Super friendly and welcoming staff - Quirky yet charming building - Room was great - Food excellent both evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast were fabulous. Great selection of well kept beers and the Guinness was excellent too - (poured with love !) - The bottle of wine I had with dinner was one I had never tried before and was delicious. Just a fabulous stay and great all round experience - Can't recommend highly enough.
Only small gripe is that I couldn't get the hot water to work in the shower in my room - I meant to mention this on checking out - but it completely slipped my mind - probably because I had enjoyed every other aspect of my stay so much and this seemed ever so slightly insiginificant.

The staff were warm, welcoming and knowledgeable of the hotel and local area; nothing was too much trouble. We used all facilities, the bar, restaurant for dinner and breakfast, and the pool table. The food was lovely, the bar atmosphere was fab…. It really was a wonderful stay. The room we were in (5) was absolutely gorgeous! A special shout out to Nicola and Dale, both made our stay what it was!

This was my stopover on the way back from Scotland to Suffolk. It is in the heart of the beautiful village, and is surrounded by fabulous hills and walks. The Inn itself was quirky and full of character and my room was really lovely. The bed was so comfortable and the the views from the window seat were superb. Both the meals I had were delicious and there was a good choice of dishes on offer. The cosy bar area with its two open fires was a welcome haven for both guests and locals
My stay was only one night !!!

Great place in a very picturesque location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, whom assisted me on carrying my luggage to my room, which was on top floor up several sets of steep stairs, building dates back to the 1650,s so loads off character, exposed wooden roof beams, twisty corridors, etc, meal at night was superb,it was such a large portion was unable to finish, breakfast was also superb with loads of choice, would certainly recommend, but if like me your walking is not so good best to ask beforehand if any rooms on a lower floor are available,
The steep stairs up to room ,

Reeth is an old Dales village with a long history, the Black Bull is in the town square which is a large and distinctive feature of the town. The Black Bull is a classic example of the village pub - solid accommodation and food as one would expect. Convenient location when driving through the Northern Yorkshire Dales.
The Black Bull meets the expectations of the country village pub. It would be unfair to compare this type of stay to the better B&B's or boutique hotels in the area in terms of accommodation or the quality of the amenities.

The staff were lovely. Very friendly and very helpful. We stayed here on our coast to coast journey and when England were playing the final. They were very supportive and accommodating for both events. Would stay again if I went to Reeth. Also, it's a pretty little village. Bed was very comfortable. It's an old pub and we had a low door to our room. But it was clean, comfy, and a good size. It even had a window seat. The shower was warm and powerful, and the bathroom was a good size. Stayed for dinner, too. The food was good and good range for breakfast.

Reeth was central for our visit to the Northern Dales. Huge breakfast included. Our room, Room 2, which was quite small and on the second floor, was comfortable. It had a separate bathroom and a separate toilet (both private and lockable) in the corridor which turned out to be very functional for us as a couple and, in the end, roomier than your average ensuite.
Not too sure we were made aware of the slope in the roof in our room when booking … I bumped my head twice. However it was a good value.

Hospitality was really warm and friendly the food is very nice exceptional in the restaurant it has a good community vibe..we had a king-size bed and the room overlooking the green and mountains beyond.room had heaters you could use as well as central heating so it was very warm and cosy.
We found the large bed comfortable but the pillows were far too hard would have been better with a choice of 1 each soft and medium.also outdoor coat hook would be good as none in our room (12) so wet coats hung on back of chair,no wardrobe only a hanging rail and no shelving in bathroom to put your toiletries.. otherwise a nice stay.

We know and love this part of Swaledale. From check in to check out the whole team were friendly and helpful, Sasha, Dale and Nicola behind the bar were great, and the team in the kitchen Kyle and Mary. (Apologies if we missed anyone) Room 12 has a glorious view over the village, we watched the sun rise over the hills on our last morning, so beautiful. Clean and well provisioned, we were very cosy and the bed is super comfy! Lovely breakfast choices and really tasty evening meals. Would definitely recommend!
