Mata house is inside of the forest, quiet and authentic. The fact that is a bit away from the road makes the difference, as you can avoid the busy scooters. The cabin is simple, but with everything you need and very comfortable. Location is good, as you're close to the center and in the middle of the island to drive everywhere. They rent the scooters there too. But for sure, the best part is to have Pla, Mr. T and Cherng as your hosts! They are lovely, super nice and generous! One day they did an authentic barbecue and we had dinner together. The other day we went to have dinner together in a local restaurant. Besides the best tips to hidden beaches and quiet places. I loved to stay here for a week! Thanks for everything!! 🫶🏽

Very resourceful and experienced in life host, Mr. Tee. Scooter rental for 250 THB always available as they are plenty, no deposit. Three lovely resident dogs roaming the yard. Delicious grill night with seafood organized. I was a bit sick in the beginning of my stay and was taken care of, recovered nicely in the tranquility. Affordable restaurants and a lively bar nearby. I liked the big elevated level next to my bed where I could keep my things on, organized.

The bungalow I stayed in was actually two bungalows combined, so could always hear neighbor's door closing. Is a bit of a walk from the closest beach, if you choose walking instead of a scooter for some reason.

Mr T who is the owner is one of a kind. Such a nice man and accommodates everyone like they are his best friend. Every morning and evening he is there to say hi and have a chat, give you help and just be a smile around the place. The room is big, has a fridge and good AC. The bed is big. Warm water. Water and toilet paper given each day. WiFi was good! I could stream football on it. Bike rental from Mr T with no deposit at 250 per day. Location is not amazing if you don't have a bike as it's 1.1km to closest beach and all the good food places are 1.5/2 km away. You really need to drive a bike if you want to stay here.

I would prefer a water dispenser on the grounds to avoid unnecessary plastic usage each day. Value for money isn't as good as everywhere else in Thailand. So for what you pay you would get better quality elsewhere but it's in line with everything else on koh kood which seems to be an expensive island.

Exactly like on the photo. Nice place . Good staff. Its not fancy place, but very simple and very comfortable. Everything you need . Hot water in the shower, which you can find not everywhere, shower 🚿 with filter, have kettle and mugs. They bring us instant coffee , and water 2x0,5 and toilet paper everyday ! Not everywhere as well, only they dont have cafeteria or where can we order food but its not problem as a lot of places around even a night market. A little bit noisy neighbours and squirrels at night))) but not a big problem as well. Cute dogs and cats around . So it was a good stay

I stayed at a few places on Koh Kood but this was one of the better ones. The people who run it are genuinely friendly and the cabins are clean and well-appointed. Despite hot weather, my fan-only room was cool and comfortable. It's great value and it's in a great location. I was also pleasantly surprised that the shower had hot water. I also really like that the place is set back from the road, so it feels really secluded.

No plug socket by the bed. Poor water pressure in the shower. Lots of ants in the bathroom. But great value overall

We stayed 8 nights at this wonderful peaceful place with amazing owners. Mr. Tee and his sister are such nice and kind persons and are always ready to help if needed. The bungalow is nice, very clean and comfortable. It is equipped with a fan (no necessary to use at night as it cools down), a fridge and a water cattle and the shower has hot water. The service is excellent: every day free coffee and water, every other day fresh towels and every three nights fresh bed linen. Wifi is excellent. We also rented the motorbike from them at a fair price. They have also 3 lovely dogs and cats which we loved to pet. About 200 meters from the guesthouse there is a local night market with tasty food and good music. We hope to come again and highly recommend this place.

Calm and quiet location in the forest. Close to the restaurants and beach... And waterfall. Friendly and helpful owner. I rested that time but they organized a grill social night in the property. Easy scooter rent from the property. Great value for money.

Nothing that could ruin my experience in Koh Kood. Maybe a smaller and warmer extra night light in the room would be an upgrade.

Mr Tee ( Mr Project) is a real nice guy. Always on the go and always there to help guest with information and anything they need. Having him there really makes this very peaceful place. Couple of local cafes just up the road, both serve really good food. The beach isn't far, about 15 mins walk or 2 mins by scooter. This is a wonderful place to stay

It's wonderful quiet place, all houses are very clean and have all you need for comfortable staying - hot water, teapod, new coffee and water in your room every day. Mr Tee takes care about everything and everyone at this place and he is the real treasure. He is very friendly and helpful and knows a lot of languages and it's easy and pleasure to communicate with him.
