The room was 10 star. Outstanding. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
It's hard to say as I liked the room and staff and management so much. Our room the Queens Bouduare was lovely but close to a Karaoke room. The noise was loud till 1am on Sat night. Ear plugs were provided in the room. I also dud not like ringing a door bell to regain entry when the venue was open-not so welcoming. On Sat night a bouncer questioned us even after explaining we were staying there after we came back from dinner.

Stayed 3 nights during week days. The room was spacious, quiet, very clean and the karaoke did not disturb me (was on Thursday but knew already about it and made sure to come back late). There was a fire alarm on the morning of my check out and there was no member of staff around to check its origin or set it off so it was ringing for more than 30’. Also the room was not properly serviced during my stay (one day was not tidied at all and second day they had just made the bed, not even emptied the bin). TBH I would have preferred to opt for not having it tidied up at all or else I expect it to be done more professionally. Nevertheless, I would like to stay there again.

My stay was great! The room was lovely and really convenient. It’s a really short and beautiful walk into town. It really was prefect for what I needed. I was a bit worried about the noise after reading some of the other reviews but I barely heard anything and the little bit that I did hear was easily blocked out by playing some white noise on my phone. I would absolutely recommend!
I visited in the middle of summer and we did have some hot days. The room did get a bit warm which I found a bit hard. A fan would have been perfect. Having said that, I never actually asked if one was available so this may have been on me. The only other thing is there were a lot of stairs. This didn’t bother me but might affect other people.

We stayed in Alice's Chambers and had a very comfortable stay. The room/bathroom smelt lovely and everything was immaculate. I thought the SLEEP WELL boxes that included an eye mask and ear plugs) were a nice touch, very thoughtful for guests. The bed was super comfy and my partner especially liked the shower. I really liked that you were able to control the water temperature with ease. Even the pressure quality of the tap was decent. My partner also really liked the dainty little teacups and even the ambient lighting of the lamps. The staff were friendly. When we came in from being out in the evening, one of the staff said that they were just closing the bar and asked if we would like a drink before they closed for the night.
I thought that the bathroom should've had a toilet brush in there.

The room was very comfortable, and the Staff were friendly. They even gave me two baby champagne bottles in a bucket with ice - but I couldn't drink it because I was trying to work on Night 1 and out with friends on nIght 2. But the space is quirky and fun, as long as you are not planning to work in the evenings. I would happily go there again when I don't need a quiet space in the evening.
The only issue was the noise from the karaoke bar and nightclub downstairs. I had not realised the B&B was above a nightclub when I booked it. I needed to work the first evening but that was impossible from 7.45. But I didn't mind it on the 2nd night as I was out anyway and not working. The doubling of the venue may be mentioned in the booking.com advert for transparency.

This place is so quirky . We loved everything about it . Rooms spotlessly clean, equipped with everything you need . The bed was really comfortable, the shower was amazing. Location is ideal for the centre. The bar was an added bonus, again very quirky. We even had a couple of individual bottles of Prosecco left in our room as a thank you . This was a lovely touch as well . Wouldn’t hesitate to come back, although we would want to have a different room …just cos we can !!! Well done The Mad Hatter !!!

The room I stayed in was comfortable and nicely decorated in an Alice in Wonderland theme with quirky touches such as the cushions and tea cups. The bathroom was a good size, which was a welcome change from the small bathrooms that often come with an en-suite room. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed the rainfall shower. It was useful having a fridge to store snacks and a few breakfast items. I stayed for two nights (Sunday and Monday) so the guestrooms were quite quiet. The online check-in was straightforward and I had no problems with the access codes. Although it's a short walk to the city centre, the Hatter is on a bus route and there are regular buses to the city centre and the rail station.
The room was quite warm as the weather was fairly humid during my stay, but luckily a fan had been provided.

Rooms are amazing Beds really comfortable Free bottle of wine in each room Rooms amazingly clean
Outside looks like a complete dive I was fearing what the hell had we booked Staff are grumpy, not very welcoming, We were given a free drink in the bar but couldn’t use it as bar was fully booked! Stair wells and rooms where not the warmest heating could of done with being on, radiator said 16 degrees On leaving in the morning the smell and state of when you come down stairs is a real let down of your lasting memory of the place Also you see no staff and next to no one on your stay it’s feels very unpersonal

Location was very central to Oxford University and the city centre more generally. The staff were very helpful on arrival and during my stay. The team onsite arranged for me to drop off my suitcase prior to formal check in, and even took it to my room, some 4 floors up, remembering there's no lift! The team were also super responsive to messages via the Booking.com app. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers.
No complaints from me. If you're being picking, the absence of a lift when you have heavy suitcases is a 'downside', but this isn't uncommon in the UK, and definitely not unique to this accommodation.

Amazing guest house!! The rooms are so cosy and the decor is fantastic, really fun and creative. I really enjoyed staying here! The bed was comfortable, shower was fully stocked and everything was very clean. It’s a 15 min walk from the city centre and right across the road from tonnes of different restaurants and pubs so the location is perfect if you’re there for tourism or a weekend escape! Hosts were absolutely lovely and messaged back really fast. I’ll definitely be staying here gain when I’m back in Oxford!
