The receptionist was absolutely amazing warm and welcoming and new to the role yet she seemed like she had been there for years. Facilities were clean and comfy (although the baths are not that deep) could do with sorting out better selection for the TV channels too but apart from that very good value for money and views to die for over the lake and the mountains Again the receptionist lady was by far the best ive ever met in all the stays ive been to at so many places You need to hang on to her she's a credit to the company

Location, view, size of the room, cleanliness, plenty of storage space, comfortable beds, friendly staff, proximity of Costa, free parking, ease of check-in. Hotel well used for stopovers and shows it to a certain extent, but more than compensated for by cleanliness and setting.

Nothing to dislike. Potential guests need to realise access is really only from Southbound M6, but not a problem for us. Though somewhat isolated, it's worth the extra driving if you want a brilliant value room with a view (pay slightly extra for lake view).

The property was easy to find, plenty of free parking (put your reg in at reception). The gentleman on reception was excellent, really polite and professional easy check in. The location was stunning next to the lake and very quiet to say it’s next to the m6 didn’t hear any traffic noise. Very cheap for the Lake District.

The bathroom was quite dirty, hair stuck to the floor where it had been mopped. Quarter of a toilet roll left over. Walls had Wallpaper missing and curtain rail broken. Beds/pillows were not comfortable at all. However the price is very cheap for the location so you get what you pay for!!

The room booked was for the sake of breaking our trip however the room and view of the lake were better than we imagined. We were greeted by a wonderful lady that was inormative and interested in helping us in any way possible which was a delight if the staff are good it makes the world of diffrence.

There was not much not to like for the price we paid if i had to nit pick the beds could have been made a bit neater as they were not fully tucked in properly but not a problem for us.

Anita on reception was amazing,especially with the kids after they locked us out the room. Couldn't do enough for us and answered all our questions. The room was lovely and clean,smelt amazing and had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel was in a great location giving easy access to some great parts of the lake district. The view of the lake from our room was beautiful. Handy having wh Smith,costa and mc Donald's right next door. It was great that we could take our dog also with plenty areas to walk the dog.

£100 for 2 nights for lake view. Room was good size. Staff friendly, 24 HR desk, parking. If your hungry and don't mind fast food 24hr McDonald's on site.

In the services so only food options are McDonald's or Costa (which was actually fine for breakfast). If you want anything else in the evening you'll need to drive to 20 mins to Kendal. Room fixtures are dated but mostly functional however heated towel rail in bathroom didn't work.

The site of this Days Inn is brilliant - lovely lake with seating so you can sit there in the mornings with a coffee while looking at the beautiful view. A lovely start to the day. Great access to Yorkshire Dales and this part of Cumbria. Staff knowledgeable on local area and friendly. There's masses to see and do nearby. I've been here a few times, never a problem with parking and free with the booking.

Convenience - killington lake is a lovely spot to stop at when travelling down south. It was an overnight stay to break up the driving. Staff were very friendly, large bed and room was clean. Lovely view of the lake in the morning.

Shower head was quite low, even for me - I am quite short but couldn't comfortably stand in the shower. Was worse for my 6ft partner. Bathroom tiles were peeling - they had obviously been painted at some point. Our room could have certainly done with a new bathroom. I don't think you would spend any longer here than required.

The location is brilliant with easy access to the Lake District. The view that we had from the room of Killington Lake and the hills was beautiful. Both the rooms we had (the first room had a very uncomfortable mattress as the new one hadn't arrived so we were moved to another room) were family rooms and spacious enough for us and our dog. One of the rooms had been partially refurbished with a newer heater, the other with a new carpet, chair and mattress, but both were warm and clean. Outside the grass areas made it easy to accommodate the dog's needs! The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful especially Dianne and John and although we had a few issues they were dealt with quickly and efficiently. Overall we had a lovely time and would stay here again.

The rooms and bathrooms need a complete refurbishment although they are basically adequate.
