We had a very good stay at S2 Residence in Krabi. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were very kind and helpful. At first we got a room with two beds pushed together, but when we told them that our 2-year-old child couldn’t sleep like that, they quickly gave us another room with a big bed. The room was spacious and very clean. The swimming pool was also quite big and very clean. Overall, we were very happy with our stay!

For people who are sensitive to noise at night, I recommend bringing earplugs because sometimes the sound of motorcycles outside can wake you up. It didn’t bother us too much, and we got used to it quite quickly.

I had a wonderful stay at S2 in Aonang, Krabi. The hotel has a very clean, home-like atmosphere. The room, bathroom, and beds were spotless, and there were no pests or mosquitoes. The bathroom drainage system worked well, and there were no unpleasant odours. The air conditioning was strong and effective. A big plus is there’s a big 7-11 convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, along with a night market and several local food options nearby. Overall, I was extremely pleased with my stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and clean place to stay in Krabi.

One downside is that it’s a bit further from Aonang Beach, but this could be a positive if you want to avoid the noisy pubs and restaurants. Overall, a very enjoyable and peaceful stay.

The hotel was very clean, the room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were always very friendly and had smiles on their faces when greeting us and the rooms were very well cleaned each day when we came back to the hotel after activities. Theres a 7-11 conveniently located nearby as well as a small supermarket - very handy. The area near this hotel is majority Muslim so hearing the calls to prayer in the evening was a beautiful experience and felt like another world. The only thing to note is it's a 20 minute walk to the beach from here but that was not a problem, just something to be aware of for anyone with less mobility. Overall I highly recommend staying here because the facilities for what you pay are excellent

The hotel is located a bit far from the main part of Ao Nang. About 15 minutes walk to the night market. Taxi to the center about 100 bath per person. Clean hotel. There is a fridge. The air conditioning was a bit weak, and there is no shower curtain in the bathroom. During the shower the entire bathroom flooded. They provide towels, detergents. Hair dryer available. Hotel in the Islamic part. In the morning at 5 we were woken up by calls to prayer from megaphones. In the hotel you have to move around barefoot. Shoes are left at the entrance. The hotel staff deserve praise! Very helpful.

Air condition

The staff are nice especially the older lady in specs was super friendly and nice. Room was clean and great for the price. There's balcony, water heater, fridge, basic toiletries(not toothbrush/toothpaste), comfy bed, kettle and 2 cups, 2 bottled water, tv not much channel but who watch tv on a trip right? You got to leave your shoes at the lobby or at least carry it until you are at the main entrance below because cant walk around in shoes/sandals in the hotel. But floor is clean dont worry. There's halal food nearby and a mosque nearby to call out for prayer time. So that's a good spot for muslim people. Ao nang beach is about 5-10mins drive? Bolt car works better in krabi than grab car. Didnt get any luck on grab/bolt bike like in bangkok.

The stairs? There's no lift but i'm still ok with it though. So for those who bring heavy stuff and have issues with stairs or pregnant or have kids, not a good idea to stay here. But other than that, it's a great place to stay.

I was initially skeptical because of comments about noise from the nearby mosque and the hotel's location outside Ao Nang's center. However, staying here proved to be the best decision. Ao Nang's downtown is an overly commercialized tourist trap with overpriced restaurants, so staying at S2 Residence felt like a refreshing escape from the chaos. The staff provide warm, genuine hospitality, making the stay truly enjoyable. Across the street is a local market with delicious, fresh food—a fraction of the prices downtown. There are various well stocked supermarkets and smaller restaurants nearby. Despite my concerns, the mosque was not audible at all (even for my light-sleeping partner). The rooms are clean, spacious, and equipped with a functioning AC. The attached pool is a perfect spot to unwind after day trips. While the hotel is outside the main center, using Bolt or Grab taxis makes getting around easy. For tours or onward transport, choose options with hotel pickup (e.g., via 12go.asia), and everything runs smoothly. This place is a little sanctuary—you get all the benefits of Ao Nang’s location without having to suffer the downtown buzz. Highly recommend—100%! Thank you!

Only AC was in your room itself so was hot in other parts of hotel and took a few minutes to cool down since power and thus AC unit can only run in the room while you are present

The two ladies on the front desk were so kind and amazingly helpful. It was so easy to rent a moped through the hotel and also book boat trips if you wanted. The pool out the back was perfect for the amount of time we spent there. The room was spacious and the bathroom was good.

The nearby mosque could be noisy on occasion but nothing major. The location is great for quietness but a moped is required to get to Ao Nang beach and the night market.

We absolutely LOVED our stay in S2 Residences. Our room was immaculately clean and the staff were one of the most accomodating and nicest we’ve met in Thailand (if not anywhere!). The pool was an amazing add-on and the sunsets from there were breathtaking. MOST IMPORTANTLY: I forgot my wallet to my room while leaving and only an hour later they notified me of it and made sure I got it back a few days later. The staff really were the highlight of our stay there and we would love to revisit.

The property was lovely the rooms and building its self have a lovely finish, and is kept exceptionally clean. Good location and only round the corner from the night market which does some great food. The ladies who run the property are absolute angels, they were so polite and helpful. Prior to checking out I requested at reception if I could have a taxi booked to the port for the following morning, the lovely lady tried multiple companies but having no joy, she then offered to take myself and my partner herself. I really couldn’t recommend it more, should I ever be in the area again I will stay again for sure.
