Excellent fist class accommodation beautifuly decorated bedrom with comfy bed amazing bathroom and added luxury of your own tv room with log fire. The property is beautifully decorated. Tea making facilities in the room along with a fridge stocked with fresh produce. Breakfast was delicious with a different choice each morning and served to your room. Joanne and Steve are great hosts, friendly, and very helpful. Nothing too much trouble. A great gem of a b&b will definitely be retuning.

Nothing everything was perfect.

It is hard to describe how amazing our stay at Rock View was. Joanne (& Steve although didn't meet him) have got the perfect B&B experience down to a T. The room is immaculate, spacious and incredibly well thought out, everything from a hidden speaker playing nice music when we arrived to controls of lights and charging for devices all accommodated for. The views of Penn Hill are spectacular, as expected, and if you are a plane boff you see around 1 a day doing the tail end of the high speed run through the Dale's with your breakfast. The garden outside is inviting and well maintained, and the living room, although we didn't use it, is spacious and comfy. The ensuite has a spacious bath and shower with soft lighting and an air if elegance you would normally find at top end spa hotels. Overall I cannot wait to find an excuse to visit the area again (which Joanne has a wealth of knowledge about too!) Thank you for making our mini moon so special (stayed end of July, just was tardy in posting this review).

Having arrived earlier than planned to the property we were just going to have a stroll around the area but bumped into Steve who got us checked in straight away which was lovely. Steve was full of knowledge of the best way walking trails, areas to wander around and best places to eat. We couldn’t recommend this place more if we tried, beautiful property and plenty of space to relax. So well kept and clean, with housekeeping during the day throughout our stay which was a nice touch. Steve went above and beyond throughout our stay, preparing breakfast for whatever time we wished and even getting our bottles of wine chilled without needing to ask. Which meant it was ready for us on the evening which was lovely. The breakfast was lovely and very filling. Definitely would stay here again and highly recommend to people to stay.

Joanne and Steve were the most incredible hosts at this wonderful BnB! We have never been treated with such amazing hospitality, nothing was any trouble for them. The location was perfect for walking to Bolton Castle and Aysgarth Falls and there was designated parking. The breakfast was so so tasty and the room itself was spotless. Tea, coffee and light snacks were provided and restocked everyday. They even bought us an Easter Egg as we stayed over Easter weekend. We will most definitely return to Rock View.

Absolutely nothing - everything was perfect.

From the moment we arrived everything was perfect. We had found a slice of heaven. Steve our host was the friendliest kindest man. Nothing was to much . We had the most wonderful 2 days. The decor was pure luxury while still maintaining a comfortable welcoming feel. Nothing was to much all the extras like the fruit in the fridge and yogurts. Steve went above and beyond to cater for my tea addiction 😁. This has been our favourite booking hands down. And already looking forward to our next trip back .

There is absolutely nothing we did not like . You can not improve perfection.

We had a warm welcome by Joanne. Picturesque village location, reserved space for our car. Great bedroom & bathroom. Bathroom had a huge bath and a wonderful walk-in shower. We even had the sole use of a great lounge on the ground floor with TV & comfy couches. Also a wood fire stove which we didn’t need, but Joanne would have lit for us on request. Great home made breakfasts served in our bedroom. We even had a small fridge in our room with fresh milk, juice, yoghurts etc. every detail was well thought out. Great hospitality.

Our stay in Rock view absolutely fantastic. We were welcomed by Joanne at the door and showed us the facilities. The attention to detail needs to be seen to appreciate it. The bedroom was beautiful, the bathroom is immaculate, and we had our own lounge which is first class. Breakfast was as good as I have ever had. I have recommended it to my friends and suggest you give them a try. I can't wax lyricals enough about it. Congratulations Joanne &Steve

absolutely nothing

Everything. We came back after a few days because we could not imagine that we‘d find something similar to this astonishing place during our trip and we wanted to end it as perfect as possible. Not only have we been (again) overwhelmed by the hospitality of Joanne and Steve, more than that they helped us a lot after our car broke down during the trip and we had to find a way to get back to germany. They told us about every option there is and even sacrificed their spare time to make sure that we‘d find a way to get home. There is actually too much to write about how grateful we are for Joanne and Steve. But again: THANK YOU!!! Thank you for having, helping and saving us . For making us love the yorkshire dales and for making us wanting to come back to preston-under-scar! Thanks for showing us your favourite hiking spot( which is now forever saved in our komoot hiking app), for the best breakfast there is in England. For literally everything! We don‘t think you can truly say that you visited the Yorkshire Dales without having alstayed at least one night at Rock View! On our last evening Steve told us:“Always make memories.“ And we made a lot in Rock View. And every single one of them will always make us love England even more. We can‘t wait to see you again! What can I say… We arrived at Rock View at the fourth day of our two week trip. Everything here was absolutely perfect. The Bedroom, The Livingroom and especially the bathroom have been exceeding our expectations. The Breakfast was brought to our room at the prediscussed time and was always diverse and you can taste it was made with love. We directly felt at home as it was not only a romantic and beautiful scenery in the village but also in Rock View itself. The living room is equipped with a little fireplace and the bathroom has beautiful candles in it which makes the bath after a long day of hiking even more relaxing and special. What i especially want to point out is how happy and honoured me and my girlfriend have been to have Joanne and Steve as our Housekeepers. From excellent hiking tips, interesting little talks about the village and everything around it, restaurant recommendations over to extra treats for valentines day, nothing was missing. We have been so satisfied that we even booked the last days of our vacation again at Rock View. Thanks for making our trip even more unique and perfect than we could have ever imagined. A warm welcome awaits at Rock View! Joanne is the most helpful host you could possibly imagine. She gave us recommendations for restaurants before we arrived as well as tips for walks and activities on arrival. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a more spotless B&B! The bedroom and bathroom were fabulous and had a far reaching and pretty view. Joanne’s breakfast was delicious (served straight to the bedroom) and will set you up for the day! We hope to return.
