The resort is beautiful . My family enjoyed our stay however location is not so accessible. It's in the inner part of a town or a residential area. People are just near the hotel entrance which is not so nice to look at. Breakfast is good. There's a lot of choices and staff were amazing.

It could have been better if all the guests were given the complimentary coupons for the inflatables and other activities. We got three rooms (10 pax) but only half of us were given coupons. You have to pay if you want the inflatables.

Some activities in the coupon are not available (biking). Some of the facilities needs more maintenance and care (i.e shower area before dipping the swimming pool is far) No Netflix, only basic tv cable channels Water in the shower is salty (understandable since it is near to the sea), hopefully this improves moving forward Basic toiletries (no hair conditioner, so you need to bring your personal toiletries for your comfort) Facilities and activities geared toward families with younger children. If you're a couple who wants to relax and have a mindful retreat, you may consider other options

The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was superb. My nephew, niece, and I really enjoyed the amenities. It's a great hotel to unwind, relax, and enjoy with your family.

Well we reserved a room supposedly with a garden view but we were moved to a room with a view that all we see just the back of the building, which my mom and cousin didn't like. The front desk said we were upgraded but I think it was not an upgrade.

Wonderful property, the photos do not show all of the different pools. There is so much for kids to do in the water, aqua park, aqua play plus the inflatables pool. The kids indoor play area was great, and the staff were simply amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Karen, on reception, helped out quickly when there was a problem with our room. I liked that they used refillable glass bottles for the fridges and there were places to refill along each corridor. The sweets and flavored water were a nice touch in the lobby and the ladies in the spa were very professional yet friendly. We stayed for 11 nights and loved it.

As others have mentioned, the location is not the best. There isn’t anything really around, a couple of little shops at the entrance to the resort. You had to pay extra for the indoor play area, which is fine, but I’m not sure there is the need for the timer. We went several times and there were hardly any kids in there, perhaps if you just paid the 300/400 and then could play as long as you wanted. It was hard trying to explain to my 3 year old that his time was up!

I’ve had the pleasure of staying at Solea Mactan Resort seven times since March 2023, and each visit has been a delight. The exceptional service and hospitality provided by the team truly stand out. A special shoutout to Jefrel and his amazing team at Sandy Bar, including Harrie, Chabs, Bryan, Novie, and the kitchen staff. Hellboy, Marvie, Al, Alex, Lara, and Raymark consistently went above and beyond, making each visit memorable with their attention to detail and enthusiasm. Christopher and Argilyn, the dayshift managers at Earth Restaurant, were professional and committed to guest satisfaction. Rina and her team at Skybar Restaurant also provided wonderful service, adding a special touch to our dining experiences. I was particularly impressed with the recent changes made by Medz, the new beverage manager. His improvements to the drinks have been fantastic, and I’m excited to see what new ideas he brings in the future. The general staff across the resort deserve commendation as well. Their willingness to help and always smiling faces truly enhanced our experience, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team at Solea Mactan Resort for making each stay memorable. I look forward to returning and seeing the exciting developments at the resort!

While our experiences have been overwhelmingly positive, I do have a small piece of constructive feedback. The recent shift in the music selection at Sandy Bar towards a more chill-out vibe contrasts with the previous upbeat, beachy atmosphere. It would be great to see the introduction of a DJ on Sundays to revive that vibrant spirit. Additionally, bringing back the option to request songs would add a personal touch to the experience. Lastly, I’d suggest considering a loyalty program for returning guests. A system that allows guests to accumulate points and progress through tiers (e.g., bronze, silver, gold) could be a fantastic way to reward repeat visitors and encourage future stays.

Great entrance lobby, very open and amazing to look at or walk into. My family and I loved the ambience and the friendly service offered by the staff during check-in and throughout our stay. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was absolutely delightful.

There wasn't much to dislike, however, the guests next to us were noisy on back to back nights. We asked reception to intervene which they did in a timely manner

Excellent for a staycation. Comfortable bed its amazing experience and its an excellent idea that under the bed is cleaned. Spacious room size.

I don’t like the idea of changing locations of building accommodation upon checking in. What is the use of choosing where you would like to stay upon booking and when you get to the property they will change it for the reason its not available. We are looking forward to where we exactly like to stay and end up waiting for the room availability after check-in time requirement. They offered late hour check-out but we dont need it for we have to leave early on our check-out day.

First…I appreciate the staff especially the housekeeping and the restaurant and pool staff. Such super helpful people! The property is huge and there a multiple pools to swim and hangout. There also seems to have all kinds of activities for kids. Our room is spacious and clean. The bed and pillows are fine. Ac system, water pressure and water heater are perfect. There are a variety of breakfast foods to choose from. We love most everything that was served.

I had booked a room with ocean and pool view. We were given a room on the second floor. We got the ocean/pool view alright. However, we also got the view of the roof area above the lobby that had an accumulation of water either from the rain or from the rooftop bar when they wash their floors. I’ve actually seen someone dumping water that they used to clean their floors. The water that’s accumulated is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. It was grossed! See photo below. They have to do something about it. It ruins the beautiful view.

The staff at the onsite restaurant were SO FRIENDLY AND CHEERFUL!!! Their service really made our stay "top-notch". They were so sweet when I asked to them to take a picture with us. Glad we took a photo of the restaurant staff. I will never forget how joyful they were!!! Thank you!!! The concierge (two older gentlemen) was very helpful and attentive when we needed to book a tour guide to visit Minor Basilica of the Holy Child of Cebu (Basilica Del Sto. Niño) and the Magellan Cross Pavilion. They also helped arrange a 1/2 day Island hopping, snorkeling and on boat BBQ tour. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful hospitality "Cebu Style".

Unfortunately there were some little teeny tiny bugs on the counter in our room. The hotel did leave a note to say that they were dealing with this issue. Looks like there were some residual bugs left to deal with. It wasn't a huge issue but the hotel should know that these bugs were not fully eradicated. (They were so tiny that it was easy to take care of them myself) The sand on the beach was not what I was expected so we didn't swim on the beach. Fortunately we experienced the beautiful beaches of Cebu on our island hopping boat tour.

My family and I really enjoyed our experience at Solea. When we arrived we were greeted right away and the property is just breathtakingly beautiful. The check in process does take a long time so I recommend arriving 30 minutes early. Food and drinks are all on the pricier side but if you don’t mind spending then it’s not really a problem. My favorite spot to dine is at the grill bar near the aqua park, (make sure to try the korean bbq pork.) They offer all you can eat breakfast until 10am for 900 pesos per person. They also have a complimentary water dispenser you can find in the hallway so no need to worry about how to quench your thirst after being in the sun for too long. The pools aren’t that clean so don’t be surprised to see a few leaves and some floating insects in the water. Solea is definitely a place I’m excited to go back to. I can’t wait to bring more of my friends and other family members.
