This is a budget self check-in facility. En-suite with two comfortable beds. Cold breakfast facility (Cereal, fruit juice, Toast, jam, etc. Tea and Coffee. For the price the room was good, clean and comfortable. Great if your requirement of a hotel is somewhere to sleep whilst spending most of your time out and about. Location is opposite a Green King pub so normal pub chain food and good beer is available. Buses run to Oxford and Bicester town centre with stops within 100m of hotel. Alternatively you can walk through a pleasant estate to the town centre 15-20mins. Will certainly stay again if travelling to Oxford

Cant really complain for the price. Might say the room and furniture was a little tired if price was any more but it was clean and well kept for the price paid.

really functional - comfortable - just right - very decent for the price. Room had enough space and a really handy long table to put all our bags and organise our stuff. bathroom very clean and didn’t give me the ick! we had a downstairs room and it was perfect for our family of three - ultra convenient for getting in late - thank you!

very minor and insignificant stuff: 1) if they demarked the parking bays in the front of the property - you could easily fit 4 vehicles there - instead we arrived and three cars had parked mindlessly - not properly using up the space. 2) front door is a bit flimsy and wobbles when you punch in the key code - awks if you have to go in and out a lot. 3) Could use some industrial kitchen roll in the common area - each time I poured water from the jug it would leak and I wanted to wipe this up.

Having read recent reviews on trip advisor of this property, we were pleasantly surprised and had a very positive experience at our stay there. Excellent value, with the added bonus of breakfast for the price we paid. No tea and coffee in the room, but the dining room facility enabled us to make hot drinks when needed. The room was clean, with a private good sized shower room. Communication was prompt, as soon as we booked, confirmation with detailed instructions on check-in was sent within minutes. The room was equipped with a fridge and wi fi password was easily accessible. The property was directly opposite a pub where we were able to have an evening meal. We would have no doubt in recommending, and would return if in the area again. It was very quiet, and the bed was very comfortable.

Not much to not like for the price we paid. There was only one pillow each, but minor complaint, we improvised using the additional duvet which was provided in the room. Tv was a bit too high up, but again, minor observation.

I loved the spaciousness of my room. The instructions were clear and easy to follow the enter the room. The place was nice and clean and all the necessities were provided (soap, toilet roll, clean towels etc). The room came with a mini fridge which was great. On the side of the room there was a desk to pop things on which I liked. Bed was comfy. Overall, very pleased with the property and it was exactly what I needed for my 3 night stay in Bicester.

I didn’t like the fact they don’t allow other visitors to come over to the property. This would probably put me off booking again as I met a friend at the festival I went to and would have liked to hang out in my room with them. Also more of a suggestion than a criticism but a long mirror would have been nice so I could see my outfits before leaving the room.

Privacy/make up my room sign should be provided in every room so staff doesn't just barge in your room.

Me and my partner both enjoyed the self-check in system, where it is as simple as walking to your room - of which, our room was exceptionally clean and tidy with good facilities such as a private/personal bathroom, powerful shower, small fridge, hairdryer, provided towels, television, etcetera The bed and bedding was very comfortable, if not the most comfortable we've ever stayed on The location was close enough to the town centre where walking was no issue and far enough away where access to main roads was quick - the street was very quiet and pleasant with food and shops an easy walk away Both of us didn't exactly encounter any staff or owners, however, we were provided with sufficient information about our stay prior to the self-check in process and then once again upon entering the room Parking was good, there is a driveway with space for three or four cars and further parking available opposite the Ava House

Me and my partner both struggled with the WIFI - our laptop was fine, though our phones kept disconnecting - I suspect this was a problem with the range rather than the WIFI itself Additionally, me and my partner felt due to the design of the rooms, we were not able to speak at our normal voices often, move around too much or play videos at certain volumes for fear of making too much noise (even outside of the quiet time rules) - our floor was also squeeky

Great value for money. Clean, and all facilities as advertised. Great location for local shops and pub to eat in. Close to Bicester shopping village and easy journey too and from motorway. It isn't luxurious, it's plain and simple, but that is what you are paying for. We went back on our way home for a second stay.

Not having a sink and running water in the kitchen but understand staff doing washing up probably meant all pots very clean.

Ideal location for visiting family in Bicester, great value for money. My adult daughters & I shared a triple bedded room, was clean & comfortable. There were no clean mugs on our arrival, I messaged the host & was advised they would be out if the dishwasher shortly-great service

The noise of other guests, which is out of the hosts control! A guest went and left their classic car running for 10 minutes, directly outside our room! We were all coughing due to the petrol fumes! Another guest arrived very late and was not all considerate, again no fault of the host. My only other criticism, is the parking-the dropped kerb does not extend the full width of the driveway, so you end up scraping your car bottom, if not careful

Nice, clean, spacious room with large shower. Has central heating which makes it lovely + toasty. Duvets nice + thick + warm Information regarding accessing the guest house + my room, simple + straight forward. In the morning you just go help yourself to breakfast which is cereals, bread, plus toaster + various spreads + hot/cold drinks. I love that you are basically just left to get on with it. Like being in your own home. No staff there (although I believe someone does live on site if you have a problem) You just use your pass code to get in the house. You are emailed what room you are staying in + your key is waiting for you in the room + when you go down for breakfast you just help yourself. I will definitely use Ava Guest House again

I couldn't get the TV to work! The only thing available on the TV was a radio sports channel. Some information on how to access TV stations would be very helpful. Also I don't think the mini fridge was working. I switched it on + put it on cold, but many hours later the drinks I put in there + fridge itself was warm! I think maybe it needs replacing?? Also extractor for shower not working so bathroom very steamy as no window. Mold already on ceiling + will cause more issues if not sorted soon. I only mention these things as I work in the tourist industry myself + would want to know if my customers had had these issues themselves. Everything else PERFECT! ☺️

Only one room with hairdryer showers too low only 5ft high if that no coffee/tea facilities in the rooms double bed quilt too small for double bed no privacy in two back bedrooms due to trees been cut down. Only white bread available for toast no yogurts only three choices of serial to choose from lucky marsdons pub over road for breakfast
