I’m not now to give a 10 star review, but for the Banana Fan Sea, I wish I could give an 11. Incredible facilities, located right on the beach and close to everything, big comfy bed, and the staff was SO helpful and nice. Will 100% stay here again when returning to Koh Samui!

The location was perfect . reception staff were such amazing guides. Rooms are lovely too.

It was a bit dark walking back to the room coz we saw a tiny snake we could have killed if we didn't have a torch.

My partner and I stayed at the Banana Fan and celebrated my birthday there. We absolutely loved everything about the Resort but especially the staff. All the staff are very friendly, professional and extremely efficient. They go above and beyond. We had a dinner on the beach for 11 of us to celebrate my birthday, the staff made it a very special and memorable dinner. The decorations, the food and presentation were all fantastic. Special thanks to Nong Nong and her team on the night. The beach is lovely and clean with soft white sand. The Resort is located on the best part of Chaweng beach. The Breakfast buffet was very good with lots of choice, something for everyone. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. The Resort is in a great location with lots of cafe / restaurants around. We especially enjoyed Le Bistro opposite the Resort for a coffee and snack.

The layout amid the lush nature. Buildings not higher than the palm trees. The location of the restaurant overlooking the beach is just stunning. Everything is clean, staff is absolutely lovely. Excellent location, not in the hustle bustle of Chaweng but still in walking distance from facilities. There is also a big supermarket just across the road with a section selling wine, beer and other alcohol. We had the room with the balcony overlooking the sea. Perfect place to do Pilates or Yoga.

It’s a shame one can’t sit around Kevin’s bar unless you’re in the pool. It’s more a missed opportunity rather than an issue. Drinks can be ordered on the deck chairs around the pool, or sitting in the restaurant.

The location of this hotel in Chaweng Beach was excellent with the pool spilling out onto the beach and then at the back of the hotel, the shopping and food street. We walked everywhere. The buffet breakfast was yummy each morning and the atmosphere was relaxed. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially our taxi driver Yen who took us to the airport. Thank you for having us.

Location, cleanliness, friendliness of staff

The guests put their beach towels on the pool chairs to claim their spots, and then left for hours at a time to go back to sleep, eat breakfast, get ready, etc. There should be a time limit on how long guests can be gone from their chairs and keep their spots.

My recent six-night stay at the Banana Fan Beach Resort in a Superior Double Room was a truly enjoyable experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly courteous, polite, and accommodating, always ready with a smile and eager to assist. Our room was refreshed and cleaned daily (with just one minor hiccup quickly rectified). The overall service was excellent. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the breakfast. Included in our room rate, it offered a vast and plentiful selection, ensuring a great start to each day. The resort's facilities also impressed. The infinity pool overlooking the beach was simply stunning, providing a perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. Having both a pool bar and a beach bar meant refreshments were always within easy reach. The pool itself was a good size, and the daily fresh pool towels were a welcome touch. The excellent WiFi throughout the resort was another bonus. The location of the Banana Fan Beach Resort is ideal for exploring the area. Being within walking distance of numerous bars, restaurants, and shops, with a supermarket conveniently located opposite, made it easy to get around and find everything we needed. Whilst the Big Buddha and other attractions aren't within walking distance, they are easily accessible by other means of transport. Overall, I would highly recommend the Banana Fan Beach Resort. It offers a relaxing and convenient beachside escape with excellent facilities and friendly staff. It’s a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday.

My only minor observation is that there was occasionally some noise from nearby clubs and resorts at night. However, this didn't significantly detract from our overall enjoyment.

Wonderful Family-Friendly Resort We had a fantastic stay at this lovely resort as a family with children. The large pool is very child-friendly, and so is the beach, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing holiday. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, always ensuring a great experience for guests. The facilities are excellent, adding to the overall comfort of our stay. The breakfast is exceptional, offering a great variety of delicious options. However, the dinner menu at the resort’s restaurant is not as exciting as some of the nearby restaurants. Overall, we truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it for families looking for a great vacation spot!

Our stay at the resort was overall enjoyable, but there are a few things to keep in mind. The weather can be quite windy at times, and when the wind exceeds 5 m/s, the beach becomes inaccessible. During these conditions, a lot of debris washes up, and the water level rises, making the beach disappear entirely. The surrounding area is dominated by large resorts, so if you're looking for a more authentic beach experience with small restaurants and fewer resorts, you’ll need to head west to Bang Po Beach. Despite these factors, the resort itself offers great facilities and a comfortable stay. Just be sure to check the weather if the beach is a key part of your plans!

Management should take steps to curb unruly Israelis smoking & having their own speakers blasting music disturbing the peace of others.Having blow up mattresses & playing ball in the pool which is rude as its a small pool & all others stay away.

Great location of the resort being right on the beach; you'll enjoy your beach days or if you're not into the beach the pool is right beside for guests facing the beach/ocean. The beach is really clean also. Breakfast included in the rate was superb with lots of hot and cold variety along with fruit and pastries. It's more than enough to satisfy your breakfast. Facility was cleaning, always saw staff cleaning each day and are always friendly. Note, there's no AC in the bathroom so it will be slightly warmer than the main bedroom which does have AC. Walking distance to good restaurants, coffee shops, massages and a 7-11.
