Handy location sub-10 mins walk to the town centre and not much further to the train station. Nice canal walks nearby and lots of shops/restaurants within walking distance but not close enough for it to be noisy.

The only criticism was that the pillows were far too firm/thin for me. I know that’s personal preference but just to feed back it would’ve been nice to have one firm and one soft for choice as two were supplied on each bed anyway. Otherwise everything was great.

Amazing breakfasts cooked by the wonderful hosts got me off to a fantastic start each morning. Free parking was a great addition for us. The hosts were very welcoming. I had to do remote work the day we checked out and they extended my check out as late as they could so I could work from my room but then generously let me l stay in their dining area to do work all day, no extra cost.

We stayed in the Annex, by the exterior door, which got a little loud when lots of guests were passing in and out to their rooms.

The location was a 10 minute walk from shops, restaurants and bars. We had a lovely large bedroom on the front, with a really comfortable bed. Car parking secure. Julie supplied us with a helpful map of Banbury. Cooked breakfast was cooked to perfection and hot.

The bathroom was a little on the small size, but it didn't bother us.

Both Julie and Ayman were very welcoming and helped us out with finding a place to eat and get a drink in the evening and were very attentive from when we got there until we left. Breakfast was very nice and plenty of choice.

There was nothing to fault, one of the nicest guest houses I’ve stayed in and I travel a lot so have stayed in many.

I was greeted at the door and made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely and quiet facing the back of the property. We had a twin room which was clean and tidy, well presented with everything we needed. Our breakfast was cooked fresh and was amazing, really set us up for the day. The fact that the hotel had plenty of parking for all the guests was great and had charging for EV’s

A warm welcome from Ayman and Julie. A good size clean and comfortable room and bathroom. Our room was at the rear of the property with no noise from the road. The breakfast was perfectly cooked and a good size, fresh cafetiere coffee and orange juice. Cereals etc. was also available.

Short stay 2 nights but clean, really well looked after guest house, breakfast cooked to order, our bedroom had a large ensuite with shower and a super king bed which was very comfortable.

Could have done with a few more little milk cartons but not the end of the world.

The host, Aymar (if I remember correctly - apologies if not!), was very friendly. The room and whole premises were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Had to leave early, so couldn't try the breakfast. If it was anything like the meticulousness of the bedroom and en suite, I'd wager it was pretty good.

Our visit was perfect for our purposes. We received a friendly, open welcome from Ayman, who was able to provide all the information we required for our stay. We were very satisfied with our warm comfortable room with large bathroom (en-suite) and very comfortable bed. The general appearance of the property was bright and very well kept. The property is in a perfect location for access to Banbury itself (as it is within walking distance of the town centre) and all routes south. We did not sample breakfast as we were visiting friends in the town but we are sure, from the general standard at Ashley Guest house that breakfast would be of the same standard as the rest of the property - super. Can recommend Ashley for both short and long term stays in this area.

At the time of our stay and on reflection, there is little that can be improved on when compared to similar properties in the area, a few of which we have also stayed in.

Great breakfast, very welcoming and accommodating hosts, allowed to check in earlier, if it wasn't possible they would have let me leave the car there and come back later to check in. I didn't hear other guests which was a concern with a room near the front door, but other rooms have separate entrance. Close to main shops.
