You can tell that a lot of thought has been put into the decoration, furnishing and layout, it's a really calm and comfortable place to stay. The kitchen was great and had everything we needed for cooking. Penny met us when we arrived and showed us the apartment, it was easy to reach her when we had questions. I'd recommend visiting Aysgarth Falls and The Forbidden Corner when you visit.

Getting into the parking spaces was very difficult, even with a small car. There was lots of free parking 5 minutes away in the town centre so we used that instead.

Warm and beautifully appointed with quality furnishings. Tea, coffee, milk, butterscotch biscuits and flapjacks provided. Fantastic shower. Everything thought of to make the stay very comfortable indeed. Amazing facilities cleverly tucked into a small space. Perfect for a single or couple. Henry’s personal welcome was a lovely touch too. .

We needed two beds but although the sofa bed was excellently provided with all the linen required, it wasn’t comfortable for an adult to sleep on, due to the ridge running down the bed when the sofa was opened out.

Huge house which has been finished to a very high and comfortable standard. The facilities were brilliant and even with 16 of us (plus a dog) in the house we didn't feel on top of each other. Kitchen and bar area are very well equipped with everything you could need. Henry and Penny were very friendly and helpful. We all wish we could have stayed longer.

Parking is tight, so if you aren't a confident driver/parker you may prefer to park in town which is just a short walk away. Nothing else negative to say.

We stayed in The Den, it was spotless and tidy. The apartment was supplied with everything you will need. It was super comfy, quiet and calming. It was the perfect place to rest and recharge against such a beautiful setting of the Yorkshire dales. Couldn't recommend it enough for a place to stay and an area to visit.

The Den is a spotlessly clean little apartment with a home from home feel as everything is brand new and very well converted. Everything you need. Comfortable bed. Great location and lovely and peaceful. Coffee, tea, milk etc provided which was great, even some dog treats. Perfect size for 2 adults and a 12 year old and well behaved doggo. Lovely welcome on arrival. Walking distance to some lovely eateries, pubs and hotels where the locals were very welcoming. Food was excellent!! Would definitely recommend.

The £15 per dog per night was a little expensive we felt. Booking.com stated there was no charge?? We probably would not have booked had we known this in advance. Had to reverse into the parking space as we have a long car which was quite tricky as the Lodge is off a main road but managed. The shower was lovely but could have been a little hotter.

The place was very clear and really modern.

If i have to be picky i thought the car parking was pretty hard to park a d a parking g bay was right next the the exit/entrance which made it difficult to pull into the property. But apart for. That it was lovely.

The steps leading to the flat are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. I struggled a bit. The sofa is very uncomfortable for watching tv for any length of time

The location was perfect for the things we wanted to see. A great central location for the Yorkshire Dales. The place was very clean and had everything you might need inside.

The steps up to the room and the low entrance of the door, you had to make sure you ducked whenever you walked through.

Quiet location set back from the road, yet still close enough for a gentle stroll into the village center. Everything tou needed for a short break was to hand.

For the amount of time we were there everything was adequate.

Stayed two nights in the Holt. We found it extremely comfortable, very tastefully decorated, and with much thought having gone into the small details. Trevor and Sarah were very gracious hosts and were on hand to solve anything. We hope to return.

nowhere to put anything in the bathroom, but really not a big deal. Parking will be a tight squeeze when the place is busy.But really nothing negative to say about this place.
