcharge (to cover bank charges). There is also a gym in the hotel, full of trophies from the local club Ray Bay United. Just great. The best rooms are at the back facing away from the street. There is more space and quiet, the street is busier. There is a shop, pharmacy, massage and a number of restaurants and fruit shops nearby.

The only minor complaint I would have is the lack of one smaller and softer pillow, but that is just a detail due to my personal preference.

The hotel is in an excellent location, an excellent beach, just a few steps away, also food stalls, 7/11 restaurants. The staff is very nice and especially the owner of the hotel Nam who helps with every request, pleasant to talk to and kind. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

I came to stay at Rat Bay Hotel in Koh Lanta with my partner. The hotel is in a perfect location, being close to the beach and plenty of restaurants and services nearby such as laundry, bike rental etc. Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious, clean rooms with comfortable beds. We actually rebooked to stay here again and all rooms that we stayed in were comfortable and as described. water and toilet paper supplied on a daily basis. We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Koh Lanta.

Breakfast could be improved, pancakes and watermelon and scrambled egg were enjoyable but it was the same every day so we did look elsewhere to eat.

Great hotel amazing value for money! For the price and star rating this hotel exceeded all of our expectations! The hotel staff at Lanta Ray Bay are genuinely some of the kindest people we have ever met. They were all so incredibly friendly and helpful and really went above and beyond to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. The people alone made our stay here in Lanta all that more enjoyable. Location is 10/10 30 second walk to Klong Nin beach - a really chilled out beach with loads of cool beach bars. 7/11 is 1 min walk around the corner. ATM and tourist booth in the lobby of the hotel which is really convenient, so you can easily book any excursions / ferry / onward travel, as well as hire scooters from the hotel at a cheap price around 200/250 baht per day. The hotel itself is really nice too, clean and comfortable with all the facilities that you need including free bottles of water each day. There is a gym which is great too - small but sufficient and for the price it’s such good value. We also had breakfast included and were thoroughly impressed - you get juice, tea/coffee, fruit and a main (recommend the omelette or pancake option). We have been travelling Thailand for a few weeks now and this hotel is by far the best that we have stayed in and the most incredible value for money. Thank you again to the lovely staff for such a great stay.

Very good hotel in the best spot of Lanta. Room was spacious and comfortable, cleaned everyday. Great breakfast with decent options. Staff is super welcoming and they can help you with any tour bookings you may need. The location is the best - close to 7-11, restaurants and the beach (of of the best in Koh Lanta, in our opinion). Tip: go to Rasta Baby restaurant at the beach!! We simply loved our time there.

Nothing, it was perfect.

We loved the considerations of the staff at the hotel especially the woman behind the front desk( sorry I forgot your name). She made us feel part of the family and was always ready to say hello and have a chat with us. Breakfast was adequate and regularly replaced. The location is great and a few minutes from the lovely beach. It felt like home from home.

It is difficult to find fault with the accommodation after a great stay. The walk up to the room doesn't do justice and perhaps a lick of paint would improve this.

This hotel was amazing, extremely clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. One staff member in particular, we think her name is Nam, she was so kind and helpful helping us rent a motorbike and even booking our transfer to Krabi, she was amazing! We have been backpacking south east Asia for 2 months now and this was by far the most comfortable bed we slept in too!

A spacious well air conditioned room with a comfortable bed. Nice pool.

The rooms are very close together around the pool area giving very little privacy. At the time we stayed there were a lot of families with young children so there was quite a lot of noise around the poolside rooms… just an observation.

+ Good location to explore the island (cheap scooter/motorbike rentals nearby) + The beach by the hotel is one of the best on the island + Great restaurants and beach bars right by the hotel. Even if you don’t stay at this hotel, I would recommend staying in this area because of the great vibe! + Helpful staff

- The bed was hard and the pillows were so bad! We barely slept for the 3 nights we stayed at the hotel - Breakfast wasn’t very good. Would only recommend the french toast, but it’s not enough to keep you full for long. - The hotel could use some fresh paint

Originally booked for 1 night and ended up staying for 4! The staff were just the best! Went above and beyond anything we needed they were there to help. Rooms were clean and comfortable, good value for money in a good location couldn’t ask for anything else. Thanks so much to Nam and the other staff members we will definitely be back next year!
