breakfast good location brilliant staff above and beyond excellent for dogs just opposite the hotel you walk up the steps across the carpark straight into a large field that leads down to the outdoor cafe of wensleydale creamery where there are loads of dog bowls full of fresh water

booking . com advertised private parking which there is not its first come and spaces run out very quickly if it wasnt for the kindness of staff we would not have been able to park maybe its easier out of season also a load of bikers tend to take up parking sl;ots

The bed was comfy, and there were plenty of drink facilities. The staff were very pleasant

The sink in the bathroom was very small and the mirror above had a tiny ledge that covered all of the sink, so you could not clean your teeth or wash your face in the sink at all, apart from that the room was fine. The place settings were sometimes not set, and I had two dirty cups on my table on one occasion. Also, the coffee machine had to be filled up on two mornings. Apart from those niggles I had a lovely time.

Situated in the heart of Hawes the location could not have been better. The staff were very friendly and polite. The breakfast was Ok and adequate,

I'm not sure how they cooked the mushrooms, they were not nice! Menu's with the hot options would be helpful as not only our party but others asked what was available. Cereal/cold breakfast choice was a little limited, maybe add a muesli or granola, yoghurts and soft fruits such as raspberries, prunes etc.

A good cooked breakfast. There was a choice of cereals, two types of fruit juice, toast, tea and coffee making facilities. Your cooked option is cooked to order, with a good choice of items. Beware, cooked breakfast orders are taken upto 9.15, not 9.30. We witnessed a couple get caught out on this, but they did get something hot with a limited choice. Our visit was when the snow came and brought with it sub zero temperatures, but all areas of the hotel were nice and snug. Our room (twin), was nice and toasty. The beds were super comfortable.

The sister restaurant /public house (The Crown) offers an Eastern Mediterranean menu. Would have liked a more traditional offering, but that's just our personal preference.

Easy book in. Comfortable beds. Great range of pubs within walking distance of the hotel. Good, clean and quiet rooms with fully equipped facilities. Great full english breakfast within the hotel. Friendly, informative staff. Will be returning!

A notice board to display opening times of shops, restaurants, bus times and local places etc, that’s easily accessible to guests, would be great as certain places were closed due to the season but not all guests would be aware of this. Staff were able to answers questions asked but a notice board would be a great addition.

The location is easy for getting to the centre of Harrogate and is close to restaurants and Conference Centre. Car parking is available as parking in the street requires a permit. The room was comfortable and very clean.

The only thing I didn't like was the size of the bathroom sink being rather small and the location of a glass shelf above it made cleaning my teeth and washing rather tricky.

The location was excellent & the room had a nice view of the front garden & Main Street. Room was clean & bed very comfortable. Staff were friendly & had a nice enough breakfast. Decent value for money & plenty of people staying there.

It was a little run down, carpets worn, etc. But this is reflected in the price of the stay. One staff member could have worn cleaner clothes while serving food.

Friendly and welcoming to both me and my spaniel dog. Was able to get a good parking space just outside. Very good breakfast and fantastic value for money in the winter deal.

The single room although more than adequate in its general space had a very small washbasin which was difficult to manoeuvre around or fill the kettle!

This is not a luxury hotel but it is genuinely excellent value for money. The beds are comfy ( I stayed in a single room), the towels are white and soft, there are big bottles of shower gel, tea, coffee and a biscuit. Brekky is lovely and dogs allowed.

Sometimes you had to wait a while - I dropped off my key before a days walking and had to wait 15 mins for someone to come, same on check out BUT this was really minor - just allow enough time

Really nice place to stay if you want to be in the centre of Hawes. Great breakfast , great room, and lovely staff.

The only thing for me was the booking.com add says " private parking " which is untrue . There is parking right outside the hotel, but you may have to wait for a parking space until the bikers move if you stay on a weekend .
