I really like this hotel from the feedback I was little scared about… but after seeing the place wasn’t really so bad the toilets were clean the room was clean, i really got nothing to complain about… good job guys keep up 👍

The hotel is in the centre of Oxford, fantastic for those who want to enjoy the city of Oxford… and in addition the hotel is undergoing renovations… what can I say, next year will be even better, great work guys… thanks for making me feel at home… see you next year, prose, silverstone gp thanks guys

Loved my comfy superior room. Saw that rooms on other floors shared bathrooms/ toilets etc & I would have hated that. Was in an amazing location 5 min walk from the theatre where I was seeing a show. Got back late thankfully, as music in bar downstairs was pretty loud. It stopped dead at 12.30am though, so that was fine. Was clean & had everything I needed & more.

Checking in was a bit slow, as staff were busy downstairs in the bar, but he was friendly & helpful once he got up to reception. It did take 3 rings of the bell & a phone call before they came up. They probably would do better to tell people to check in down in the bar. I would have done so if I hadn’t just lugged my suitcase up the many steep stairs.

The bed was comfortable with good pillows to sit up with. Wash basin in the room was convenient when using the kettle for tea and coffee and cleaning teeth. The single armchair, windows, curtains and heater were all good too and the share bathroom was nearby and quite nice. Stairs to access were not difficult or too steep and access to the building and to our room was easy.

The window outside our room was jammed quite wide open. Unable to be closed. And the carpet on the stairs looked dirty, some of which maybe due to renovations on a floor below ours.

Fantastic location in the centre of Oxford, 30 seconds from the bus station, 5 minutes from the train station. Great for exploring Oxford and plenty of places to eat within a short distance. As many other reviews state, rooms are not quite like the photos in the listing, this said the room was warm (outside temperature was 2°) and clean, the bed was comfortable and bedding was clean, bathroom was extremely spacious with instant hot water. Hotel entrance wasn’t easy to find as its sign posted as Oxohotel, with the door next to the OXO Bar, Would certainly stay again.

A clean, warm room with enough space to move around in and details such as the iron and ironing board useful if you're attending a formal event, price was OK for comparatives but Oxford is not a cheap place to stay in compared parts of continental Europe. I arrived late in evening and grateful staff still around wheras I might have been locked out in other places.

I like club music so was not an issue for me but could hear the faint pub club beat next door until around 1pm on Friday night - may not be great for romantic getaway or hard of sleeping

The hotel is centrally located and one can visit many key attractions in and around the city centre. The hotel staff Mr. Aasik was very friendly and also took good care of our requirements during the stay. Good for a short (2-3 nghts) stay. The room heating was comfortable and the hotel wifi was also good to conduct some meetings etc. Mr. Aasik was really helpful in all the requests.

It is a bit difficult to find the hotel at one go. The hotel name has changed. It is just above a bar and hence weekend nights could be a bit full with music :). The heating in the bathroom shall be checked and there are no elevators (this is usual in many Oxford hotels though).

The location was central and expedient, near the train and bus station and close to all main attractions. We got a code to the property and another to the room and this worked impeccably. The receptionist was service-minded and allowed us to have our luggage stored at the property after we left our room, thereby relieving us of the burden of carrying the luggage most of a day to come back and get it before leaving for another location, that was terrific.

The property was relatively old and some of the facilities might be in need of replacing. Claiming that the premises were a luxury hotel might be an overstatement. However, there is still a one-to-one correspondence between price and quality.

The desk guy let me keep my bags in the room and he carried them down because I needed to overstay by an hour. It made up for not being able to get into the place at the beginning.

Hard to find. There is a renovation and a name change. Many of the difficulties can be overcome with renovation.

The room was very comfortable and the ensuite bathroom was really excellent in terms of size and standard. The location was excellent. It is in walking distance of the railway station and bus station. It is also in walking distance of the high street where shops and restaurants are located. There are several restaurants, pubs and a theatre on the same street as the hotel. I would like to sing the praises of the young man (I regretfully did not get his name) who worked at the reception desk during our stay. He was extremely polite and helpful. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. We both would like to send him our thanks as he helped make our visit to Oxford most enjoyable.

The only warning I would give to prospective guests is that to access the reception and the bedrooms means walking up several flights of stairs. Just keep that in mind if you are going to book, otherwise it is a great place to stay and I am sure we will use it again on future visits.

Fantastic value for money, comfortable beds, excellent and convenient location. Quiet, clean.

The door and the entrance looks a bit a dodgy, and answering the door was a little slow. Maybe some little trees on the outside, a brighter sign, and quicker response when a client is ringing the door Also, the radiator in my room was falling off the wall, which also had damp marks. The locks were also hard to use.
