A great location, close to the railway station, all the tourist sights of Oxford, and also very close to a wide range of restaurants, pubs, cafes, etc. The room was exactly as advertised, comfortable beds and hot showers. Clean towels, linen and tea-making was appreciated. The room was fairly spacious and had all the facilities you'd expect. Check-in was easy and quick.

Access to the second floor (where my room was) was only by stairs, but I did know this in advance. As it was on a main road and close to the New Theatre and pubs, it got noisy at night and early in the morning, but as it was summer I had the windows open (which was nice) and that let the noise in.

Greeted by a charming man at reception who gave me room on the lowest level possible as he could see me struggling with the stairs. I use a walking stick. The room was a perfect size for me. Everything spotlessly clean. Very good shower. Warm room, with push button radiator if needed. Good storage space. As a lone female traveller I felt safe. The 24 hour reception helped with that. The location was perfect for me. It took me about 15 minutes to walk from hotel to train station...so half that for anyone else! There is a bus stop right outside the hotel too.The New Theatre, where I was attending an event, is opposite the hotel. There are plenty of places to eat and to go out for an evening all around. I would definitely stay here again.

I would have liked a plug socket next to the bed, but not a big problem. The entrance to the hotel doesn't look inviting and there is a staircase to negotiate to get to the reception area, so not a suitable place for anyone with a mobility problem. However I feel sure that the hotel would help if possible and it does say that there is no lift available.

Very central location which was easily walkable from the station. Close to sightseeing and shops with a variety of restaurants coffee shops and pubs within minutes of hotel. Was able to leave luggage in reception before checkin and after checkout. Room was clean, beds comfortable and water hot with tea & coffee making available. If I was to return to Oxford would have no hesitation in booking again.

Well priced budget accommodation in the heart of central Oxford. Walking distance to bars and restaurants and all the things to see and do in the city of Oxford. Toiletries, iron and hairdryer, as well as complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits with kettle all in the room.

Decor very dated, and tatty in parts, but for the price paid, not unexpected

Strategic location & surrounding with good restaurants. The space of the room is great for me as solo traveller and the staffs here are friendly and helpful.

Guess the only thing that I can comment is the noise from outside of window as not sound-proof. All is perfect good.

Perfect location for our proximity to Oxford Playhouse - the main purpose of our visit. Also perfect for University and city centre sight-seeing. The room was small, but spotlessly clean, well equipped and just right for our needs. No noise issue whatsoeve.

A chair in the room - but there would be severe overcrowding, so we were perfectly happy to sit on the bed.

Good value for money and great location. Right in the center of Oxford, close to many nice restaurants and bars and walking distance from the station. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which is always a big bonus. The accommodation met our needs, clean with fresh towels provided every day. Would highly recommend and perfect for a weekend break

There was nothing not,to like. Perhaps a small fridge would have been good.

The room was fine, just what you expect, clean and tidy, and surprisingly good triple glazing blocking noise considering it's on a busy street.

There was an odd smell in the entrance but nowhere else

Comfortable and central. Rooms were very clean and beds comfortable. The hallways/front door were a bit dirty, could use a good scrub for sure. The room itself was spotless and comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room and staff was very kind and welcoming. Windows closed for excellent sound dampening. Very central, great with kids. Would absolutely book again!

Room well equipped. Location - right in the middle of oxford which is a very busy town, yet i didnt experience any road noise in the room. Fairly clean - shower uninspiring and fairly basic but all in all a decent, friendly place to stay. Could do with better provision for an early drop off box for keys. A hook on the outside of the door could be open to all kinds of abuse by other guests.
