The room was very cosy and comfortable - lots of little touches like a radio and a flask for fresh milk to go with the teabags. Loved the tea pigs tea bags! Very nice staff, very well trained and hospitable. Good breakfast selection. Great location to wander around Chipping Norton and beyond on the bank holiday weekend. Dinner was lovely - we had two roasts - veggie and a meat one. Would definitely stay again - was made to feel very welcome and felt that it seemed a friendly place to work, too. Staff seemed to get on with each other and help each other.

We were very pleasantly greeted by the manager who showed us to the room himself after asking us if we'd like fresh milk for tea/coffee making. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. There was a nicely-scented reed diffuser and complimentary mini-brownies, still water and bottle of local ale were provided - all thoughtful touches we appreciated. Parking was handily accessible from the back of the pub which made it easy to load/unload luggage to the room.

Minor detail: it would be useful to have extra shelving (or a small floor unit) for toiletries in the spacious bathroom.

The Staff were excellent and could not have been more helpful. The only thing was they could not generate me a Receipt with the VAT showing. The Room was imaculate and faultless. I had added extra's. Bottle of local beer and 2 cans of high end water. Tea,Coffer biscuits and 2 x brownie's. I have to say it was one of the best places I have stayed through booking .com. I paid a great price and got accomodation that went way above what I had paid. When next in the area I will certainly stay here. it was exceptional

Beautiful pub with beautifully decorated bedrooms. Phenomenally good Sunday roasts. Lovely pub atmosphere with friendly staff.

I didn’t like the temperature control on the shower in our room, unfortunately it didn’t seem to work properly. One minute the water was lukewarm, the next scolding. Also, there was a lot of noise heard from our room due to its location. Early morning a lot of noise from passing serving trolleys (from what it sounded like), I’m a heavy sleeper so for this to wake me up, it must have been loud. And also late at night, noise from people going through the walkway to/from the car park was loud. However, I’d happily stay here again. I’d just ask for a room further back from the walkway.

Super friendly staff, great atmosphere and full of customers when we arrived which is always a good sign! And because we were arriving late, we rang ahead and were able to book dinner which they made for us when we arrived 👌🏻 The food was excellent! Lovely room, and free beer and water in room!! Top stay for a pub! Must reiterate how refreshing it was to be served by such thoughtful and enthusiastic staff!!

Mattress slightly too soft. But that is just a personal view. Impossible for them to cater to everyone’s mattress needs 😅

We were warmly welcomed. Lots of advice on the local area was given to make our over night stay enjoyable. The staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was added to booking on check in, which was lovely. We came to stay the night after travelling from Bristol. We were one of those people that came to Chippy to visit Diddly Squat Farm Shop and The Farmers Dog. We didn't want to travel to and from Bristol the same day. The Fox was nicely located for us. And possibly the only room left available. We weren't disappointed. We had spent the evening drinking in The Kings Arms just around the corner, where we played Darts with a local Lad who was so lovely. Pizza From Marco's after a few drinks and the evening was done. I will remember our trip fondly.

We stayed at The Fox in Chipping Norton in August 2024 and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and while the room was a bit small, it was very clean and comfortable. The tea and coffee station was a nice touch, and we were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary mineral water and a bottle of Hookey beer from the local Hook Norton brewery. We had both dinner and breakfast in the bar dining room, and the food was excellent. The location is ideal for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds and visiting Diddly Squat Farm. Highly recommended!

The only negative was that the ensuite was a bit tired and in need of refreshing. Dirty grout and sealant in shower and around basin, loose toilet seat and a poor / damaged mirror with poor lightling. Just. generally worn.

Fantastic Hotel 6 stars!! The best hotel I have stayed at in the uk. Hotel room was five star, food was fantastic, drinks were superb. The service from the hotel was superb and the food was fantastic we had one dinner and two breakfasts and a lovely stay. When the room was booked there was an issue with the rate and the man who sorted the whole thing out was Arnold so huge thanks to him and all the team at the hotel for a fantastic stay. We will be back a family member lives in the local area so it was the perfect location. Thanks again for a personable stay and for going the extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks for a lovely few days we will be back.

A fantastic pub run by wonderful staff who couldn’t do enough for us . Atmosphere throughout the entire pub is brilliant , it was like you were staying with friends . Excellent breakfast and had a fantastic meal on our final night , pub food at its very best ! Rooms are perfect , we stayed in the annex adjoining the hotel .Tea and coffee facilities even included complimentary Hook Norton beer and bottles of water . Parking is in carpark right alongside .Highly recommended and would definitely stay again .

Fresh milk instead of the UHT pots or saches, which is an unusual touch. Complimentary bottle of ale from the local brewery. Generous sized room with a very comfortable bed. Nice and clean. Right in the heart of Chipping Norton which is very convenient.

Bit expensive and room was freezing when we arrived, there was a wall mounted heater but, it took a bit of fiddling to get the right temperature. I will concede the weather was a little extreme during that weekend with strong icy winds.
