The breakfast was excellent. The hotel was in a lovely location with well-tended gardens and a distant view of the sea - very peaceful.

There was no-one to greet us when we arrived, just a phone number to call, but we couldn't get our phones to work. Eventually a member of staff walked through the reception area, and said that mobile phones don't work well in that location. He checked us in, but guests who arrived after us couldn't find anyone to help them.

The room and bathroom were very clean, the shower was great. The staff was helpful.

The breakfast was fine, but perhaps our expectations were too high as the listing said exceptional breakfast. The biggest letdown was the coffee. They served the coffee in a french press, but there was no actual coffee in the bottom of the french press, it was just poured in from a drip coffee maker. It's not that we mind a drip coffee maker anyway but it seemed a little disingenuous to do that but more importantly the coffee was extremely weak.

Beautiful property and what a wonderful, hardworking host. Will definitely be staying here again. Full Welsh Breakfast was also incredible and a lovely way to start the day.

Bar would have been nice BUT we knew that when we booked.

Absolutely beautiful house. Rooms were excellent with space, size, decorations and facilities. Loved there was a TV in both the double and twin rooms. Breakfast was good, especially the twist on lava bread. The garden was lovely with places to sit and enjoy the scenery. The communal room was great, meaning we didn't have to sit in our rooms during the evening, having our meal (takeaway) and chatting together.

There were a lot of spiders in our room, cobwebs everywhere! Around the bed, the draw unit, in the corners of the wall bottom to top. The rooms were tidy, surfaces cleaned, but a thick layer of dust on the TV. The whole suite definitely hadn't been dusted for a very long time,

location.. was very nice, grounds are lovely, room was clean, clean bed ,linen and pillows ,towels supplied very nice quality and super white clean. bathroom spotless. nice rain shower , room itself was nice ,everything you want is there. I stayed in room 9 , bbc 1&2 do not work on the tv..lol (this is just me, I like watching the BBC tv programs) tea making station is a good touch, mini fridge,2 bottles free water , I would add more than 2 tea bags though, I can say what the staff were like, as I only saw a pleasant young lady for 10 mins, who showed me my room, and kindly showed me a large secure area for motocycles. pub (Carpenters Arms) 20 mins walk at my pace, food was good, helpful staff.added bonus for historians and poets,Dylan Thomas is buried here, and his writing house. in the town area, town isltself is a 30-minute walk at a guess.. I'd give 8/10 for this establishment.. Would visit again.

Could do with a face lift in some areas (just to bring it up to date), looks a bit dated and tired. would benefit from a bar and food on site. bedside rugs would be a bonus,

We had a great stay at Broadway Country House. The building is stunning and full of character, with such a peaceful atmosphere. When we arrived it was very quiet — we let ourselves in and didn’t see any staff or other guests until breakfast the next morning. This wasn’t a problem for us at all, but it might surprise some people so thought I’d mention it. Breakfast was lovely - fresh and tasty and the one member of staff we did meet was really friendly. Overall, a really relaxing stay and we’d definitely come back!

Extremely comfortable rooms, very cosy property with beautiful fire places. The lounge was especially nice to chill in front of the fireplace with a few drinks. It made you feel you’re not restricted to your room only. Beautiful views from the property and a delicious breakfast. Very easy check in process. We booked a dog friendly room which had access to the grass area via doors directly from the room, ensuring you don’t have to walk through the b&b every time to take your dog out. They also facilitate you taking your dog to breakfast with you, by setting your breakfast up in the lounge area. Highly recommend the place. Wish we had stayed longer.

The location is great...situated in between Laugharne Castle and Pendine Sands...both are well worth a visit. It is well a run family business and nothing is too much trouble. Even though there was no bar or restaurant the breakfast makes up for that...it is amazing and fills you up for the day ahead. For convenience there were plates, cutlery and a microwave available in the lounge area so we were able to have a take away in the evening. They have lovely surroundings and it is very peaceful. This was our second visit and I'm sure there will be a third in the future.

Wish we could have stayed longer

Very comfortable and spacious room. The grounds are lovely too and the location, only a Mile or so from the centre of Laugherne (the castle!) very convenient.

Nothing really, it’s all good! The quality of the coffee I’m afraid was awful! Yes to individual coffee pots but served with COLD milk, ( we went and heated it in the microwave, it still tasted bad). There should be a creamer (or even cream). Kind of made the breakfast only satisfactory - and it took some time to arrive at the table…

A lovely ground floor room with French windows opening onto the garden with a sea view. Also, use of the guest lounge with comfortable sofas and a log burner. Excellent cooked to order breakfast. The owners are warm, friendly and really helpful. Information about the local area is readily available. There was flexibility around breakfast options. And, if you want to bring in some food and drink for the evening, cutlery, glasses, tableware and a microwave are available.
