What a lovely comfortable clean accommodation. Pete's attention to detail is wonderful. Everything in the room was fresh, bright and clean. The cold bottled water and fresh milk in the cooler was a bonus. We didn't have the breakfast but it did smell delightful

We found the the exit back onto the main road a little scary as we couldn't see either way very far due to the fact the exit was on a bend and the traffic was, at times, fast. It would be useful to have one of those concave mirrors on the other side of the road opposite the exit, Just for safety.

If you’re planning to walk the Herriot Way, do yourself a favour and book into Coleman’s Bed and Breakfast in Aysgarth — it’s an absolute gem. After a long day hiking, the rooms were everything I needed and more: spacious, spotlessly clean, and ridiculously comfortable. The cherry on top? The B&B literally backs onto the start and end point of the Herriot Way. You can roll out of bed, lace up your boots, and be on the trail within minutes. Genius. Hosts Pete and Theresa are a dream — warm, welcoming, and totally on the ball. Breakfast is made-to-order, none of this fixed-menu nonsense. Just say what you want, when you want it, and it’s there waiting for you, piping hot and perfect. They’ve also got a brilliantly maintained caravan and camping site with loads of great facilities if you’re going down the outdoorsy route. Honestly, whether you’re in boots or a camper van, this place nails it. Can’t recommend it enough.

The property is a lovely building with a handful of different types of rooms, I stayed in the suite which I absolutely loved, great space, fantastically clean and was equipped with everything I could think of needing. Perfectly presented throughout Attentive staff, couldn’t do enough with recommendations on where to go, what to do and gave us a full brief of where to find things in the property that we’d have access too. Pete was overall fantastic, friendly warm welcome, made a wonderful breakfast for us in the morning, took note of preferences and made it a really awesome stay so thank you very much. We’ll be looking to return later on in with year to enjoy exploring the area’s surrounding the village more.

I couldn’t name one thing that I didn’t like about the property

Myself, my wife and our cocker spaniel Teddy, stayed here over the weekend. What an incredible find this was. The B&B was exceptional. The room was a great size for the 3 of us. On arrival, there were dog bowls, dog towels and a dog bed all ready in our room. The room had everything we could need for a weekend getaway. The big rainfall shower was particularly my favourite. We had a fantastic breakfast the next morning, with more than enough on offer. The hosts were both incredible. Very friendly and very welcoming. Our pooch (Teddy) met their pooch, also called Teddy. The hosts were amazing. They made us feel like special guests. They went beyond helping with driving routes, activities, reservations for dinner and many other things. The accomodations were outstanding and location was central to visiting many areas of the Dales. We are planning on returning in the near future..

There wasn't anything to not like. This is probably the perfect place to stay in the UK.

Spacious room, well furnished. Restful, quiet. Great stand-alone bath with plenty of hot water. Local soap, nice touch. Lovely hosts with local knowledge and concerned to ensure our needs were met. Room upgrade on first night greatly appreciated. Had considered staying at Aysgarth Falls hotel but preferred this, no pub or building site noise and a huge room.

Nothing although apologies for spraying the bedroom with the shower hose whilst I worked out the bath taps!

This was a great spot to stay in the Yorkshire Dales. The property is well maintained and host was extremely helpful providing advice about where to eat, helping out with restaurant bookings, and walks in the local area. The advice was greatly appreciated. Rooms were very large and spotless. Would stay here again!

Being picky but the poached eggs at breakfast were hard. Apart from that nothing to complain about.

Exceptional property in a lovely location. Stayed in this area many times before, but this was my first stay at the Colman's . Couldn't recommend this B&B enough 👌🏻 outstanding breakfast with plenty of choice, exceptionally clean room with everything you need, and more . I could go on and on ! My only regret was that I didn't say goodbye to a superb host in Clare , as she was busy talking with other guests, and I didn't want to be rude . So thank you Clare for a lovely stay, will definitely be coming back.

Peter gave us a very warm welcome on arrival, showed us our room which was so spacious, light and super clean. Very comfy bed, amazing shower, full tea and coffee making facilities. Lovely full English set us up before our drizzly walk by the falls. All in all a fabulous 2 night stay and will definitely be coming back

Amazing host - very friendly and accommodating! Room was lovely, clean and very homely. Great location for local walks and nice pub in the walking distance. Fantastic breakfast. All little additions like local hand made soap, drink on arrival, quality teas and coffees in the room - every single detail well thought out- highly recommended
