We stayed in the Golden Monkey for 2 nights and loved our stay there. It's in a great location, walking distance to the beach (the beach is beautiful) also very close to the shopping centre. There are nice bars and restaurants in the area, it's a slightly quieter area on Chaweng beach, the late bars and clubs are about a 15 walk up the road. So ideal really as it's better for a good night's sleep but you're still close to all the action. The owner June is really friendly and helpful. The bedroom was a nice size and the bed was very big and comfortable. Thank you so much June and Charcoal for looking after us.

I had such a great stay here! Even though the hotel is located right above a bar, there was very very minimal noise disruption. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-kept, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. As a group of girls travelling together, we also felt completely safe here, which made a big difference. The location is super convenient, with everything right on your doorstep. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for both comfort and a lively area without worrying about noise.

it was in a great location, very clean, comfortable bed, internet was super fast as inworked remotely, i really needed that. overall 10/10. and the owner has the cutest dog i have EVER seen!

there was some constructuon going ln from 10 am until 7pm so there was some noice, but it was not something disturbing at all

The place is in an excellent area of Koh Samui, The place gives a feeling of home. room is spacious. manager is a charming guy who is always happy to help,

The place is renovating some rooms so there is a bit of noise in the afternoon, but this is temporary. bedding and towels were clean but there were holes in some, the place only has 2 floors and there is no elevator, stairs are at a sharp angle. (in the style of Amsterdam stairs) I had no problem with this. But some people, especially older people, may find this difficult.

The room was great, very big and clean. everything was exceptional, Wi-Fi, location, air-con, bar downstairs with a pool table, and the owner June is extremely lovely and welcoming. We hoped to stay longer!

The room was comfortable and very spacious, and everything was exceptionally clean. The manager is very friendly and accommodating, and there are some very cute pups in the downstairs bar area! Downstairs there is a bar with snooker, which we didn't use but which seemed great for socialising. You can select whether you want the room cleaned and they kindly provided bottled water each day. The Golden Monkey is in a great spot- close to some bars and restaurants, and a 15 minute walk to the shopping centre which has a great food court and supermarket, and live entertainment most evenings. It's also opposite the access way to Chaweng Beach.

It's a little noisy in the evenings-mostly due to the mobile Muay Thai advertising vans-but this tends to quieten down by 11, and we actually slept really well throughout our stay.

The Golden Monkey is situated literally across the road from the beautiful beach and a short walk up the beach road from the main hub of shops and restaurants. June, Beelec and Moon were all fab and nothing was too much trouble for them. Anno gave us great advice when one of us desperately needed a health massage and they very kindly kept the bar TV on when we wanted to watch a late football match, even restocking the cider shelf for me half way through!! Definitely recommended!

As the town of Chaweng is busy at night there's not much they can do about the noise and dogs barking. Also the singer in the community area out front could do with a few more songs in his repertoire, lol

This spot was great - June and the staff are the best, so nice and accommodating:) The area is great too- steps from the beach and local restaurants The room was big and the ac worked great - all in all highly recommend this spot if youre staying in ko samui

Honestly not much? The only issue i had was the circuit breaker tripped one night and i couldnt figure out why the power wouldnt turn on - but again June was such a big help she just let me know about the circuit breaker and boom problem solved :) thanks so much for everything
