Nice little pub. Friendly staff and customers in the bar. There is only one room with ensuite which is a bit small, other rooms are larger but common toilets etc. As it is at the front of the pub there can be noise from passing vehicles which ordinarily would not be a problem but for the cobbled streets which make them more noticeable. Breakfast is excellent but only served from 8.30 to 9am. Not so good if you want a lie in. Back door key available if you stay out late.

Room was a bit small.

Excellent place to stay in a stunning little village. We had the room with the onsuite and it was all you could need for an excellent price.especially as with a nice bar downstairs you could happily avoid being in your room all evening. Parking around the back was convenient. And the breakfast was excellent

Breakfast time slot of upto 9am to order was abit early but not a big issue, and as I said in the good parts review it was excellent with great quantity

Front of the building is stunning, fantastic staff and their Breakfast is Bloody Delicious and cooked perfectly. I was in the front bedroom so looking out of the windows was stunning especially with the mist rising from the ground & the sun rising from behind the hill, perfect.

With being an old building floor are not level and they creek. Beds are quite high up I’m 6,3” and struggled to get on them so for a small person might struggle.

This is an attractive, traditional pub. My room was irregular in shape due to the shape of the building, which adds to it's charm, and reduced by having the en-suite. There was sufficient space with good traditional furniture, generous tea and coffee facilities, access to a fridge for the use of residents and a comfortable bed. Full English breakfast or a choice from these elements was generous and well cooked, with cereal and fruit juice.

lovely village inn, staff very friendly and helpful. breakfast excellent (happy to oblige with an early breakfast so we could set off early on long days hike. location was lovely village with another pub available for evening meal as they werent doing evening meals. They communicate all about possible place to eat before and advised on booking place to eat as limited eating in the village. Pub inn was quaint and dated in a nice way.

Looked a little dated (which may put some travellers off) we found it looked quaint.

This has always been a favourite place to stay, since the late 1990’s. It’s a wonderful pub and now also has a room with en-suite, which it never used to. Its location in Dent village is perfect.

The only minor niggle is that you can’t eat dinner here and need to “get in quickly” with a reservation at then other pub in the village. That can finish before 7.30pm, if you’re unlucky.

We were pleased to find that this old inn in the heart of the quaint and picturesque village of Dent with its cobbled streets had a car park at the rear. The staff were friendly and the cooked breakfast was delicious.

The room was somewhat cramped and the shower unit doors didn't close very effectively. We were informed that the shower unit is likely to be replaced soon and we felt we were fortunate to have the one room that did have en suite facilities.

The location was perfect for us. Right in the middle of the village, the Sun Inn is a quaint and lovely place to stay. JOFF greeted us with a smile and even helped with our luggage. We drank in their bar which served a selection of different ales before retiring to our rooms for the night. The twisted structural nature of the Sun Inn adds to its attraction but one must have their wits about them when walking in the darkness of your room. JOFF'S huge generous breakfast was well presented and a real treat for us three hungry gents. Just what we needed for the day ahead. PAT served us breakfast and any requests for more coffee, tea or toast was quickly served.

The shower head was all loose and couldn't be locked off. Had to use the rain head of the shower instead. Not a big deal, but should be addressed.

I stated here with a group of friends whilst we took on the Three peaks challenge. This was a fantastic place for us to stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. They even provided us with a packed lunch for the challenge as we were leaving much earlier than breakfast could be prepared. The next day though we got a lovely cooked breakfast and plenty of cereal and toast so top marks for that. Two of our party are Vegi's and they were well looked after. We were split between two rooms which was ideal for us as we each got a bed and shared a bathroom. The rooms were nice and clean. The pub itself seemed very popular and the bar had a good amount of customers each night. We loved that we could pop downstairs for a pint and then head off to bed after the challenge. Dent itself is small but it has around four electric car charging points right next to the pub which was ideal and the George and Dragon which is 30 secs walk away does a lively dinner. This gets super busy so book up if you want a dinner there. We were very happy with Dent and started our walk from ribblehead viaduct which was only 20ish mins drive away. For a group of five lads doing this challenge this was an ideal place to stay. Thank you 👍

Hard to pick any negatives but the only thing i might highlight is that the bar will get busy so keep in mind that if you're a light sleeper you might struggle to fall asleep if you want a super early night. That being said none of use struggled to fall to sleep so it just depends on your preference. Most of the pubs are old buildings and are fairly small so you'll get the same wherever.

The location was great, the building very old which is to our taste. It was a good all round stay. Breakfast was good and very filling, staff friendly, nice view from room of the church. Our room had minimal noise from the bar downstairs. We had the room with its own shower room.

Nothing that we really disliked, yes it’s a bit tired, could do with updating but then that will make the price go up!
