The Rose & Crown has a superb location overlooking the village of Bainbridge three or four miles from Hawes. It's a comfortable old inn with plenty of room inside and out. Parking is excellent, nice views, and the interiors are full of country charm. Comfortable bed in a very clean room. My breakfast was superb. The sausages came from the local butcher and were gorgeous. The hosts, a man and wife team who've only been in post for six weeks, were extremely hospitable.
There was nothing I didn't like.

Great location and a lovely setting. A very old and quirky pub. Loved the sloping floors. Friendly staff.
The plumbing was awful. The pump toilet rarely worked properly. A sign above the toilet advise d to use another toilet along the corridor if there was a problem. This bathroom already had someone in it, together with their toiletries and underwear!. - and no toilet paper either!!! The shower proved a losing battle, starting and stopping by a different sequence each time it was used.

The staff were excellent and we had the best pies ever for our evening meal.
If I had one moan and it's a trivial one, it would be as the building is very old, the sash windows did not open and the weather was rather warm, it made the room a bit hot and stuffy. So a little ventilation of some sort would be nice.

The hotel, the location. The views Room was big enough. Bed was comfy. Food cooked to order breakfast nice and hot. Decent menu staff really nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. We will definatly return
There was nothing I didn't like. It is a bit tired and a few things could be tweaked. Bin in the bathroom, more plugs in the room. Nothing I would complain about.

It was lovely and very welcoming from all the staff William the manager is a charming and funny guy Nothing wasn’t too much Lovely evening meal which we paid for and the bar area where we went afterwards for a drink.?Basic area but full of locals who included us in their conversations. We had a 4 poster bed in our room which was just wonderful. Breakfast was really good and filling too. We are going to back pretty soon
Maybe the hot water tap would of been great if it worked, but other than that The Rose and Crown is a good hotel

Food very good and good value for money. The staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Good location and a good pub atmosphere - good beer!
Windows were screwed shut - they would not open. Bedside lights didn't work - the socket was loose. Comfy chair in bedroom broken. The venue appeared 'tired' and in need of decoration.

Good base for exploring the Dales, hotel was pretty basic but clean and comfortable, good breakfast included. Lively pub, restaurant food ok, friendly staff. Quiet room, we didn't hear the pub noise.
No toiletries, had to hunt down a loo roll.
