The staff were very polite, attentive, helpful and friendly. My wife's food intolerance , garlic and onion, was catered for without fuss. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean - and there weas a bath as well as a shower. The bed was comfortable, and other furniture in the room was smart and fresh looking. We had driven to the park and ride not feeling brave enough to face driving in a strange city and were pleased that the bus stopped close to the hotel. The hotel is in a good central location for visiting the places of interest on foot.
It is one of the pricier hotels in Oxford so I was disappointed that the shape of the room meant that there was only one bedside table to a double bed. I had to drag a chair closer to my side of the bed to have somewhere to deposit my clock, bedtime reading and glasses. My wife was a little disappointed that there was no liveried doorman, as was the case when I was a student in Oxford some sixty years ago.

Historic building with lots to look at and amazing location. Very well maintained and presented. Walk to everything. Staff very nice and helpful. Loved the Morse Bar. But the drinks are very pricey so be warned.
The price: so expensive. Not really worth the cost as it was a huge amount per night and didn’t even include breakfast. Also had my card charged extra for a large amount (wrongly) which I had to sort out. Room was a good size but oddly shaped. Tiny window as it was tucked into the roofline. The lifts: I was on the 4th floor and only one lift (which was tiny: 2 people only and if you have bags one only!) went that high. Next time I will opt to stay on level 3 or lower as it was annoying having to wait for that specific lift each time.

I recently stayed at The Randolph, and everything about it was exceptional - from its prestigious, historic building to its superb location in the heart of Oxford. Being right in the middle of everything made sightseeing incredibly convenient, and the staff were warm, attentive, and always eager to help. I especially loved seeing university students on the team, which really added to the authentic Oxford atmosphere. Their enthusiasm and knowledge of the area made my stay feel even more special. Whether you’re exploring the city or simply soaking up the hotel’s classic charm, The Randolph is an absolute delight - and I can’t wait to return!

The location is wonderful. It is a very grand and beautiful hotel, but at the same time it has a relaxing atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff.
There was just 1 thing I really was not happy about.. I had my room serviced every day as I wanted it tidied, BUT the bedding was unnecessarily changed every day and towels were replaced. In these environmentally sensitive days, I think the guest should be asked if they want this done. For example in most hotels there is a notice saying ' If you want to reuse this towel, please hang it up, otherwise leave on floor of shower room. And it is a particularly profligate' environmental crime' to replace sheet, pillowcases and duvet cover each day.. The guest should be asked.,

The reception and concierge staff were exceptional. The location is excellent. The Decor and ambience were very nice. The room was well-equipped.
The light in the room was rather dull, even during the day. The staff at breakfast felt like they were rushing guests, even resetting the table when we had merely gone to fetch food soon after taking our place (fortunately, we returned just in time before the table was given to someone else!). Lunch was lovely, but we were presented with the wrong bill at the end. The restaurant hosts were somewhat haughty. The bar does not stock Bombay Sapphire Gin.

We had a room with a view of the Ashmolean museum. The room was perfect and the hotel location was excellent for all the places we planned to visit. The only drawback is that in Oxford roads are cleaned early in the morning. So anyone who wants to sleep in late may be woken up by the noise of the cleaning truck!
We had breakfast at the hotel on two days. Breakfast was ok in terms of the food selection however the hotel can improve the manner in which breakfast is served. For example tea which was served in a teapot was cold on both days we had breakfast at the hotel. Also there were some missing items from the breakfast which were not quickly replaced. Otherwise it was ok.

When we arrived the staff were very kind (we had a late booking due to having had a disaster with a Airbnb). They went above expectations and really helped made our wedding weekend special. The room was well equipped and very clean. The location made it easy to get everywhere we needed in Oxford on foot. The breakfast was good quality food in a beautiful room.
Only issue was that we asked for a couple of chairs for our room so that the hair stylist and make up artist could work more easily (for my wedding). However, the chairs took over 45 minutes to arrive and the staff still seemed to expect a tip. If the chairs had dropped off within a reasonable time frame we would have but over 45 minutes was a bit excessive for a simple request. Everything else was perfect though!

The room was beautifully decorated with the most comfortable large double bed that I shared with my 7 year old daughter. We treated ourselves to Room Service for dinner and breakfast which was absolutely delicious - Top marks to the chef at The Alice! The hotel is in a fabulous location and we had a wonderful view from the 4th floor so we saw the Fireworks Display before bedtime - Thank you to The Randolph and the glorious city of Oxford!
It was difficult to park my car on arrival however the wonderful staff retrieved it from a side street & parked it safely for the night. Next time I'll consider using the Park & Ride Service as it is lovely walking around Oxford enjoying the beauty of the city.

Interesting hotel - very much about the style, history and location. Various bars were really pleasant, with attentive but not overbearing staff. The rooms are quirky and reminiscent of a bygone era, which will appeal to the target tourist crowd.
Check in was very slow and then got taken over by experienced staff, effectively berating the 'junior' staff in front of us. Should have just given adequate training up front. Admin account for the hotel was hacked, and received phishing attempt through the app asking for money. When I pointed it out to the hotel that they had been compromised, showed little interest. Introductory messaging through booking.com provided a text message number to request add-ons. I did so (requesting parking option). Never received a response, so arranged my own parking (not easy in Oxford)

The Randolph Hotel, now a Graduate Hotel, owned by Hilton, is the crowning glory of Oxford. It has a lot of names and just as much history. The big dining room is dedicated to Lewis Carroll (Alice in Wonderland) a former student of Oxford U. The bar is dedicated to another Lewis, Inspector Lewis, but in reality, they begin with Inspector Morse from the Masterpiece series bearing their names. The entire facility is a treasure of discovies each offering a new experience or its homage to this great University City. This place is a masterpiece for an historic and preserved hotel with great food to compliment the rooms. The center of tourism, multiple restaurants, and even a live theater are only short walks away.
The original hotel has been expanded over the years with lovely new rooms. We were at the end of a long hall where you had to make 9 turns before reaching our room and change levels twice. You don't want to forget anything.
