Breakfast was adequate. Staff was very helpful and location was great. Room was clean and good value for money. Overall I was very happy with my choice. I will keep this hotel in mind for future visits.

Maybe there could be less of a visible rush during breakfast time on the part of the staff. The kitchen being open for patrons to see and the breakfast taking place in the reception area, the rush to get through the breakfast & clear the tables did leave a bad taste at the end of an otherwise great stay. It's not really anyone's fault -- It might be an idea to serve breakfast exclusively in one of the enclosed areas not immediately in front of the reception or by the kitchen.

The place was in a great location, it’s very close to everything! The room was very clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was lovely, I think it was done up recently because it was more modern than the room. Staff were lovely and very helpful.

Water pressure wasn’t great Internet was a bit slow, but the whole city is just kind of like that Stairs are steep so just be careful Not a complaint but there is construction going on at the moment so you have to walk through a construction path to get there

The staff was really friendly; the hotel is very close to the train station and not so far away from the city center (around 18-20 mins by walk). They let me leave my luggage there after I checked out, which was really helpful. Compared to Oxford's prices, this was a nice budget stay.

The room's window did not close properly or better said there is a gap where the cold air rushed in the room, although to mitigate this I found they left there a block of some isolator that matched perfectly to the window (see picture). It is nice they offer basic breakfast, but unfortunately nothing really for vegans (except some fruits). There was ongoing construction work outside, but that is not the hotel's fault and the noise was acceptable (no outside work during the night). Also it was no elevator to the upper floors, but this didn't bother me as I didn't have a large luggage.

Friendly, no fuss accommodation located next to the station. We were met by friendly staff, able to leave our bags behind the desk prior and after check in/out. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and warm and the bathroom was generously sized! You are a bit out of town but a light walk is all is needed to reach the main hub of Oxford - being right next to the station is such a bonus. Breakfast was simple fare and I really appreciated getting a proper pot of tea in the morning. We were pre-warned about the noise and provided with sound/light insulation boards in the room. We had no issue, just a low hum at night and some talking in the morning (not too early about 9am).

The shower pressure was pretty average

The staff could not have done more for us, very friendly and helpful with local visitor tips. The food is good and the rooms are spotlessly clean, which must be difficult to maintain with major roadworks outside the front door. Lovely garden, which unfortunately we didn't experience in full as the weather wasn't good enough. Great location for trains, buses and walking access into Oxford.

There are currently major roadworks outside the hotel. Not their fault and they have done their best to minimise the impact on guests, we were aware before we arrived that this would be the case. However, bearing this in mind, the B&B price seemed steep. The hotel is in a very old building which means the stairs are narrow and steep. We were right at the top, which is a bit of a challenge with 2 flights of twisting stairs. I would request a room on a lower floor next time.

Made to feel welcome from the moment I reached reception. Comfortable rooms. Work was going outside the hotel, but hosts had made sure I was well aware before travelling and mitigated pretty much all the issues. Good advise on where to get a good pint and pizza locally. Will return again if I have to go to Oxford. Look forward to using the garden

The stairs are a bit narrow. It wasn't an issue for me, but you might want to be aware. Again it's mentioned so wasn't a surprise, but if you have a large suitcase, might be a bit of a faff.

Really cosy. The staff was extremely warm and attentive, and the room was clean and tidy. Also, it was lovely to start the day having a nice breakfast in a beautiful terrace.

Everything was fine. Maybe my only suggestion is that hair soap could be provided. While I was aware at the time of booking that I needed to bring my own soap, I increasingly appreciate not having to worry about such things while traveling, especially given the airport restrictions on liquids.

The owner was a very friendly gentleman who was extremely helpful, suggesting good restaurants and places to visit etc. All the staff were very hardworking and the cleaners did a splendid job

The property itself was very dated and could do with a refurbishment but having said that it couldn’t be faulted for its cleanliness. Every area was spotless

Convenient, but it's the staff that really shine. I'm not sure I've ever dealt with hotel staff as friendly, considerate and concerned about your comfort.

The location is noisy with the nearby construction so we generally stayed away until it got quiet in the evening. However, the staff provide excellent screens for the windows to keep out the noise.

The location was very convenient to the train station and to the things we wanted to see. A Continental breakfast was included and for a very reasonable price, we were able to have "made to order" hot breakfast. The shared bathroom was very nice.

We would rather have had an en suite bathroom, but there was only one time when it conflicted with the neighbor's use of it. It was a bonus to have a sink in our room.o
