The location is excellent, being at one end of Sheep Street, the main pedestrianised road past most of the pubs, clubs, takeaways, restaurants and shops. The hotel is old and hence has uneven floors, wooden windows, etc. That's not an issue, just character. The Queen size bed was enormous, as was the room. The ensuite was clean and spacious, complete with bath and shower. There was plenty of free on-site car parking.

There was no breakfast available, in spite of it being advertised, but there were places nearby that I could have got breakfast if I'd wanted to. Bathroom basin hot tap water flow was very low. Stairs are quite steep and there's no lift.

The guy on bar/reception was helpful and friendly and check in/out was very easy. The room was a good size for a single and seemed nicely furnished. Bed was comfortable with fresh linen. Overall it was great for a quick overnight 'head-down' stop and given it was F1 weekend at Silverstone (which was the reason for my stay) it represented excellent value.

The Kings Arms is a lovely, historic old building so it wasn't not surprising that the floorboards were creaky. But Iwould suggest some easy to fix improvements. The lid of the (tin can) bathroom bin was not secure and fell off onto the hard bathroom floor so combined with the floorboards, the occupants of the room below would not have appreciated me getting ready to leave at 6am on a Sunday! It was a warm night and the sash window wouldn't stay open without a prop - again more noise there - sorry! No shampoo or bodywash in bathroom (bar of soap was provided).

This hotel is full of character, it is in a great location in the town and a stone’s throw from Bicester Village. The beds are comfortable, rooms are a good size and staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. We will definitely continue to stay here for our annual shopping trip to the village and would definitely recommend.

There are a few things that need addressing e.g drafty windows and low pressure in the shower but this is to be expected given the age of the building. The breakfast was not too great since changing hands and there is definitely room for improvement.

The furniture was beautiful old furniture. There was off road parking behind the hotel. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathroom very clean. Staff very pleasant.

We learnt the hotel hadn't long been taken over and this was evident. Dissapointing the restaurant wasn't up and running for an evening meal like advertised on this site so had to go in search for a place to eat. Discussed with staff a couple of issues that were dissapointing in the room. Attention to detail required. However, advised staff we would be interested in returning when fully functioning as it has the makings of a great hotel.

Have stayed here a number of times. Rooms are a good size & clean. Furniture is in keeping with the building so yes creaky floor boards & bed ...but so comfy .Staff friendly. Location perfect & free parking is a great bonus. Looking forward to seeing all the future plans that the new management team have planned, will be nice to have breakfast & dinner there .

Prices a little high as breakfast is not included but otherwise all good. Will def stay again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean with a comfy bed. The hotel was very central to Bicester with lots of parking.

Obviously the hotel is undergoing a refurbishment under new ownership. It will be nice when they can staff the restaurant for breakfast and other meals. Unfortunately we didn’t have a good sleep because our room backed on to the Main Street and market square. We were disturbed by a group of rowdy people the police did arrive eventually. I know the hotel cannot help this but perhaps there would be some sort of sound insulating solution - hard with sash windows I realise.

first time staying here. last minute booking. I stayed in room 3 check in was quick and easy, even though I arrived a little later than anticipated. The bed was really comfortable. had a great nights sleep! . clean and tidy room! bathroom was good! had a old hotel style to it! which I thought was nice..

can't really fault my stay . although I did have problems with the electronic key card they give you. as a smoker wanting to go outside, I got stuck outside at 11:30 in my pyjamas as the key card didn't work! had to call a number (luckily I had my phone) , in which a lady came down, when I explained to her what had happened, she sort of made me feel bad! asked if I'm going need to go outside again, (possibly I'm a smoker) besides the point...looked at her watch and huffed!! slightly rude! and just told me to prop door open definitely check it works if you plan on leaving the building :) .other than that, I couldnt fault the stay side of things. :) I would stay again!

Ideal location, great car park away from Main Street at rear of hotel, loved the original features dotted throughout. Friendly and very helpful staff. Would be great if breakfast was also provided but great quality tea and coffee provided in rooms.

Shower in room didn’t work very well, maybe needs maintenance attention or maybe boiler pressure issue, could do with full length mirror in room.otherwise lovely comfy bed and quiet pleasant room, thankyou

Great communications prior to arriving. Professional & freindly welcome. Felt right at home, we were shown to our rooms and spoke about the history of the building. The whole hotel was exceptionally clean. the bed in our room was very comfortable &. we had a massive bathroom. We were very pleased.

Our room, as right at the top of the building was a little bit hot, but it was an unusally warm morning. There was a fan and this did help. Maybe two could have been better, or another cooler or aircon? But I wouldn't let that put me off satying again.
