Our family of four had a great one-week stay at Baan Asree. There was so much to do in and around Ao Nang, we easily could have stayed longer. The host made several recommendations and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. He made bookings for us and ensured we got where we needed to go for the best price. There are some great food stalls nearby the hotel and others within a 15 minute walk. We liked being a bit away from the main strip and had no trouble walking to the beach, night market and long tail boats. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have a separate kitchenette area to have breakfast before heading out for the day. We can’t say enough good things about the host, who was always friendly and helpful and treated us like family. We highly recommend this stay!

There are 4 units at Baan Asree, much like small apartments, each with their own sliding glass doors private entrance. Our family of 4 chose this place for the 3 big king beds for teenagers. We were very comfortable and appreciated all the space and the kitchen. As there is no “reception” area, the host connected us on Whats App right away for any communication needs. We booked our Hong Islands day trip through Mard, the host, as we offered a good discount.

My only small suggestion would be to clean up the garbage and rubbish in the outdoor area and among the plants and gardens, and sweep the bugs and cobwebs from the ceilings. All the lower, usable areas were very clean. While location is further than we’d hoped, it was wonderful having the best take out halal across the street, and 7-11 just beside.

The place is not 5 star hotel. So do not expect such posh things, but accommodation is tidy. The place is 20 minutes walk from the beach and Night Market. But what was important to us, the host is very amazing person. It Is a family run business and is very welcoming. We asked to check in early morning (5 am) and host was available to let us in. Our driver could not find the place, but host found us and escorted to the place. We were very tired as we travelled for 10h in the car, the host offered to deal with all paperwork when we sleep and woke up at the evening. It was so amazing and human. I was not expecting such welcoming environment. He also guided us around the town. For small additional fee, you can rent a car from he, so you will not need to use taxi. Highly recommend.

The host is the best part of the stay, he is friendly and helpful 👍 The rooms are large, plenty of room for my wife and children. The beds are big and comfortable, only needed the air conditioner on for a short amount of time and place stayed cool all night and had great nights sleep every night. The separate kitchen area is also big, has a prep area, and a kitchen table/chairs, a brand new toaster, kettle and large fridge/freezer. Inside our room we also had a separate shower and toilet area, body wash, shampoo and toilet paper all provided. There is a 7/11 next door, and a Great cafe right in front with excellent drinks and meals. There so many shops and restaurants minutes away in every direction. Clothes washing service available afew doors up, they wash, dry and fold all our clothes for low price. Can highly recommend Baan Asree 😊

We accidentally left two items in Krabi and the owner graciously sent them to us in Bangkok. This was what our stay was like as well He was warm and welcoming. He helped accommodate and even gave us an extra towel, blanket and pillow. The location was two minutes from the Saturday market and around d some good restaurants. We loved how close it was to Super Cheap as well. We enjoyed the details like having a knife and cutting board to enjoy some Thai fruit as well. The ac worked well and the neighborhood is safe; I know this be cause I accident left my wallet and bag outside on the table all night. It was only an 8 minute drive to the beach. It has a cute little restaurant Chill Chill right in front of his place as well. If you are traveling with a family and have a car, it's a great place to stay. If you don't have a car, there were other means of transportation to the beach. It was a quiet and very clean place. We appreciated them taking off shoes at the door as this means the floor of the place is clean. They had great room service where they would give us new towels and sheets everyday. They didn't scrimp on service. The walls are a little thin but we had white noise. I would advise that you bring a sponge and dishwashing soap if you plan on using their cups, mugs and dishes; we used it everyday and it was great. For the shower, they provide body wash and shampoo. I would recommend that you bring your own hand soap. Outside of this, we were very content.

- we had the apartment at the front on the street level. Spacious living area and a big bedroom with 3 very comfortable queen size beds - the AC in the room was powerful and kept a good temperature throughout the night - the guesthouse host was very friendly. We arrived early because of our bus from Bangkok so he let us drop our bags in his office and drove us to Ao Nang beach and then kindly picked us up when we couldn’t get a taxi back. - he also let us check in as soon as the other guests had left - the location is just a 20min walk to the closest beach and the minimart next door is one of better priced shops that I found in the area. Fruit shop on the corner and lots of small restaurants around

- the living area didn’t have an ac, just a fan but it didn’t bother us too much as we hung out in the bedroom

The room was big and spacious. The sitting room was separate from the bedroom. The host was happy to help with everything. The location was ok, right next to a few stores and a local market.

The pool hasn't been taken care of for a long time and the area around it smelled bad. There were some ants in the room, although we understand that that happens everywhere in Thailand.

Sourronded by restaurants....a Big C supermarket right next ! If I ever return, I wouldn’t think twice about booking again !!

1. Good value for money - room comes with 3 king size beds, big refrigerator, smart TV, AC, living and dining area and hot shower. 2. Location - a lot of halal eateries nearby with convenient stores just beside the room. Ao Nang beach & Ao Nang Night Market is only 10 minutes away by car or tuktuk. 3. Small swimming pool for the kids 4. Very friendly and helpful staff

1. Smelly toilet. Luckily there was a ventilation fan inside the bathroom.
