In one word, the place was "chill." We had a fan bungalow that was rustic but had everything we needed. The restaurant had reasonably priced meals that were very good. It was located within sight of the pier at Ao Nid where we arrived from Koh Chang and we didn't need any taxi service. Best of all for me, as someone who loves to snorkel, there is a reef within easy swimming distance from the shore at the resort.

Due to strong winds, a very large tree fell next to the road into the resort and knocked out electric until the electric company could remove the fallen tree and restore service. This also caused the loss of WiFi service in the resort.

Great little resort less than 10 minutes walk from the pier. You don't get disturbed though as any boats are quiet and don't come along very often. The place is great! Right on the beach you can watch sunrise from your own private terrace although we opted to walk down the steps onto the beach where there are some seats/hammocks dotted around. The room itself was clean, bed was super comfy and we had some quality sleep with the sound of the waves to sooth us. Was nice to have a good sized room with a terrace to dry our clothes. The first day we walked to some restaurants about 20 minutes away but decided to rent a motorbike as other beaches and restaurants are usually a 5-10 minute drive. The resort serve reasonably priced food both western and Thai (just in the morning and evening), with an idyllic view. When we left they also helped take our bags to the pier and I even forgot an item of clothing which they very kindly put on a boat to Koh Kood so I could collect it on the other side. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

The Place is just beautiful! Very Calm, private and clean Beach Right in Front of the Apartment. The Look from our balcony was Picture Perfect and we could Watch the sunrise Even from our bed. the Appartement was very clean and comfortable, providing everything we needed. The Water was Great for snorkelling and swimming and as i mentioned, Most of the time, we were Almost alone in the Water, just sometimes a few other people from the different Apartments Belongig to Ao Pong Resort. Michal was very friendly and helpful, we got picked up from the Pier so we didn’t Need to Carry our luggage the Short way. He booked us a local fishing Trip and helped with renting bicycles. Thanks for providing this lovely Place on Koh mak. We Loved it!

Bungalows located directly on a small (but nice) beach. The place is quite peaceful. It is relatively basic (not a fancy resort), but really confortable and everything you might need is there The owners are very helpful (motorbike rental, boat tickets etc...) and everybody there is welcoming. Koh Mak is a small island and you can can reach every spot in 15 min (using motorbike)

Everything. Never stayed in a place where there’s not a bad word to say about. Everything from the location to the staff to the rooms are excellent. The bungalows positioned directly in front of sunrise are unique and have yet to stay in one like it. The owner Riam is a genuinely good person and very accomodating and helpful with her knowledge of the island. She has volunteers working for her too who made my stay extra special. I booked for 5 nights and stayed for 15. The list is too long to say what I liked about this place. Being a 10 second walk from your room to the sea on a private beach. Coffee on the balcony in the morning for sunrise. The resort dogs although feisty at the beginning are true characters and only add to the vibe of the place. Finally there is a lot of wildlife around the Ao Pong resort which gives a true jungle experience

Nothing. Honestly nothing. Embrace the Ao Pong lifestyle and this will become one of your favourite destinations

Absolutely stunning view, right on the beach. We saw some beautiful sunrises. The balcony was great with a huge sunbed, chairs and a table. The room was spacious and so comfortable. There was a restaurant on site plus other eating options and a shop within a ten minute walk. Easy walking distance from pier.

The location of both the rooms we stayed in was excellent. Just what we had been looking for - a view straight out to sea. Being v close to the ferry pier was also helpful. Both the owners of the place were always most helpful. It was very useful being able to eat at the location, rather than having to get to somewhere a little distance away.

Location wise great ,owner of property (couple )very friendly and helpful , definitely it's little bit remote place so you don't expect to get all room service facility but geyser and electric castle were there

If we tell us what could be better then I can tell u 1.pls make the connecting road little bit good 2.may be appoint few staff for housekeeping

Really peaceful and quiet bungalows looking out to the sea. Room is really big, with a separate shower and toilet and a separate wardrobe space. Loved staying on the balcony throughout the day. Ao Pong has its own private little beach which is always so peaceful. Food at the restaurant is very nice and they can help with laundry or renting a bike. Internet works very well.

The mattress of the bed is too firm, which is a pity as everything else is so perfect at this place

So peaceful and secluded. Friendly hosts and lovely food. Water and tea/coffee provided every day. Incredible views out onto the sea, we got to watch lightening across the sea one night whilst lying in bed, awesome experience. Would also highly recommend Sweet Cake and Dum noodle both within walking distance.
