Breakfast was provided in the private room across from the bedroom. Everything needed to be set up for the day . Cereals , toaster for the bread provided jams , butter tea coffee and milk . Self contained room . The double bed was clean and comfortable Maisie the Rottweiler, a gentle dog very docile welcomed me every evening and morning. A real home from home atmosphere , the host Lorraine positively honest and friendly made my stay very pleasant .

Only one thing a sink upstairs would have been welcome but other than that a great stay , not far from town centre , 15-20 minute walk . Lovely garden with a raised fish aquarium , gentle trickle of water added to the tranquility of the garden

The rooms were very comfortable I could not have asked for more, on such a lovely day use of the garden was a bonus. I was needing somewhere to spend just one night in the area and Victoria House was just what I needed and at a very reasonable cost.

There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like. The stairs are steep ,but that’s the nature of the property, as is the bathroom being on the floor below the bedroom. Was quite surprised to be asked to take the crockery I had used downstairs.

Location was convenient to the motorway and for access to the town centre. The accommodation was a surprise. Bedroom with a new, comfortable, standard size double bed and an adjacent, private living room with comfortable armchair, tv, table, combi microwave/grill/oven, small refrigerator and all the utensils for making hot drinks and simple meals. Located on the 2nd floor of a small terraced house. The friendly, welcoming owner (and equally friendly dogs!) lived on the lower two floors.

Nothing really but perhaps the basic continental breakfast could have had a litttle more variety.

While the room is on the top level of the house, that offers pristine seclusion. I very much enjoyed the lounge, which is perfect for getting work done or watching television. The host is kind and informative, and her dog is such a joy! She'll bark like mad when you arrive, but she's really just a sappy galoot.

I stayed for several days. The dishware is washed daily if you bring it down to the kitchen, but the breakfast pantry was not replenished throughout the stay, which made for some bland meals. It's altogether not a horrible thing, especially when the space is up so many flights of stairs, but just be aware for several-night stays.

The guest house owner was very helpful and chatty, gave me my keys and showed me the accommodation which comprised of bedroom and separate sitting room with a bathroom on the next floor down. Had a friendly dog who loves to be stroked and a continental breakfast available in the morning, which was available in your own living room. Which included microwave and fridge as well as dining table, TV and armchair.. I found it to be a very quiet location, and the accommodation was ideal, and I would not hesitate to visit again. Victorian townhouse was around 5 minute walk from the train station and only a couple more minutes extra to reach the town centre

There wasn’t anything that I disliked about the accommodation.

An ideal, welcoming place for an overnight stay to attend a meeting locally. A very comfortable, quiet night’s sleep and a continental breakfast that suited me fine. The adjoining lounge made for a perfect evening beforehand and provided me with the facility to catch up with e-mails, watch TV etc.. As a dog lover, meeting the gorgeous Maisie topped off a very pleasant stay!

Very little! - and within the confines of the building, it would be difficult to change! (i.e. ensuite bathroom)

Very friendly host, with two lovely, friendly dogs. I was made to feel at home straight away and had the run of the two rooms on the 2nd floor - the bedroom and the lounge/diner. Towel and toiletries provided in the room to use in the bathroom located on the first floor. A large, comfortable bed.

Nothing to dislike.

Location close to both train and buses (I was using Public Transport) I could return whenever I needed to. Kettle, Microwave, Toaster, Ironing Board - it was effectively a home from home.

The baby gate to stop the Dog getting upstairs was a bit of a challenge for me 😊

A perfect little comfortable space on the 3rd floor of a terraced property. The room was ample and west facing, was lovely to see the sun setting and the lounge just across the hallway, had all that was required for a short stay. There were a choice of cereals, croissant and fruit for breakfast and tea and coffee are available. Lorraine was lovely as was Maisie the dog and it was an ideal overnight base and very close to other amenities. Represented really good value compared to other options within the area.

Room exactly like image, excellent bed really comfy. Very quiet location. Also get use of a sitting room with microwave, small fridge, kettle and toaster. It was lovely to sit at a proper table to eat. Both rooms were very clean. Quiet location with a chippie and small tesco round the corner. Lorraine, the host is very friendly. This is a homestay, which is fine for me, so bathroom shared with host. It has a shower and a bath. It was also very clean. Rooms on top floor which I love but there are some quite narrow stairs to negotiate so it's don't book if you can't manage those. Easy to find, bus route at end of road, town centre minutes away. I would 100% stay again. It was excellent value

The house dog woke up before me! Other than that it was all fine. (She is not allowed upstairs by the way, the stairs have a baby gate on them so she can't sneak up).
