We spent our last night in Uganda at the Gorilla Guest House. The place was located near the airport and we were leaving on a 6 am flight from Entebbe.the next day. The space was lovely and green, the rooms (My husband and I and our 3 adult children had 2 rooms) were comfortable, with mosquito nets and warm showers! They gave us a ride to the airport (for a reasonable price) and the kind driver was ready at 4:30 am as requested! I highly recommend this place. It is located not far from the Entebbe Botanical Gardens which was a beautiful place to visit on Lake Victoria. The gardens were a longish walk or a quick taxi ride from the guest house.

It's an older, cheaper budget place, but I found it to be clean, the staff friendly. Breakfast and meals were simple but very nice. I'd recommend it for anyone on a budget. It was helpful that I could have their taxi to get into Kampala too. I was grateful that there was internet access, and the green, rich garden is beautiful.

The fan couldn't easily be plugged in and it was rather hot.

The best thing about it was the local restaurant. They have a variety of dishes, both African and international. I had a local fish meal with posho and my son had pizza.

The room was ok, but as I came to expect in many local hotels, there were no hot water. The electric heater didn't seem to make a difference. We had to wait for towels. I ordered the "deluxe" room, which was 50% more expensive, so I wonder what a regular room looked like. I have a feeling I just got any regular room. But hey, this is Entebbe and it was a good return for the money.

The property garden is stunning. The staff are friendly helpful and have beautiful smiles and are eager and ready to help with anything. The breakfast was lovely and cooked eggs to your liking with masala chips fruit bread and tea.

Shower pressure is very low, but if you trickle it into a basin and bathe that way it’s no problem. The hotel is a bit far from the center, but located in a quiet safe area.

It is clean with a big tropical garden, it is quiet...the rooms are confortable ...there is a restaurant

They have forgotten me for the pick up at the airport i wanted 45 minutes but fortunately you can take directly à official taxi outside the gate of the arrival airport. It is 10 dollars. I didn t appreciate the fact they overcharged me one coffee, it was my first day in uganda when my safari driver picked up me during the breakfast i wanted to pay him one coffee, the lady asked me 10000 shilling, the same day in a luxus lodge at murchison falls i paid 5000 shillings my ugandan driver told me maybe if i would pay by myself i would pay 2000 or 3000 schillings...for this reason i dont book again this guesthouse it is pity because the aera is nice but to have to fair with tourists

Friendly staff and comfortable beds. The rooms were a nice size and the gardens were beautiful. Nice cold drinks and a good vibe in the bar area.

Food could have been better and the breakfast was a little disappointing. The first night stay we had clean towels in the room but on the stay a few days later we did not. The staff were helpful but could have been a bit more proactive.

There was no power when we arrived and was informed generator was not working. WiFi does not work in rooms. But the staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay,

Our hostess in the restaurant was the highlight. Very friendly and helpful.

Good location from which we could walk to other attractions in Entebbe. Rooms were spacious and food was delicious. Staff were friendly and very helpful - they messaged us after we left to tell us that we had forgotten our iPad, which was so appreciated!

Good location, quiet, peaceful. Close to mall, beach and airport. Great food.

The dining area was very bright at night, which attracted more bugs. Low light and soft music would be nice, but this is a personal preference.

Very convenient for early morning flight from Entebbe airport, arranged for taxi to collect us at 2am, and this went smoothly. The airport is only 10-15 minutes drive away. The room was clean and pretty, the guesthouse is gated and feels safe, there is a security guard. The room has running water, shower, electricity, sit down flushing toilet etc. 3 double beds all with mosquito nets so it was perfect for our family.
