The room was not level as dates old building, which I loved. The bed was comfortable and en-suite clean! Disliked- the Tassimo machine had no tea making pod (that was missing). In the middle of the night (2:30am) the fire alarm was set off I was half way down when it switched off and another visitor said it was a false alarm. No staff in sight to tell me that! In the morning, although I was told staff would be around near the bar area, I found no one. Place was locked up so it was drop the key and go business. As a solo traveller, alarms going off at night and no staff to reassure, is bad!

Nice location, well decorated and equipped with all the essentials. Staff were super friendly on arrival, giving directions to get to the car park and what I needed to know. Room was lovely, nice decor, equipped with a fan and mini fridge with essentials, if needed. Fairly quiet area of an evening, too. Restaurant does a lovely breakfast, too! Not included in the price, but its has a great menu suited for all.

Not much I didnt like..room is slightly on the small side..but for one night it was more than comfortable and had all I needed.

This is a gem, the rooms were comfy and nicely set out. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was outstanding, we also had a breakfast the next morning ( only served Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings) and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff could not have done more for us on a very busy Saturday night, so friendly and accommodating. The bar is beautifully decorated and cozy. It was a really lovely stay if, unfortunately, for only one night, I would definitely stay again. What ever you 5 are doing... keep doing it !!! Amazing.

The pub and restaurant were very nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Wide choice of drinks and food. The food was excellent. Staff were all lovely and very attentive. It is a lovely pub and we wish you well with your venture. We will certainly return next time we are in Bicester.

Unfortunately the bed in room 2 was very soft and uncomfortable. We appreciate the owners are relatively new so I am sure it is on their to do list. The bathroom was exceptionally small but probably not a lot that can be done about that! There was a constant light in the room I guess from a smoke alarm and that did wake us in the night. Perhaps that can be moved closer to the window?

Comfortable bed, plenty of storage. The fridge was very welcome as our stay was during very warm weather. Small but adequate bathroom. Staff always pleasant & helpful. Good parking available. The restaurant is very good. Our evening meal was excellent. The building is old & characterful consequently the stairs are narrow & winding. Also the window in our room was small & the wooden wall paneling meant the room was dark. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the town centre & 15 minute walk to the retail village.

Inadequate sockets. When we booked we were not aware that breakfast boxes are supplied Monday to Thursday, whilst full breakfast is served Friday to Sunday. The cooked to order breakfast available on the second day of our stay was very good.

The staff and owner were just lovely. Very helpful and friendly. We had an evening meal there and it was delicious, with giant portions. Really appreciated being treated so nicely and well by every staff member we encountered. The rooms were spacious clean and comfortable and we slept very well.

It's a shame there was no breakfast offered during the week when we stayed.. The evening meal was really good so I suspect the breakfast served only at weekends would be as well

The hospitality was excellent, I asked in advance about parking and early entrance to room, the lady on phone was polite and obliging. The atmosphere in the pub was lively and friendly. The room was small and the bathroom was particularly small but so am I so that was all good. The pub is an old building, quirky but very homely and all facilities were clean and perfectly adequate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to rebook. Oh, and the breakfast was excellent too!

perfect cute continental brekki all wrapped in perfect presentation gift box. quality brekki items also. when we arrived , we were very early, we had arrived for a local wedding, staff allowed us to use the facilities in the pub to get ready and ensured our room was ready ASAP, all whilst keeping us refreshed with drinks and comfortable with chat and friendliness. Also provided local knowledge with taxis etc. pub is gorgeous rooms were comfy and it's nice staying in an old pub with character. pub quiet overnight too. easy access out of hours. we loved our stay, I was very happy.

Wow what a lovely little find. I adored this pub stay it had a quirky cosy feel and gorgeous food in the restaurant. The staff so friendly and welcoming, and helpful. Tea and coffee in the room. Fridge full of items if you wanted obviously you pay for what you have. Breakfast was delicious and Emma was a great host.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was brilliant and one of the best breakfasts we have had in a long time. Would definitely stay again. Great location.

The room was big and cosy. Although could be doing with extra plugs, or plugs in more accessible places rather than having to crawl underneath furniture/move furniture. Also the bathroom had quite a bit of mould on ceiling.
