The setting of the hotel is stunning and near the waterfalls. Very peaceful. The night restaurant meal was beautiful.

Had to wait a long time for breakfast and when it came the bacon was over done like boot leather but the meal in the restaurantthe night beforewas beautiful. You can't check in till 4pm and check out is 10 so for the price you pay you don't get a lot of time for your room think this needs to be sorted. Breakfast finished at 10am but you had to check out by 10 am

This is our 3rd stay but now its had a full make over its really nice, the rooms are great, the chap that checked us in was really good, our evening meal was good but not quite up to a standard you would go wow that was loverly....

Sorry Aysgarth but the breakfast was a total disaster I told my friends that the breakfast is amazing BUT omg what a let down, it was a total shambles the young girls just didn't know how to serve or communicate with guests, no one could get in the breakfast area because the girls forgot to unlock the doors, getting a coffee or tea at the terrible machine was a disaster I was so disappointed.. Then the breakfast eventually turned up and it was dry as sticks yuck... I hate writing this BUT you need to resolve it go back to serving your brilliant breakfasts and ditch that dam drinks machine it terrible... we will be coming back soon so I hope to see a big improvement or I will voice my thoughts..

Our 3rd stay, this time for touring the area staff were very friendly & helpful

After a long walk I had a refreshing shower before going to the restaurant, as the sink was very small & the water gushed out in such force that it soaked my trousers, I had to change back into my dusty hiking shorts, after that first episode the water missed me ending up on the floor. For some reason the restaurant wasn't open so I had a warm pie & cold mash. It was one of the hottest days of the year, the windows & doors were open resulting in a fly problem in the restaurant/bar areas & a moth problem in the bedroom, no escaping to drink outside were there was a wasp problem

Lovely room, amazing power shower, staff carried our bags to our room. Staff mostly great. Lovely location.

Just a few weird things that dented an otherwise overall great stay: After we chose our food from the Sunday menu they gave us, they then took it back off us and gave us a different menu without any apology or explanation. At breakfast there was lots of lovely sliced fresh fruit, but when I asked for poached eggs on toast instead of a full English I was told I had to toast my own bread in the toaster in the corner. So if you want that I would advise ordering the eggs Benedict or similar without the sauce, so you get poached eggs on a toasted bagel without having to toast it yourself! Lots of work going on outside - looks like they are building lodges in the garden, which might impact on bar and restaurant capacity in future?

We used to go here regularly for a drink/meal when we lived nearby but had never stayed overnight before. The place has recently had the interior modernised etc. (By new owners?). The room was lovely, with a large bathroom, all very nicely (and recently) done up I would guess. There is building work out the back which spoiled the view just a little, but was not a problem. We'd had a main meal at lunch time, so for 'dinner', shared three starters and a side dish. On the menu, we thought these looked expensive, but revised our view when we saw the size of them. Good grief! Talk about 'Yorkshire portions'. There was more than enough - in fact, much than we'd had as our main meal earlier. The staff were lovely, and all was almost perfect (see below). We shall certainly return. Thank you to all of you, who were clearly working very hard to keep us all happy!

As in almost every place we go, there is terrible muzak blaring away from morning till night; some of it totally unsuitable for a nice peaceful half-hour reading a book in the lounge etc. It is possible to 'get this right', with something relaxing and quiet...especially in the more 'quiet' areas (i.e., away from the main bar), and even a 'quiet space'; but most places seem to think that no one will be happy without Ed Sheeran et al, wailing in the background. The only other minor thing was the fact that at breakfast, there were no tongs for picking things up - bread, croissants, etc.

Loved the location Perfect for exploring the falls Food was plentiful to choose from, excellent breakfast and reasonably priced A little expensive but a beautifully appointed room with a private terrace is expected to come at a cost and was worth it

The hedges around the terrace need cutting as it sadly obscured what would have been a lovely vista Dining was a lengthy experience Although the servers were many and perfect in manners the wait to take orders and be served food was long The couple on the next table left before having dessert after waiting for over 30 minutes for ice cream! Breakfast was the same lengthy wait despite being almost empty when we attended

A lovely hotel in a beautiful area.

Young inexperienced staff were employed. All very polite and eager to provide a good service but still need basic knowledge of the industry. For example, I asked in the Palmers restaurant if there would be anchovies on the Caesar salad? I was assured there weren't, as they weren't listed on the menu choice. There were anchovies - she was very apologetic - she had no idea! I said anchovies should at least be listed on the menu choice for people with fish allergies. She just said she would feedback this to the chef. I understand people have to learn, but there should be more management input when training.

Room was great we had a terrace with fabulous views It was clean and very comfortable staff were helpful and friendly

The only thing that let it down was our breakfast experience the cold food cereal pastries etc although there was everything needed and all looked fresh it was crawling with flies should have been covered very off putting didn't have any of it and the cooked food wasn't the best hard poached eggs poor veggie sausage dry beans overall not a good experience came away hungry such a shame as everything else about our stay was great

Everything was fantastic .... Staff were cheerful and helpful..Super clean everywhere and although our room was small, it had everything we needed and was decorated/accessorised to a really high standard . The bed was gorgeous with really good quality bedding and a great mattress etc. We were on the road side on the top floor, could hear a little road noise but didn't disturb us... View was gorgeous. Breakfast and dinner were both really good , especially the breakfast!

There is building work going on out the back and it spoils the view from the gorgeous dining room which is a shame but obviously it's only temporary and I'm sure will be lovely once finished.

Me and my partner stayed at Aysgarth Falls Hotel for one night. Our well behaved dog came along too. It was such a lovely experience. We wish we could have stayed for an extra night! It is set in such a beautiful location. It was perfect for taking our dog out for a walk. The falls are amazing and well worth a visit. They are just a short walk away from the hotel. Our room was warm and comfortable. It was clean and modern with a nice roomy shower and tea/coffee facilities. We stayed in one of the cottages next to the hotel. We had lunch when we arrived and we booked a meal in the restaurant in the evening. The food was amazing. We were very impressed! There was plenty of choice, and it was plentiful and well presented. I chose the steak and ale pie, which is very popular. It was delicious! There is a good selection of drinks to choose from. We had breakfast in the morning. There was a selection of cereals, porridge, pastries, fresh fruit juices. You could help yourself to these. We then ordered from the menu for our main breakfast. There was lots of choice. We opted for the full English breakfast, which was delicious! I had a pot of tea, and they especially made a pot of decaffeinated coffee for my partner. The chef even popped out to see us, and our dog was more than happy when he was offered a sausage! It was lovely that he wasn't left out. There are certain areas of the restaurant where you can eat with your four-legged friends. There are also lounges where you can eat without dogs. They cater for all. Overall, it was a lovely experience. We would most definitely like to stay there again.
