Easy to find and close to amenities. Cozy rooms.
Wasn't clear on instructions for checking in and out. You have to go to the bar to check-in and I had to ask how I was to check out, leaving the room key in the room before leaving. Easy enough but didn't know till the night before where I asked a member of staff. If you are in a room above the bar, it will be loud until they shut around 11pm, wasn't too bad as I enjoyed the songs and it wasn't too distracting. I can't say how much of an effect this was on the larger rooms but it's a good hotel to stay at for what you pay. 9/10, would stay at again.

Loved the location. The beer garden had sun on it all day. The pizza was amazing from the kitchens next to the pub. There was a band on called The Rebound who were fabulous so we had an added bonus of free entertainment all night. Atmosphere was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were lovely and friendly.
Our room was above the kitchen so was very noisy up to 7pm but then absolutely fine when kitchen closed. We were out all day so it was not a problem for us but it’s the only negative to mention.

Very friendly gentlemen greeted us upon checking in and he was very knowledgeable about the local area and gave us all the information regarding what was going on at the pub that day and where to get food if needed etc. The room was very spacious, clean, comfortable and had everything in it that we needed. The bathroom was quite small, and a little worn, but still clean and did the job. Lovely big windows overlooking the high street and very close to local restaurants', cafes, shops and public transport links.

Bridget (I think) was great, hostess with the mostess. Warm, welcoming, and great atmosphere. We went to several pubs and found the King's Arms to be the most friendly and welcoming. Prices were great, and locals welcoming too.
In terms of poor points, there aren't many. For example we found the bed too 'bouncy' and both fell out at least once, with several near misses, all taken lightly. The door to room 11, 12, 13 etc. Could really do with replacing. Whilst it lacks, it's very old and easily accessible by someone. Whilst rooms were clean, and especially the bathroom the high beams really could do with a clean. Thick with dust, whilst it didn't affect the stay it was noticeable.

We were greeted warmly by the check in person. The room was clean and cozy, we had a great nights sleep! Don't miss going for breakfast at the Old mill cafe opposite, it was amazing! Also the Indian restaurant next to the pub was excellent.
We would have preferred a slightly later check out than 10am. Also, a shame no food available, bar a pizza delivery service , however we were told this on check-in. Not many parking spaces and the free long stay carparks are only for a duration of 12 hours so don't go there too early!

The staff are friendly and helpful, stopping to chat and give advice on the area. The location is great, with a 20 minute drive to the Wildlife Park, Blenheim Palace and The Motoring Museum. There are plenty of places to eat and drink nearby, along with being able to shop for everyday items, so you won't need to worry if you forget anything. The pub itself is great, with nicely presented rooms that are regularly cleaned and fresh towels provided throughout the stay. Well priced place and welcoming, with a good selection of drinks to try.

The location and the room being so big for the two of us with added outside space to sit.
There was a lot of dust and cobwebs in the room so felt it really needed a deep clean, didn’t particularly bother us but it might others. Could do with some more lamps rather than the rather large lights that were on the wall which all came on, to give it a more cosy feel (just our opinion).

Easy access and was a large comfortable room. Room was clean and so was bathroom. Had lovely big bath. Loved the old features etc but one thing I did think could b better was the dust on the ceiling and all over the beams. There wa loads spiders webs all over and hanging down from ceiling, the rest of the property was clean but tht let it down.
The cobwebs all over ceiling and walls

We had an amazing long weekend stay the staff were excellent especially the lovely cleaning lady (never got her name) they recommended some lovely places to visit and places to dine at will definitely be back again
The bathroom could do with having hand soap and maybe a shower and a small fridge in the room would be handy for keeping water and drinks cold

A real pub - cosy and welcoming ,not one of those terrible chromium places with laminated floors and meaningless decor. This pub has a heart made possible by Brigette the landlady's warm and friendly demeanour.
